Flesh and blood did not reveal this to you. I contacted him to see if he could recommend one or two skls that can fund my program(I applied this fall to several skls, but got admits without funding), surprisingly he requested 80k from me.

It was then I realized, though there are lots of people on this thread that are genuinely helping people--selflessly I must say-- but one or two people are here to make there presence known, so as to get there potential "customers". A sorts of business strategy.

My situation is kind of unique, and I'd appreciate any insight.

I was given an F1 VISA last spring for a masters in Finance at a 'not target' college. I have to admit, I wasn't aware of how competitive finance jobs were and how much focus was placed on target schools. I spent one semester in school, and decided to change school and course. It was too late for a transfer so I came back home.

Now, I have admission for a better school (UTDallas) for MS Accounting. Got the Dean's excellence scholarship and hoping to get the GA I applied for(which seems impossible at the moment).

My question is, do I need to apply for a new visa interview?

What is the procedure for a situation like mine?

Please share if you have any insight

Your F1 Visa is only valid if you're in school.
Once you drop out, it goes out of status.

So you Must go for another interview.

I wonder what school you're referring to 'non-target school' . What's the name of the school?

Anyway, that’s not the appropriate ranking to use for graduate school application. Based on what you said, the school I will be attending isn’t ranked among top 100 for general school rankings. However, it’s ranked top 100 in rankings by department. Also in the past, my department requirement for direct PhD was 3.70 but it is 3.50 now.

What do you mean by top schools?

For direct PhD from Bsc, most schools require 3.5 gpa. Check out University of Arkansas requirements, make sure you apply there if you meet up with everything. Also check out University of Tennessee Knoxville.
Also either industry engineering or industrial and systems engineering, it’s the same thing. Some schools use it interchangeably.

Me- I want to be a thought leader and an expert in the area of risk management in Nigeria. Also, application of knowledge is very important to me at this stage of career, the program is very practical, you get to learn skills such as R, python, matlab and also get to apply these knowledge by working on a capstone project. Also, the program has a small students to faculty ratio hence more access to faculty members and better learning opportunities. As you are aware the financial crisis originated from the US, learning from the school will give me a first hand learning experience of what leading practices standards issued after the crisis are trying to correct, for example Dr Chauva is very popular for teaching cases in financial crisis and credit risk analyses. when I come back, I would like to take a senior financial advisory role and work with the cbn, fmdq (financial market dealers quotation), sec (security exchange commission) in developing standards for our economy. The school also has one of the most brilliant minds in the Quantitative Finance space for example Dr Daniel Weagley who is an expert in teaching the relationship between financial markets and government agencies.

I was worried about my deficit and then saying it was my uncle (different surnames) paying. All the best guys, thank you for your support

Just a point of order...but it seems we are gradually derailing the thread.
A lot of professionals are now on the thread dishing out disparaging remarks to people that just got denied without any soft landing. Even to the point of saying you will be denied again. Let's get things right.

Rome wasn't built in a day. Going through transcripts from part 7 for my own interview..I read the compiled denied visas. And their opinions were a bit mild than what will have now. They gave reasons for denial...tips for the next interview and words of encouragement.
And to those beating on people to drop transcripts it will be done on their pace.
