WhoDeyHause: Jackson is my club's striker let other club fans go and hold their own club striker's especially when they mess up in potential title deciding matches. Yes with fofana, James, Colwill and to an extent Silva more fit I believe we'll have a better defence than what we currently witness. Is it the Colwill we watched earlier in the season or another Colwill? James is not CB by trade. |

Did they register Shevy for Epl 2009/2010 season. Yes or No?
You are beyond repair. Did he play a role in our win that season that warrant you to name him among Chelsea CFs? Was he registered for UCL that season if he is that important? How did Chelsea prepare him for the season? By playing him for 4 minutes and shipping him out? You have pride issues. |

I never said he is a late bloomer biko. Before that will become the talk here now. I'm just giving example that you don't expect everybody to develop and start cooking at exactly the same time. WhoDeyHause: Even without nkunku, Carney, madueke James and chilwell we still created numerous chances that were begging to be put away. For Jackson to even be in double digits despite the chances he missed bear facts. But when you have Silva, your captain and best rb who's also one of your best defenders and fofana out before season starts making you to play tower of babel twins abi how ibimee dey call them. Remember gbanchez was also costing us with his selling match abilities at a point too before Petrovic came in and cast him to the bench. Our defense was still decent last season even in 10th compared to the attack which we complained about since last year before these past few weeks. Again, Jackson is not the only striker who miss chances. Are you telling me that it's Fofana James and Colwill that will help you keep clean sheets that will improve the defence? If our defence was decent last season, what is the situation this season? |

Chelsea is not a team to be experimenting. We need results. If you don't know the difference between those names you listed and Jackson, I don't know what else to tell you. How much did we sign James? Gallagher? Colwill? |

WhoDeyHause: That's why age is not an excuse in this problem. Who don good don good. A starting striker for the biggest club in London cannot be missing 1v1s frequently or be missing in the biggest of games. If we were in the champions league and we struggle to enter final then Jackson starts misbehaving like in the domestic cups how many fans would still plead patience with him? No matter how good you are in link up football, pace, dribbling, positioning, movement once fans start questioning your finishing as a striker you know something is wrong. I'm sure you know what "late bloomer" means.. Not everyone start cooking at the same age. Zidane is a typical example of late bloomer. |

airmark: Chai, you are beyond repair.
Because of your busybody, you didn't understand the point I was driving at, before jumping into what didn't concern you.
Chelsea of those years, prepared 4 CFs for the season, so they wouldn't get caught napping with injuries during the season. Why can't we do such when Man City, have 2 solid CFs and over the years they have been the team to beat.
Must one spoon-feed you before you could understand simple stuff? And I am here proving it to you that it's a lie. A big fat one. Three strikers, yes. And the third one is always either an academy player promoted or a young striker. E.g Sturridge in that 2009/10 squad or Solanke in the 2016/17 squad. Every big team have basically 2 CFs plus a young striker or academy graduate. What do you need four CFs for? Drogba and Anelka played majorly, same with Costa and Batsman.... Shevchenko became surplus to requirement. Chelsea never prepared him for the season. He was let go. Ditto Loic Remy. At no time did Chelsea prepare 4 CFs for the season. To do what exactly? |

Mind you, defense needs to be strengthened because of how Poch set up his team.
Those defenders might be good under another coach. And the attackers too. I don't know who are the personnels in our medical team, but they need to be reshuffled badly. Our injury record is nothing to write home about. And the rate these injured guys relapse is a big cause of concern. These are some of the things that can improve a team. Not only buy buy buy buy. |

forgiveness: One of the major reason.
We should be Champions of Caraba cup by now if he didn't miss. And in FA cup finals if he had scored.
Won Arsenal and Mancity if he didn't miss. Could be argued too that Chelsea would have won Carabao Cup if the defence was more tight. VVD scored from a set piece, VAR came to our rescue. Same VVD scored from set-piece again deep into extra time. Which kind of defence is that? |

