I travelled from Abuja to London on September 22nd with British Airways. Nobody asked for Covid test.

I'm just confused. Is it the airline that demands for it or the airport authorities? Cos I just saw a document by FAAN saying that passengers traveling out of the country are advised to do a covid test. I'm trying to attach the document here but it's not working

Not true.
British Airways outbound travellers from Nigeria to UK do not require COVD-19 test.
For those travelling out of Nigeria, the COVID- 19 test requirement is dependent on the airline and destination country.

British Airways Abuja to London for Thursday 8th October is about 312k

No you don't need COVID-19 test for British Airways.
Flew British Airways from Abuja to London on Tuesday 22nd September. Nobody asked for COVID - 19 test.
Only asked if I have completed the passenger health locator form, to which I answered YES and showed them the print out at Abuja Airport. At the point of entry in UK, you will be asked for the same form, your quarantine location and how you plan to get to your quarantine location from the airport.

My dear, not an error.
My wife is the main applicant, our maintenance fees (myself, my wife and our daughter) were all in my wife's account.
I indicated that my wife and daughter depend on me for financial support even though their maintenance fees were not in my account.
Visa for all three granted.

I then put their details. My fear is, my dependants maintenance fees are in my wife's account. Hope it wasn't an error.

I just got to the UK this morning via BA(Lagos airport). Covid 19 test cert wasn't requested & it's not a requirement.

Someone commented on this earlier today, that he went to the airport to verify and confirmed that it wasn't necessary for British Airways Passengers but if you still feel you want to play it safe then go ahead to take a Covid test to remove all doubts.

Appreciation to all the contributors on this forum and particularly to @mimilyrics for reviewing our cover letter.

Please kindly note that the main applicant (my wife) indicated she is financially responsible for me and my daughter. Our application also indicated our residence in UK is the school, but the school does not have accommodation for families.
The school rep in Nigeria saw these as errors, helped draft a cover letter to address these errors, but advised we cancel the application and submit a fresh one stating that our chances of getting visa approval were slim due to the "errors".
We decided to proceed with the application and cover letter. We didn't cancel. We also shared the cover letter with @mimilyrics who helped review it.
Thank God it ended in praise and testimonies.

Praying for everyone still expecting a decision for favour and positive outcome

Please note I made a few errors in the application. School rep in Nigeria gave a sample cover letter to address the errors but advised we cancel the application and reapply. We thought the errors were not significant so we submitted along with the cover letter. Many thanks to @mimilyrics who also supported us by reviewing the cover letter.

Errors were, my wife who is the main applicant indicated that she is financially responsible for both dependants - husband and child. Secondly we indicated the our place of residence in the UK as the school.

No second interview or delay email.

Praying God's favour reaches out to all who are still waiting.

Pls how does this flexi work? How much was the fee? Is it different from the 42k each my dependants had to pay upon appointment booking?

There are several options while booking the appointment. Flexi is one option. I think it is 42k. It is advised for family applications so all applications for the family can be consolidated and done same day.
What I understand is, if one applicant (preferably the main applicant) has an appointment and other family members appointment dates aren't on same day, then those who do not have appointment will pay flexi to join the main applicant on his/her day. I don't know if this applies if you paid for flexi while booking, however I think if you paid for flexi while booking, you don't need to pay again.

I got August 26th for prime time. My wife got September 1 for self service at no cost. We decided to explore the possibility of using my daughter's slot on the 25th for all of us. Unfortunately, we were all in the premium lounge when we were told it is not possible since my daughter is not the main applicant. They said if we want all our applications to be consolidated, then we should all come on the main applicant's appointment day which is September 1, and they were quite tough and harsh. We left a bit dejected because we paid for flight to Abuja and were also paying hotel bills. Somehow the next day we decided to go and appeal to them again, and they were very nice, offered us a place and we all did the walk in. So in essence it is possible but fingers crossed. Its more like a gamble.

Please kindly note that that we paid flexi for all three applicants to have the applications consolidated and have the walk in session

On the form you were asked where you would be accommodated in the UK and that was where you have to enter an address of any location, temporary or permanent, where you intend to stay.

What we did was to rent temporary accommodation, then explained in the form that this was only temporary as making arrangements for permanent accommodation from outside the UK was not desirable (need to inspect, assess location, etc.) so we would do so post-arrival. We uploaded proof of the securing of the temporary accommodation on the TLS portal.

The question wasn't asked during the interview, but I don't think you need to have a permanent place to live in now.

Good evening. Please if a family opts to rent private accommodation, does the family need to secure the accommodation and show proof during the biometric capture/interview?
