I want to ask sth. We all know employers and agents share this sponsorship money on percentage, nothing is free.

But if yawa gas from home office, can the employer be exonerated since they didn’t collect money directly from the employee. Or employer go follow chop inside the yawa

Just asking

COS is free from the employer.....this is the policy from tge UK home office.....

However, how much agents charge u to help connect u to an employer is totally up to u and how u allow urself to be exploited....it can be 10k£ it can be 15k£... it can even be 100k£ ..

U lose guard ...u lose...

Thank you for responding. The thing is this wasn’t an online thing. This was done through a nursing agency with a physical office. We have been to their physical office. He looked my brother and wife in the face, collected full money for application and lied he did the dbs application whereas he didn’t. They have spent the last two months chasing for the certificate for an application that was never made.

They have called severally requesting for reference number to track and hr still couldn’t say he did not make this application.

I really need to know how to treat such fraud cos this person is not some anonymous online business
Go back to the office, look at him right in the face and get the reference number. After which you can track and have proof of whether he has applied or not. I’m sure you will know what to do next.

Without that reference number, I’m not sure you can really do anything because he can still give you false stories even though you have called dbs.

But wait, shebi na the company suppose pay for dbs Or am I missing sth?

We need to start talking about how people now come into the UK and the care homes don't give them the working hours agreed on on their COS. I have a friend who's been in uk for over one month and hasn't gotten a single minute of working hour in his care home, they keep telling him to hold on.

He got his job through an agent tho, as at now I'm starting to feel some of these care homes already have enough workers but they just sell slots through an agent to you at a very high price to make their money and not working for the agreed hours on your COS will affect you when you're about to renew your visa or apply for ILR cause the home office will see clearly that you've not been paying your tax regularly.
This is now very common. The sad part of this whole thing is that if a company’s license gets revoked, it affects its employees.

Home office will not pity you that paid 5million or 10million to get CoS. Home office will not say that it’s your company that did not give you job to complete your hours. Once your salary falls below the required, there will be problem.

My advice to anyone in this situation is to start looking for another company that can sponsor. There is what is called Home Office Sponsor Compliance Visits. These people know what to look out for. I pray none of us gets caught up in between these greedy employers mess.

Lastly, I think most of us are too focused on care homes and all these small small companies that just got sponsorship license and leaving out the big picture.

Guys look into NHS, don’t limit yourself. Band 3 HCA role is eligible for sponsorship…. Browse the nhs job website, filter out band 3 roles or higher if eligible and start submitting applications. Forget about whether they include that sponsorship is offered for the role or not, just keep applying.

It’s not an easy task, but you will come back and testify in 3-4 months from now.

This is correct.

I've heard of someone that paid 10M for sponsorship, no shifts yet. Sometimes they get shift once a week. The agency have advised them to takeup jobs elsewhere if they see. The ones that came with their families are crying.

These agencies are making more money from CoS than from their customers. And they bring in people from different countries.

Just failed practical driving test… I failed due to staying on the middle lane instead of last lane for a 3rd exit roundabout and going forward with the journey and the woman examiner doesn’t even smile a bit throughout the 45 minutes journey…

We go again, no wahala…

Sorry bros. Always keep an eye on road markings esp when approaching those yeye roundabouts.

NHS people, how long did it take from getting a conditional offer to start date?

Is it okay to email or phone HR for an update?

Annual renewal. I didn't just automatically renew...gave them a call to update some info for the new year and then negotiated the price of over 800 they quoted me to just over 600. I still asked for more (as Olivia Twist 😀) but they were now asking if I had a better deal so they could match, I didn't (lowest quote I got was almost double £1400) so I took what was on the table.
I think having a history with them helped.
These insurance companies are funny ooo. Admiral gave me a higher quote for renewal despite having no claims for a year , I called and said that I wanted to leave, the agent reduced my premium by £250. I still left tho cos I got a better offer with marshmallow 😁

Please apply to nhs jobs. Some give sponsorship. I'm a living example. I got my sponsorship within 1 week after successfulinterview.
Which band did you get the sponsorship for? And is it HCA role?

My oga’s in the house, I need help on how to go about referencing. I want to change my job and I don’t want my current employer to have a clue about it until I give him my 4weeks termination notice. More like I want to get the job first before saying I want to leave.

I have previously worked with 2 other companies that can give me reference but my potential new employer wants a reference from current employer.

How can I go about it? Please I need all ideas I can get from you all. Thanks

My former employer does not even have a clue whether I have a new job or whether I am still in the UK or not. Na only you and your new employer know your current status.
Thanks boss.

You can ask here
Thanks for your response. I just read your previous posts.

I have found a company that is ready to sponsor me, can I get the sponsorship and apply for visa without my current employer having a knowledge of it. Or would the home office notify my current employer when I’m being assigned a new CoS.

Notice of termination for my present job is 4 weeks which I intend to give when I apply for a new visa or when my visa is out.

Can I send you a PM?

Nothing happened! I just don’t like the house to house driving thingy.

I feel like I am not getting the most out of my time as time is money in this country.

I am not having issues with the care work itself, I just don’t like the domiciliary part of it and would love to change employer.

I hope I answered your question.