airmark: FA and Chelsea registered Shevy in our squad of 2009/2010. Face the point raised and rest. Since he was registered, where is his winners medal? Can you show us a picture of him celebrating with the team, lifting the trophy? Your problem is not accepting your goof. Season started but transfer window is not closed yet. Shevchenko managed to make bench in second game of the season, a match Chelsea won Sunderland 3-1. In the 86th minute, Sheva was brought in. So he basically played 4 minutes in that match. Few days later, he departed to Dynamo Kyiv. Because of agenda, airmark felt Shevchenko should be named as one of strikers Chelsea used to win EPL in 2009/10. Continue. Even the Sturridge you added there scored just a solitary league goal that season. Our main attackers that season was Drogba, Anelka, Kalou and Malouda. |

forgiveness: Oga, Jackson try but because of him we are where we are now on the league if you consider the crucial missed chances.
Chelsea needs to add 1 or 2 strikers to compete against big teams. Stop yarning dust. If Chelsea defence did not concede a record number of goals in a season, we won't be where we are today. Do you know how many points we dropped from winning positions? Arsenal just kept their 11th clean sheet of the season. Do you think they will be where they are today if they were conceding needless goals here and there even when their strikers are scoring goals? Jackson needs to improve, yes. But is he the reason we are where we are today? Capital NO! |

airmark: Unlimited opined that no need for more than 1 CF to contest for the league and I pointed out two seasons we won the Epl and we got even more than 2 natural CFs in the team.
As usual, you just jumped from nowhere to a convo you weren't abreast of. Who do you this thing?
Below are also our strikers when we won the league in 2014/2015 season. Rest your busy body. Stop doing this to yourself man! Is it old age or what? airmark: So we should buy a new LB that will bench an English Vice captain of the team, right?
If Chilwell is not leaving, then no need buying another LB that will struggle to bench our English Vice captain, especially when Cucurella is looking manageable.
Chelsea's 2009/2010 Epl winning squad had Drogba, Shevy, Anelka and Sturrudge as our CFs.
Chelsea's 2016/2017 Epl winning squad had Diego Costa, Loic Remy, Batshuayi and Solanke as CFs.
The standard has really dropped for you to be thinking having 2 solid CFs, is too much of a call.
It's high time you stopped seeing Chelsea as Aston Villa. In fact Jackson is not even near Watkins in finishing. |

I should be asking who inflicted you with the marine spirit of diving anyhow into my post. You are mentioning strikers Chelsea have in 2009/10 season when we won EPL and you no shame to mention Shevchenko. A player that made an 86 minute substitute appearance in Chelsea's second match of the season before being sold off to Dynamo Kviv. If he played for us, why didn't he get a winners medal? How about Loic Remy? Make you dey shame small for informations wey you dey ditch here. We are not kids. In 2020/21 our top scorer was Jorginho but we won the Champions League and got to FA Cup final With Werner and Havertz leading attack and such shining lights as Odoi and Ziyech as subs.

airmark: That's where you are getting it wrong.
Spurs is not my target but City and they have 91 goals scored and on their way to winning the league for the 4th time.
In the last 3 seasons now, City scored 90+ goals, that's what we should try to match next season to win the league and not celebrating 71 goals like Aston Villa, while we continue with low level striker.
Buy Silva's replacement and get better finishers hungry for success upfront. It's interesting you want to emulate Man City's goals scored in the last 3 seasons, but ignored the fact that they conceded less than Chelsea in that time period This season (GW37) City concede 33 goals, Chelsea 61 Last seaseason City conceded 33 goals, Chelsea 47 Last 2 seasons City conceded 26 goals Chelsea 33 Last 3 seasons City conceded 32 goals Chelsea 36. Do you think you can win the league if you score 200 goals and concede 198 goals? Notice the number of goals City conceded last season and this season, they are similar - 33goals. But Chelsea went from 47 conceded last season to 61 this season. Meanwhile Chelsea jumped from 38 goals scored last season to 73 this season. Tell yourself the honest truth which department needs urgent attention. |
