Jodera: Obviously as at 2013 it's supposed to be Ribery. The extended votes and immediate recency bias and uproar Ronaldo's hat trick against us Sweden tilted the favor I'm not going into that detail with you, sorry. What I responded to is your analogy. I want to marry it with the discussion you were having. You claim Ronaldo was leading the vote and more time was extended. And then you gave the football match example of extra time. Who will the extra 20min favor? The team leading (Ronaldo) or the team behind (others)? |

Jodera: Except you made a mistake at the bolded because this has been my point from onset. Additional time favors the team behind not the team leading This was your post I first quoted... Jodera: This is just like a match in which 20min was added after 90min when Team A is winning Team B 2-1.
Logically We all know who the 20min ojoro extra time will favor Who will that 20min favor in the context of Ronaldo leading the vote and time was extended? |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by timbros(m): 12:11pm On Jun 12, 2024 |
Jodera: Actually, most teams slightly leading are usually the ones on the ropes when added time is given especially if both team A and team B are of similar standards Incorrect. When both teams are similar, they team behind will be pressing for equaliser while the team ahead will be looking to protect their lead. That's why in such scenarios, the leading team always makes a defensive sub while the team behind makes attacking sub. Unless the leading team is the superior team. They will still be playing their normal game, and the additional minutes may be in their favor. In most cases, additional time favors the team behind. It will give them more time to press for equaliser. |

swiz123: His love for the player is no more than his gidigbo style of play, not any left foot whatever. Same reason he loves Lukaku.
I will evaluate him properly when I watch him for 90 minutes. Same here at bolded. I just have the gut feeling that the boy will succeed here. Palmer transfer wasn't popular here, but see how it turned out..... And the board have been after Duran for long now. They have a reason for that. Let's just hope for the sake of the club we support that he comes out good. But make airmark prepare cuz ANY striker that comes here, bench Jackson and fail to surpass his first season numbers, him go hear from me. |

Oasis007: Ibime.....since you will be incharge fully next season, pls let's make it interesting and competitive. We do not need large number of dormant players, rather few number of active participants.
Out of 500+ that registered for the league, how many are active on this board?! You see some names and you wonder where they crawl out from.
Like someone suggests, we can structure next season into perhaps 2 League Formats. NL Elite League for known active participants and NL General League for the rest.
Allow every player in the NL Elite League to participate in the FA Cup as well. At end of season, bottom 4 or more, depends on the number of players should be relegated to NL General League and Vice versa [promote top 4 or more to from General League to Elite League].
My 2 Dirhams.
Cc Raum.deuter Afrod.oc2 Sod.09 Tim.bros Obai.nojazz Pam.code Ema.prince Griffon ..and others. I support this completely. If there is relegation/promotion, it will make the league competitive more. But will FA Cup follow the same structure of relegation to Carling Cup too? |

I compared Manolas and Rudiger at Roma and one clinched a legendary status, while the other didn't do sh1t. Huge difference. So their career ended in Roma? Roma "legend" vs 2x UCL winner... Tell me which you wish for your favorite player? |

WhoDeyHause: Egbon nothing concerns me with his Madrid days. My summary on rudiger was primarily his first years at Chelsea which comprises of playing under conte, sarri and later lampard where he was quite inconsistent and error prone. I wasn't even on this thread then. Anything other than that my hand no dey for there. Rudiger was decent during his Chelsea years. Inconsistent? Yes. But he was never a flop signing for Chelsea. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by timbros(m): 6:57am On Jun 05, 2024 |
airmark: Real Madrid have been winning Ucl before Rudiger came and even in this last one, he was outperformed by 8 Madrid players, in the final. He was carried in that final to clinch the cup.
Meanwhile, Roma never entered Ucl semifinal before Manolas joined and he kept a clean sheet and even scored the decider, against a Messi-led Barcelona, to push them to their first ever Semifinal berth. After Manolas left, they are yet to repeat such feat.
Stop jumping on posts without wearing your thinking cap. It exposes your tomfoolery. @bolded.... How many goals did Rudiger concede in the two finals he won? You are a real clown. When you show me image of Manolas lifting ANY trophy in Roma, then we can have a discussion. Semi final is now a bigger achievement than winning the trophy in itself. |

airmark: Rudiger and Manolas both played for Roma, we know who pushed them to Ucl semifinal for the first time in their history and who got them flogged out in group stage.
Manolas is a Roma legend, Rudiger has been forgotten. Just look at what agenda is doing to you. Are you sure you are typing with your clear eyes and brain Airmark? So one player is a club legend for taking his team to UCL semi final but the other is trash for actually winning UCL twice with 2 different teams? I can't believe that you will still shamelessly type anything that has to do with Manolas and Rudiger again. Both you and the Roma board who pushed Rudiger away believing he is the inferior player should bury your faces in shame for this major goof. While we post Rudiger image lifting UCL, the best image you can post of Manolas is a goal against Barcelona..... Smh..... Who do you this thing Airmark? |

WhoDeyHause: Slump in form for how many years? Egbon leave agenda fess several Chelsea fans have been giving instances where rudiger fvcked up, either in premier league, fa cup, champions league for us under three different managers to show his inconsistencies till he finally became a beast under tuchel's system, screenshots from past seasons when fans called him kpon kpon or corporate shoe. Does that mean all of them have a agenda against Rudi? Or you watched Chelsea games more than those fans then? Maguire in Man United is much aligned that even if he has a good game, it will never be acknowledged. Na herd mentality dey worry most of us here. Once a popular moniker here is against a particular player, you will see droves of monikers throw away their own football brain and follow what that popular moniker says. Herd mentality. Thiago Silva is generally respected here. Does it mean he doesn't have a compilation of dip in form, under different managers? Infact name your best defender in football history and I will show you screenshot of his mistakes. Rudiger makes mistake like every other footballer, but the difference is that people here watch him to scrutinise his game and look for a slightest opportunity to type "corporate shoe". Abi you no dey here when Airmark and Co continued criticising him in his early Madrid days? |
