Religion / Why Pastor Adeboye Does Not Want Tb Joshua by tinajohn: 1:15pm On Feb 13, 2020
I found this comment in one of the post on Youtube, examine this yourself. Please read below:

hahahahahhahhahahaahahahahaahahahah hahahahahahahahahahaha lol all I can say those people from that church hate, TB Joshua. I remember I went to this church here in Europe. I happen to be close to one of the sisters in the church and I opened up to her about me watching his videos etc (TB Joshua ). This my sister went to the church leaders and reported me but I didn't know that she reported me. One day we had a during the week service I was asked to stay behind I honestly didn't have a clue of what was happening. I stayed behind and I was asked to come in the room so they can pray for me see me happy that I will be prayed for, the prayer started along the prayer hahahaha i heard him saying " even that spirit of TB Joshua I deliver her " the prayer went on and on and on but immediately he said that about TB Joshua I open my eyes as I was kneeling surrounded by them laying their hand on my head I looked at them and I disconnected with whatever they were doing but I left them to finish after all that I went home . I was shocked and disappointed. and it dawned on me that no these people can not fool me I know they don't see the sister in the church was the one who spoke to them and they discussed it that that was how they will do it so I would think God showed them, unfortunately, I knew who I spoke to about this matter and she was part of those who were praying for me . And not only that but one of the ladies was also watching Emmanuel tv and she had their faith materials and she always had his anointing water with her she even showed me I was so happy thinking that the RCCG is cool with Scoan. I was wrong the things they said about him which really made me sad I never went back to the church again not because of TB Joshua but the kind of hateful things they said I couldn't take it.Because what they said about TB Joshua I didn't see them I only saw a loving caring Prophet and I never stopped watching him TB Joshua is a man of integrity that is why he is loved by the world but
if people don't like him then they should stop following him and follow those they like . We are free to chose who we want to follow and listen to.

Those who don't watch him miss a lot.

I still remember TB Joshua's word of exhortation to him last year:

"I want to leave you with a Word of wisdom: It is better to live poorly upon the fruit of God's goodness than to live to plentifully upon the product of our own sin. Listen to the voice of wisdom but also make use of your brain."

A word that all Nigerian politicians would do well to listen to!

Religion / Little Nigerian Girl Sees Vision Of Jesus Christ, Reveals His Shocking Message by tinajohn: 9:38am On Feb 10, 2020

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xfb1s0UxQBY

The video of a 12-year-old girl who reportedly had a ‘vision’ of Jesus Christ during a midweek service at TB Joshua’s popular church in Lagos has gone viral.

During a service known as the ‘Living Water Service’ at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) in which congregants come forward to receive water they believe to be anointed, immediately after receiving her water, a young girl suddenly cried out and gesticulated wildly.

“There is a Man there; He is tall! He is wearing a white garment,” exclaims the girl who later identified herself as Gift from Anambra State.

According to her, He said, “Repent; I am coming soon. Bring people to My church; bring more souls.”

Gift then narrated how she witnessed angels and 24 elders “bowing down and singing, ‘Holy, Holy is the Lamb’.”

Throughout this period, Gift’s eyes remained closed as she vividly expressed that “His face is shining” and “the light is too bright”.

Suddenly, the young girl crumpled to the floor and appeared to ‘awaken’ from the trance. Bemused at the attention surrounding her, Gift began crying as she recounted again what she had just witnessed.

“On His head was a big crown and He was sitting on a throne,” she recounted, adding that she saw smoke surrounding the Heavenly scene she witnessed.

The young girl was shocked that no-one else saw what she had seen so vividly.

“People are going on the wrong track; we should bring them back to the Church,” she emotionally pleaded, adding that she needed guidance from Pastor TB Joshua on why she would be the recipient of such a stunning revelation.

“There is no excuse for being surprised by the uncertainty of coming events,” Joshua stated on YouTube when posting the viral clip.

“The uncertainty of the hour of Christ’s return calls for vigilance and watchfulness. Let us not wait for another sign from Heaven to convince us of the paramount importance of making the most out of life today because only today is our own, tomorrow is not.”

