I have a question here please.

A recently graduated student in youkay got a care COS in England but has not used it to apply for visa. He also got another health care job in Scotland but the coy in scotland is not able to generate a new COS for him because they said it is showing on the system that he has a COS. This person preferred Scotland to England. Please advise on what he needs to do.

Note. I have not seen a case like this before, what I always know is someone switching from an existing COS to an undefined COS
Some companies can lie sha 😂😂😂 This is 1000% false

the first company has to cancel their COS.
One can have multiple CoS, the other company doesn't need to cancel.

No too think am, like I said. The carpets, for instance, I have the option to pay it over 3 years, interest-free, Zero deposit... Many of the other fees were not paid at once, they happen over a few months typically. Even I can't believe I spent this much but it just happened a day at a time.
👍👍👍

Not hidden but little costs here and there that could add up. The only major one really is the Solicitor's fee which is like £1.5k to £3k. With a New build, you have to furnish, etc depending on what the Builders are willing to do or not do. With an Old build, you might have to fix a few things.

If you're like me, I would say "no think am, just put head". If I realised I would be spending so much, I would have waited for another 1 year to save up but it was better I didn't know cos I have spent so much but just one day at a time.

I have put down below some of the extra costs for me and I didn't include things like Sofa, Transport for the various times I had to go to the site; and numerous purchases to furnish the new house. Most of these may not apply if it's a house that's already furnished. The Upgrades are things like fridge, spotlights, extra taps and lights, turf in the garden, etc.
Chai 11k plus. And this one no follow inside deposit ooo

What about HCA’s and support workers in the NHS, Can they bring in dependants?

Cos it’s seeming like it’s only NHS nurses and doctors that are being focused on.

Only British citizens or those on ILR can apply for spouse/family visa, if they have an income of 38k+

Family visa is different from dependent visa.

The dependants of those who came in with 3yrs care visa would be stranded once their visa ends after 3yrs

I believe people should avoid UK for now.

Wether care visa or student Visa...many won't find it easy.
Una don start 🤦‍♂️

Thanks for your feedback but just to let you know that I already have a start date as I now have my unconditional offer. I even had my starting salary reviewed upwards and the letter reissued. The only issue is the fact that CoS is not mentioned anywhere on it and this I am going to address before I resign my current job. Meanwhile, I discussed about my need for CoS during my interview and there was no pushback so that also contributed to my assumption.
👍👍👍

Good day house, I was on a skilled worker visa but have been dismissed by my former employer, the company is asking me to pay 10,000£ for the COS, because I didn’t work 5 years with them, and they want to serve me court paper, please anyone know the kind of lawyer or knows a lawyer I can get in uk, I live in Swansea (wales) because they did not use up to 3000£ to get my COS, please I need any good lawyer in uk

Thanks
Na this kind case UNION dey like, but I doubt if you belong to any union. I will advise you to join one even if you have a new employment. You never can tell when they will come in handy.

Try and contact ACAS and explain your case to them, they might have an advice for you.

Hello guys, please I urgently need your advice on this:

I am a cybersecurity specialist, currently working in a cybersecurity company here in the uk for about 8 months now. I just landed an offer with an NHS trust for a cybersecurity role band 7. I was surprised not to see anything regarding sponsorship on my offer letter. I tried reaching out to the HR guy in charge of my recruitment to seek confirmation regarding the sponsorship but he won’t respond to my emails. However, I sought a few guys’ opinions and I was told NHS always gives sponsorship for tech roles and that it’s almost cast in stone.

My current employer is actually willing to sponsor me towards my visa expiry which is in 6 months, but it’s just that I prefer the NHS role as it’s more senior and strategic.

I need to tender my resignation in 24 hrs to fulfill my 1 month notice period. I don’t know if I should maintain the assumption that the NHS trust will sponsor me or I should just stay put where I am sure of CoS.
I remember when I got my current job with the NHS, despite the fact that they confirmed that they will sponsor me, they said I SHOULD NOT RESIGN until I have a start date.

Not only you do not have a start date, you don’t even have a confirmation that they will sponsor you.

One really has to commend the doggedness of the ancestors here, those 2009 set etc who did care jobs, security jobs, sausage in the cold etc even without promise of sponsorship. That's real hustling with faith. 👍

There is dignity in labor and I love this country because you are respected in any profession, real respect I mean and your pay is a living wage, a wage that can make you drive good cars and even plan for the future. Just see how much mechanics charge?! DIY is so important in UK except u want to spend so much on little things.

I currently work at Amazon, my wife is on sponsorship and works in care. But I am also planning to go into support/NHS, apart from another sponsorship route, I am genuinely beginning to see pathway to the top in health and social care. These oyinbos don't read much and they are quite comfortable staying on a spot, with our level of zeal and energy we can get qualifications faster and move up the ladder. A guy I know finished NVQ 3 in just about 2 months while his colleagues use 6 months on average...

In all of this, I'm still writing my Universally acclaimed accounting certification exams... For me, this is a path I am exploring and so help me God.
These timelines can’t be correct

Please check with the Home Office and update us with their response.

My trust engages the service of NHSP, and they generate Payslip differently.

Whatever their answer might be, kindly update us.

🙌🏻
Here you go; This is the message from home office.

I would consider your Trust engaging the services of NHSP to run its bank as a supplementary employment.

I see NHSP as a second employer, I might be wrong tho.

My Trust run its bank and my HR has confirmed this.

Thank you so much Sis. Okay, I am yet to write the OSCE, but I am booked for month ending already. Also, I am not a mental health nurse, I wish I was. I am an adult nurse with RN and BSc.

Do you think I should leave these 2 offers and wait for a better one. I have an offer from Brighton too.
Keep on applying, you will definitely get a Trust that offers relocation package.

I also have a question on this, what's a standard week referenced by the HO is it Sun-Sat or Mon-Sun, because I usually wonder if overtime hours are calculated as an average over a number of weeks.

Like if taking overtime on sat and sun for instance -24hrs overtime counts as 1week. It's just not very clear
I honestly don’t have an idea, maybe others can give an insight.

In that case, please clarify with whoever provides the bank shifts. I do overtime and it all comes on 1 payslip. I just realised our system may be different from yours.
So I reached out to my HR and this is the reply, however I have been advised that I double check with the home office and I will do that.

I also know for a fact that my trust provides our bank shifts. I know some Trusts uses agency like NHSP etc to run their bank but ours is not the case.

Thanks for your input once again.

If you are being taxed on a different tax code (BR), I will assume you cannot exceed more than 20hours because it will be counted as your second job….

I suppose your bank shift is with another company under the same trust.
Thanks for the info.

I’m yet to pick bank shifts so I’m not sure about the tax code.

I know that bank shifts come with a separate payslip. The bank shifts in my trust is provided directly by the trust and not with another company.

Regarding working additional hours on health & care visa, can one exceed the 20 hours weekly restriction when working bank shifts.

The bank shift is with the same NHS Trust who is also the employer.
