phantom23: @Dele Momodu..Are you going to blame GEJ for this as well cos if you do, i'll call you a very very biased journalist and you will risk soiling your own reputation in the process. I've had the privilege of using MMA since the late 80's. And the last time i remember it being in its original state of glory was before 1994. MMA has been deteriorating after then. Tell me how many govts we've had in between? Even under OBJ's tenure, it was not better. At some point all the ACs and escalators weren't working (yes under OBJ)..remember?
I'm not excusing GEJ but the state of MMA is typical of Nigeria's way of managing infrastructure... poor maintenance. And yes Dele, this includes you and I and every other Nigerian.
In your pictures, i saw mops and ladders all around, i saw dirty toilets etc, Dele Momodu i ask you, is that the work of a president? Those things were left lying untidy by lagosians like you and I. What message did you send to them? What is the work of Nahco- What is the work of Nigeria Airport Authority-whatever they are called nowadays? Who are the contractors responsible for cleaning the airport? Do they have yearly allocation to take care of the airport? what are they doing with it? this is where you should focus on to help Nigerians understand who is fooling who. we are hoping for a Nigeria with freedom of press so that every Nigerian can see what the govt. and its establishments do with yearly allocations and budgets but you taking sides in all you biased write ups almost makes this laughable.
I've admired some of your write ups but please stop being biased. And just so you know, I don't support either GEJ (a clueless weak individual) or GMB (a do or die politician). They are both robbers and unfit to rule.
I wonder when Nigerian youths will wake up and realise that the more they follow these so called political godfathers e.g. OBJ, Tinubu, IBB, and who else..you name them... they will always get the same old same. Bunch of criminals rebranding their party names, installing stooges as Governors and Presidents while their personal wealth keeps multiplying. Nigerians like u like to delude yourselves. i f he doesn't report this to the presisent, who else should he have reported to? there are mops and bla bla bla...... when you gi to an eatery or restaurant, do u go to theur kitchen to wash plates or you call the attention of the owner who in turn calls his employees to do the needful? whats wrong in calling on the president to instruct an institution under his control to call the authorities within the airport to order? or is it not a federal airport again? |

worry359: It was said on a telivision program that the baggage handling eqipment was designed for NORMAL travellers around the world. Most people have luggage of less than 30kg but Nigerians must have HUGE bags of over 100kg. Then complain because conveyor breaks down. because people liked this comment you would ordinarily assume you made one bit of sense, frankly, you didn't. was it after the belts were built that nigeeians found their love for extra luggage? what then is the essence of planning and budgeting? why didnt they build it in accordance to nigeeian needs? or is the airport not meant for nigerians? |

Where was he when apc rejected all the other suitable people from the regions especially those from the south south who produces oil that feeds the country from the post of VC? What did he say about that greatest sidelining including himself as an Urhobo boy. its unfortunate that nigerian youths have been so used to cluelessness that they dont't see the nonesense this politicians are making out of them. i maybe wrong though but i think a campaign ought to be an avenue to let people know wat they stand to benefit from your leadership and how you intend to do so. instead my presidents campaign is all about his opponent. nigerian youths do we really think d next four years is about four years? the rot dat has climbed our political entity in d last four to six years would linger longer than the next four years yet we the youths come on social media to applaud or insult birds of the same feathers whose ambitions are to bring this country to a halt. i beg us, whoever campaigning we should demand for tangible issues like employment, ifrastructural developments, se urity, power, our oil, housing.... and not make phone number a national issue. afterall there are several youths under 35 who cant store phone numbers in their head. please o, our children will ask us tomorow why did we let this country. we need these candidates to tell us how they intend to make nigeria a better place. |

3. What is their modus operandi?
4. A breakdown of how Buhari stopped it if you may.
The latter is the most important. So far, nobody has convincingly supplied that answer. so far i dont think anyone haw come out to say it never happened. |

As much as i would want to dissociate myself from any political parties, most people wouldnt undastand d reasons behind this. As stated by earlier commenters, the sum is a lot to ask. Howwver i want to argue in favour of the government. After this stage, admitted students do not pay up to 30% of what is paid in the private schools. So? if we want to be fair, we will admit that the standard in lagos public schools has improved. not cecessarily in the structures but in the quality of teacher and more importantly the students. As stated by Fashola, he no longer wastes funds on students who aren't prepared for wassce. This policy has made for more seriousness in these schools as no student gets promoted without passing waec reqquired papers. in a nutshell, i think a parent who is willing to stake 10k on a pupil ought to have confidence in dat pupil and as such, we can be rest assured dat our public schools are not dumping placea but a sane environment where people who can compete with students in d private schools. #thinkingoutloud! |

Politics › Re: Jonathan: Mbaka Turned Opposition After Failed Bid To Secure Oil Blocks by Timoleon(m): 3:16pm On Jan 07, 2015 |
Moreinfo: The ongoing controversy sparked off by the call by Enugu-based Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka that the electorate should vote out President Goodluck Jonathan in the February 14, 2015 presidential election has taken a fresh twist.
Hitting back at Mbaka, National Coordinator, House-2-House Network, a pro-Jonathan group, Prince Chidi Ibe, alleged yesterday that the priest was angry over his inability to secure oil blocks in the Niger Delta region.
But a socio-political group in South-East, Ndigbo Unity Forum, defended Mbaka, while berating Anglican Bishop of Enugu, Rt. Rev Emmanuel Chukwuma, over his outburst.
Speaking in Abuja, Ibe said Mbaka, who, only a month ago, blessed the aspiration of President Jonathan to return to office in 2015, was now singing a new song because he was not happy with the government over his inability to secure oil block for commercial purpose.
He said: 'Ordinarily, I will not reply when a clergyman has his own views, but I can categorically tell you that Father Mbaka has travelled severally in quest of oil block in Nigeria. I know he has not succeeded and I know that he is not happy that he is not getting it. So, has he been promised oil block by Buhari to categorically stand at the Adoration Ground and said Goodluck is a bad luck to Nigeria.
'I will not sit down and have Nigerians believed that Father Mbaka said because God sent him to say it. If he has never in his life stepped out to look for oil block from government such as that of Goodluck Jonathan and people that surrounds Jonathan, I would say, yes, he probably heard from God that the good luck he mentioned to Nigerians a month ago has now become bad luck to all Nigerians.' Continue at http://chriseze..com The implication of all of these is simple. All those who are in Gej's ship are those who are benefiting from corruption by having oil blocks as personal assets, those who have been promised blocks or those who simply hope to fet one for their efforts in i mpiverishing this nation. Smh for my country. |
