The local women self get mind pass us wey township don spoil. Those ones will give birth alone, clean up and bath the baby. When I was having my baby, I was in pain but determined not to shout, I however gave one scream and that was it, all d pain was in dat one.
My sisters laughed at me sha, but in a way they still hailed me for not shouting and crying.

Don't misquote me. I never said China, I said Chinese. To promote the refineries construction in China would give room to Chinese company investors to do so. Indeed, there is a Chinese national petroleum company and it is one of the world largest though.

I am neither supporting the government. Both sides must bear the brunt of their failures. SHELL has a role to play in the development of the area the company is doing explorations. What's with you? Check every country where multinational companies operate, they contribute to the community more than the government. Profit what? Do they set aside community development fund? Please!

Shell has a role to play, but even in the western countries where they do a lot, they dont do it because they just love doling out money to the community. the govt compels them to do so and they know there are serious consequences if they dont. did you read my earlier post bout alaskans and the oil companies? the alaskans refused to give their govt the permission to send oil companies packing after the gulf of mexico incident because they knew they were gaining a lot! and honestly, in the communities where shell operates, i can tell you shell does more than the govt in those areas. . . water, power, roads, schools, hospital, etc. PLEASE NOTE, I'M NOT SAYING SHELL NA SAINT O. but in some ways, they treat us more humanely than our beloved country.

I'm a christian, i absolutely believe in God and I know all power is His but I feel saying God gives and God takes makes Him sound like He just wakes up and randomly decides he's going to kill someone. when people go to console the bereaved and they say God gives and God takes, i feel like asking, why ddnt he take your own?
I cannot fully explain why some people die apparently unnecessarily, even children. . . so i wont even try. but someone once said its cos we as christians havent really understood the principles of God or achieved d level of spirituality we should. afterall, God has given us all power. . . but sometimes, i feel taking someone i love is a bit too much of a tough lesson na. you coulda let me lose my car to teach me d same lesson. . .

my colleagues in my office who are foreigners also have a good story to tell! they said their car spoilt one night in warri and 2 of them were in the middle of nowhere (they had gone to drop some friends off). and then, from no where a police van passed by them, stopped and helped them fix the car, and escorted them home and ddnt take a dime from them. . . on woulda expected that they'd milk them for the 'work done'

Since I've known my dear country, I've never heard any truly heroic story of how the Nigerian Police helped anyone in situations with armed robbers or burglars, or abduction or any of the things a police force is meant to help its citizens with. I only know them to mount road blocks and collect money, wrongfully accuse people, and a few days ago, I heard yet another story of how the police miraculously arrived to the scene of an armed robbery only after the husband and wife were killed, and t[b]he robbers were long gone[/b]. I've basically lost hope in them, but I'm hoping there's someone out there who has ever been saved from a situation by the police.

You can never repay your parents for all they've done for you. how much will you pay them for the heartache they endured, or the sacrifices they made? those have no value. sensible parents will never expect you to pay them back will everything you have because they want you to build a future. all they expect of you is to take care of them to the best of your ability. that means, if our poster cannot afford to give his pop N1m, den his parents should understand. how much does he earn? If he gives 2m 2 his father, has he finished repaying him? or is it 20m that'll repay them?

If her dad had put the money he wasted raising her in a fixed deposit, he would not need to be borrowing money today. I will never support her cos she hasnt proven that he was a bad dad.
