I believe that is at their own discretion...mine took just 24hrs.. i have seen someone own that took almost 2 months...so it depends on how urgent they want you around, i think.

You didn't make any mistake ..... Tier 2 allows you to work and be paid immediately. Its just that currently the situation on ground has been abused and has several issues.

I know one or two carer who worked and were paid for day 1 and were paid by end of month so this fault is your employer because on Facebook you see some going for months with no shifts of stories here and there from employer

You did nothing wrong. You did not make any mistake. You trusted the process. You believed that the anyhowness in Nigeria remains in Nigeria. Never in your wildest imagination did you think that in the UK, an employer will delay your pay for over a month, for any reason.

It’s the company that sponsored you that is the problem, not you.

It was not a mistake. Maybe a learning curve, but definitely not a mistake. There are bullies everywhere, even on this thread. They may want to gaslight & bully you, using different kinds of words and sometimes outrightly disparaging statements and phrases. Give them no heed.

I am still relatively new to the uk roads and I’ve made some serious traffic mistakes in the last 2 months. My saving grace is that I live in a suburban town with lesser population. roads are less busy and less complicated. But, I travelled to Manchester last week and I made some serious mistakes one their more-complex roads. I followed/drove against the traffic for some yards while trying to enter/exit road. It happened 3 times during the trip.
Police were not involved both times but there were cameras there. Other drivers were quick to notify me on time and I either turned back or adjust to the appropriate lane.

Was talking to someone on tik tok who has had one shift in about a month from the care home that issued her CoS, extremely broke and looking for additional jobs on the side

She does not know that she can work just 20 hrs outside the coy that issued her CoS, she also does not know that you can not just leave the employer without getting on another sponsorship CoS. Was trying to educate and encourage her to read up the visa type on gov.uk, she refused and kept arguing

People need to start reading before making the jump and suffering needlessly all the name of Japa. Proper planning with boxes ticket is neccessary in case things dont turn out the way you envisaged. If you ask them to use Nairaland, they will say they dont understand it. Same people who use SnapChat and twitter all day

As my good friend will say, if you no ready use your brain for UK, you go use your body

If you cannot stand the heat....... Read your employee HB and don't commit fraud...... Blame her for her stupidity, you want to commit fraud, yet placed on social media your life history (she's probably bought a brand new car, new mortgage + showing her colleagues her mansion in Nigeria etc etc ) Living larger than her pay packet....... It's all her fault......

You cannot receive sick pay from one employer, use that same period to work for another employer and get paid twice........ Are you a money doubler....... Abi you be Sodiq......... 😝🤣😂

Hi All, 2 things. I currently moved form one skilled worker visa to another. According to gov.uk, my family don't seem to have to reapply since they still have visa from my previous employer. Some people say they have to re-apply for another visa, others say it doesn't matter. I feel they need not according to my interpretation on gov.uk. But maybe we misunderstood. Can some one advise. Secondly, I can link you to where affordable snails are available if based in coventry.

You are on point. I was paying £985 on my provisional license, immediately I passed and informed my insurance company, they added extra £900 making it £1895. I inquired why and was told I’m more at risk as a new driver cos I just passed, I then further asked who is more at risk between provisional and full license holder, their answer was that being a provisional license holder mean an experienced full license holder with at least 3 years of experience must be with you in a L labeled car when driving so you were not much at risk BUT now that you’ve passed your driving test, you would want to be driving alone hence the price… I just cancelled that their nonsense, used confused.com and got a deal of £1200…

You have to present the underlying [Nigerian?] driving licence.
An international driving licence is not a standalone, it's based on a national licence.
And you should be within the one year period following your arrival in the UK as a resident during which you can use your national licence to drive in the UK.

It's not even supposed to be paid for so I wonder why people are paying through their noses for it to the point of 5M or even 12M.

I’m on Tier 2 visa. I never mentioned Tier 4 Visa. Some smart lady said I should wait some more till I have enough 20hrs slip. That’s smart . Thank you
