TheGoodJoe: The knowledge makes the player better. That is why we have players like De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva, David Silva, Firmino, Lewandowski, Kimmich, Lahm etc. Tactical superior players gain more from their talent than deficient ones. Training and playing under coaches of these manner bring the best out of players. But these guys your mentioned didn't learn by sitting on the bench. in fact, at a point when De bruyne was having less game time at Chelsea, he had to go back to Germany to re invent himself, before Man city brought him back to England. No matter how you paint it, sitting on the bench is detrimental to his so called learning . As a player, your learning is most effective on the pitch, playing week in week out. Or is Nacho learning to become a coach? Oga stop dropping Lame excuses everywhere |

TheGoodJoe: After CR7 won the World Best player and one of the highest goal scorers in Europe while at Manchester United, Ferguson changed the shape of the team the next season. CR7 went from a forward the scored 31 goals in the EPL to end at 18 goals the next season. It is a misnomer to think playing style do not drastically affect players. Oga stop yarning dust. |

so who should play the AM then definitely not Pogba(he can't press and not fast enough) Gomes (don't know if he can press) Mata (God forbid ) I was expecting us to do buy a midfielder in the summer. But since that's not possible again, we will have to manage him like that. Our solution is obviously to buy |

Itsmedozie: I just rewatched that wolves match just to observe Lingard that guy is freaking mobile he was everywhere on the pitch his pressing is mad
he just doesn't have the quality going forward
I think ole likes he because of his ability to press
no body presses like Lingard in that team currently You are definitely right about this. Even since when he was younger, most coaches like him for this. Heck a lot of coaches like players with insane work rate. So his work rate is what is still keeping him in the team. So most of the coaches that has been in Man utd, post Ferguson retirement always find him useful and will want to play him , hoping that he will improve his other abilities over time. But the guy is just hopeless and can't be helped , unfortunately. I think it's high time Man utd let him go, as be will never be a man utd quality. People were hoping that he would even be half as decent as Nani, but the guy no improve. |

safarigirl: In all of this, you admit she will not be World Best. Top 10? We shall see.
I dunno about doing things alone and team sports, but even in a crappy team, an exceptional player shines. The GoalKeeper, Oluehi, was exceptional in that team and she shone, so, there is no need to exonerate Oshoala. She didn't shine in the World Cup, and that's fine. How is my statement an admission of her not attaining the status of being the best? Read it again slowly. Now to the world cup shining issue. It is easier for a goalkeeper and defender to shine in matches that a team is always on the back foot defending from kickoff to final whistle. How can she get to shine as an attacker when she herself is also with the defence, defending like their life depends on it. Let common sense prevail please. Instead of people lampooning her as if she's one super human that is suddenly going to make the team play well, why not direct it to the coach that choose to transform the super Falcons from a team that plays exciting and good football to a team that suddenly could not string 5 passes together without giving the ball away. Even our local coaches over the years don't play such shitty type of football |

safarigirl: These are the kind of wild and unrealistic expectations you need to drop.
World best that was incognito during the just concluded Women's World Cup? Even Likes and Comments on FIFA's Page will not get her such an award It's not unrealistic though. Even if she doesn't win it, she might get Top 10 at least, with the way she's going. For your information. She wasn't poor, the whole team was poor. That Dennerby coach get question mark on his head. We've been playing bad football since he became the Falcons coach. It wasn't even this bad under the local coaches. you don't expect her to do things alone. This is football and not a one man game like Tennis |

forgiveness: If those goalkeepers were Nigerians, they would have become history by now because of their age.
if Enyeama gets game time, do you want him in the team? No they won't sir. They are still playing at the highest level of club football, unlike our own old men. Enyeama retired from the national team, if not, we won't even know about Uzoho by now, and he would still be manning the goal post for us. so what's your point. Let Enyeama come back from retirement, and see if he won't get a call up. |

Taliban: Is dele Aiyenugba also in the Israeli league? If both Ejide and Aiyenugba are still playing active football with the keeper crisis we have I don't see why we can't give them invites and if they are past it, drop them finish. Edwin Van Der Saar came out of retirement and was still top class. Peter Shilton retired in his 40s, David seaman was around for a long time, we all still see Buffon so we shouldn't discriminate on those two based on their age. If they still have ir, could even be a good opportunity for the upcoming to learn from them in person. Stop comparing Aiyenugba and Èjìdé with those world class goalies. They were never at one point in their careers half as good as those world class guys |

Losing almost 18 free throws out of 30-31 is so bad. In finals, you mostly play to win. Sometimes you just do it anyhow till you get the result. coupled with the fact that they were playing against a very partisan host supporters. The coach is taking notes Sha And he will work on it in subsequent tourneys, going forward |

jstbeinhonest: Trash, they brought up 5 or 6 incidents on selected games, Did you see their generated table? Read the article.
There is no way Liverpool would have had more points than they gained last season with VAR. If VAR was available City would have won against Wolves, Pool would have ;lost to Spurs and beaten Arsenal.
There were many incidents last year for both sides, but Liverpool sure were luckier.
Im all for VAR, but that report was ridiculous and Im suprised you believed it. I read it last week and knew it was trash. It was probably written by a Pro-Liverpool Journalist if Liverpool fan. Anything to justify the fact that they bottled the league, just like during the Gerrard era |
