Stop referring to Pep's first season in City. What's the use of playing possession football without anything to show for it? After going trophiless in the first season, he should have sticked with the same players or go to academy for 'upgrades' if money is not the catalyst.

He won what other coaches won in Bayern locally. So we cant say that his possession football improved Bayern trophywise.

Now answer to your question is that man city under pep Guardiola still played possession football in that first season. Every one knows the season ended that way because they were not clinical enough and not that they didn't play possession based football. You can use our match against them when we won 1-3 incase your still in doubt .

So why didn't he dig deep in Man City academy to get the players that will improve his possession based football after the first season since he used mostly academy products to dominate in Barcelona?
