nzeadachie: YES BUT IT'S SMALL SMALL, HAD IT BE THAT OBASANJO AND CO STARTED FROM SOMEWHERE WE WOULD HAVE PASSED PERU For the records though, the lagos-kano rail revamp n abuja-lagos plans were started by d obasanjo regime. Contract to rebuild Lagos to Kano railway line On 30 October 2006 President Olusegun Obasanjo signed a contract with China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation [4] to modernise the Lagos to Kano railway line. This is the first phase of the proposed 3 phase line upgrade. The project has been split up into 5 sections namely Lagos-Ibadan (181 km), Ibadan-Ilorin (200 km), Ilorin-Minna (270 km), Minna–Abuja–Kaduna (360 km), and Kaduna-Kano (305 km). Construction started, but the project was suspended in 2008 following a dispute. China helps with revolutionary "fast" rail Announced 22 March 2006. In terms of a Memorandum of Understanding signed by Nigeria’s Federal Government on 16 March, the Guangdong Xinguang International Group is to construct a revolutionary “fast” rail (RFR) system from Lagos to the capital Abuja (where there is no existing railway) as well as light rail lines to the Murtala Mohammed International Airport from Lagos city and to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport from the Abuja city centre. According to the minister of commerce, $US2billion has been made available to start the projects, and the Chinese company will also invest in the three planned stages of the projected Abuja light rail system. |

My curiousity was pricked again this morning when i read a comment on a thread about Olamide becoming a baby daddy. The commentator thought it was an irresponsible thing to do as they were not married. Personally i think Gods initial plan was for man to live like the animals and procreate just like they do. Genesis(creation of man) has no record of God instructing Adam to marry Eve yet he instructed them to multiply. I think the only reason other animals dont bother about good and evil is because they didnt eat from the forbidden tree and as such, continue to live in Gods original plan. My curiousity is thus: if marriage was not in the template of creation(God's original plan), is it really Compulsory? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Is It Sinful For A Christian To Be Using Chains And Earrings? by Timoleon(m): 7:28am On Feb 01, 2015 |
Vikkie14: Yeah. This is what is called "IMPORTED GOSPEL".
Only SLAVES(both in Bible days and during Slave trade) had their ears bore as a mark of OWNERSHIP. So, why the earring in the first place? What do you want to GAIN? Are you saying God is a BAD creator? If God want you to have a bored ear, he would had done that before your birth. Or are you the one that informed Him to inscribed the the lines on your palm?? So, WHY THESE? Wearing earrings as a christian is like offering Strange Fire on the Altar. It's deadly, it can kill.
Forget about denomination. A REAL CHRIST ian with "christ" inserted and not a X tian with an "X" would know Christianity is not about "bench and plastic chair warming", "going to church". The Apostles were first called CHRISTIAN in Antioch, why? Because people cant decipher between Christ their leader and the Disciples. So also, you can't profess to be a "christian" with traces of worldliness in you-- Be it earring, bumshot, legging, sphag(abi na Indomie), studd(as a male), mini/micro skirts, ISN'T THAT WHY THERE ARE MORE PROSTITUTES IN CHURCH THAN HOTELS?. We know a tree by the FRUITS it produces.
Must we borrow/import the "things" of the World into the church and then says it's "civilization" and "swagger ism"??. HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A MUSLIM WORE TROUSER or MINI/MICRO SKIRT(as a lady) TO MOSQUE BEFORE??. we need to reshuffle our Life. Some even argued that "My God is a God of Grace, he is merciful" but they failed to remembered that HE IS ALSO A CONSUMING FIRE. The God of GRACE(God's Riches At Christ Expense) could turn to God of GRACE(God's Resources Against Cruel Enemies) if you aint careful. The God that called us to be HOLY and PERFECT has already provided the ways for its achievement.
WORLDLINESS IS LIKE OFFERING STRANGE FIRE, IT CAN KILL!!!
This is what is "Imported Gospel" does. Welldone sir! why do you wear chlothes? did God create you with clothes? if God wanted you to wear clothes why didnt he create you with clothes? |

Politics › Re: Why I Will Vote for GEJ by Timoleon(m): 9:26am On Jan 27, 2015 |
EUROBOMBER: The main reason why I will vote for GEJ is to make a statement. 2015 is about making a point in this country and we must drive that point home even if the gates of hell are opened. The message we must drive into some thick skulls is that Nigeria belongs to all of us. No tribe is born-to-rule while others are born to siddon dey look.
There must be fairness, equity and justice in this country. Power MUST go round if we are truly one Nigeria. Why must a particular group of people continue to terrorize the rest of the nation when they are not in power?
When OBJ, a southerner was in power, they declared Sharia law and caused a series of very violent riots in the north which led to the death of many southerners and northern Christian.
As soon as Jonathan, another Southerner took over government, boko haram which was previously a rag tag group suddenly transforms into a mighty fighting force, blasting churches to pieces, killing innocent Nigerians and recently seizing towns and abducting our women.
The question is why is it that we cannot have peace when the people from Futa Jalon are not in power?
Buhari will NEVER rule Nigeria again. let me say this loud and clear, the best for Buhari is that he will end up as president of arewastan and maybe Odua republic but Buhari will NEVER rule Nigeria again.
Write down these words because I will repeat them next month by God's grace.

Aksonman: I'll vote GEJ because I have very high self-esteem and i do not hold him responsible for my personal problems...unlike Buhari fans.
GEJ is doing a great job. Crude oil prices slumped, Naira has been devalued for months now, yet inflation has not reached the roof unlike what's happening to Russia now. In Nigeria, the things you bought at N100 when Naira was N160 to $, still cost N100 (or even less) now that it's N200 to $.
Someone is managing our economy very well. i am sorry sir d dollar i bought wen dollar was 1- #160 i now buy for 205. dat has changed. someone missmanaged my economy. thank u. |

Politics › The Old Man Buhari Deserves A Chance.(opinion). by Timoleon(op): 8:57pm On Jan 23, 2015 |
Recently, a sitting Governor posted the pic below as a reason why General Muhammadu Buhari(rtd) should not be voted, citing his age as a disqualifying criteria. Looking at the ages of our past leaders though, the age difference between that of Gmb and others is quite large. This then becomes my point of divetgence. If throughout our political history, supposedly youthful persons have taken up the mantle of leadership and about sixty years later we find ourselves in this quagmire of irregular power supply(where it exists), low level of education(my president stil celebrates sending our people abroad to other schools), poor health facilities(neber ending strikes within the health sector by professionals who agree there should be more investments in nigerian imstitutions, overdependence on one source of revenue, general low standard of living( majority still live 8n less dan $2/day, insurmountable problem of insecurity(our sovereignty as a country has been breached as local governts have ceeded to insurgents), poor standard of living.....
Suffice to say, GMB was one of those naive youths who took over the mantle of power. he had good intentions(his speech after militsry takeover in '83), he made mistakes, hopefully he hss learnt. more young men took over after him, Babangida,( who can forget the SAPs, deregulations and high level corruptionnand drug traficking or the anullment of the June12 elections, Abacha? Obj? Now Jonathan?
Dont get me wrong, not that subsequent goveenments or even Buhari's government didnt add any value to the Nigerian entity, they did. More recently, Jonathan has the improvement in the rail system to his credit. However on the larger scale, all the youths( as at the time they became president of this nation failed Nigeria.
Muhammadu Buhari deserves a chanc, albeit a second chance. He has tried before, he wasn't perfect, he made his mistakes, he has learnt, he is wiser now, he is older now.