The clip has been watched over 400,000 times since being published to YouTube and Facebook yesterday.

This is not the first time for someone to have had such a revelation as several months ago, a lady – who said she was a sceptic – also stated she had a vision of Jesus during a similar service at Joshua’s church.

Religion / The Danger In Collecting Offerings - TB Joshua by tinajohn: 9:05pm On Jan 18, 2020

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUX75Z_S8tE

I know many pastor's won't like this message...

- Though it is Scriptural but the question remains – whom are we asking support from? The distressed, the sick, the poor?
- When you are delivered, your ‘thanks’ is a blessing from God.
- When you are healed, your ‘thanks’ is a blessing from God.
- But when you are distressed, your ‘thanks’ is a distress.
- Because you are your thank you.
- I am my thank you. You are your thank you. Because you cannot live about your words.
- This is why most gifts today are a curse, not a blessing.
- Most offerings being collected in churches all over the world are a curse, not a blessing.
Religion / How TB Joshua Predicted Prince Harry’s ‘resignation’ From Uk Royal Family! by tinajohn: 10:04pm On Jan 08, 2020
On Wednesday 8th January 2019, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle made a shocking announcement, effectively ‘resigning’ from their duties within the British Royal Family.

However, merely days earlier, Nigerian Prophet TB Joshua of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) had warned of impending separation within the Royal Family in his much-publicised prophecy for 2020.

“Pray for unity and understanding among the Royal Family – because of what I am seeing,” the cleric stated in the word of prophecy written on December 28th 2019 which he said he 'received' after time in a 'prayer mountain'.

“We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent,” the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wrote on their official Instagram account, adding the decision came “after many months of reflection and internal discussions”.

The announcement from the famous duo exposed the widening rifts within the British monarchy, already exacerbated by the fallout over Prince Andrew’s alliance with the late convicted sex-offender Jeffrey Epstein.

“We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America,” the statement continued, stating this would provide them “with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity.”

Whilst releasing the prophecy publicly on Sunday 5th January 2019, Joshua explained that many of the events he had foreseen had begun to take place or would happen imminently.

In the same prophecy, TB Joshua warned of “an incident” in the nation of Iran “that will cause panic throughout the world”, confirmed days later when a US drone strike killed prominent Iranian General Qasem Soleimani.

The message regarding Iran followed a prophecy Joshua gave a decade earlier in which he warned of the repercussions of an “attack on Iran” by “super-powers”, going on his knees to pray for peace in the volatile region.

Concerning the United Kingdom, Joshua additionally warned in his 2020 prophecy of “agitation from a section that wants to leave” and also called for prayers “for the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh” regarding ill-health.

He equally cautioned about the “economic repercussions” stemming from Brexit, insisting it “needs more time to stand on its feet” with the co-operation of the European Union leadership.

Since its release, the video of the prophecy published on Emmanuel TV’s popular YouTube Channel – which included messages for Nigeria, Russia and USA – has racked up over 250,000 views.

Foreign Affairs / VIDEO: How TB Joshua Predicted President Trump's IMPEACHMENT! by tinajohn: 3:47pm On Dec 18, 2019

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROWCT-12FdM

On 6th November 2016, just days before the controversial American election won by President Donald Trump, Prophet TB Joshua spoke prophetically about the challenges the new US President would facing, including a ‘vote of no confidence’.

“I want to share with you what I saw ten days ago. I saw the new President of America,” he said. “The new President will be facing challenges over many issues – including passing bills and an attempt to possibly pass a vote of no confidence in future. In summary, I can see that the boat of the new President will be rocked.”

Today, President Trump is moments away from being only the third President in US history to be impeached...
Politics / Re: Did Tb Joshua Prophesy Trump’s Impeachment? by tinajohn: 12:40pm On Dec 14, 2019
Whatever you want to say about the legitimacy of TB Joshua, one cannot doubt that the things happening in his ministry are BEYOND human comprehension. Just go to YouTube, type 'Emmanuel TV' and watch some clips for yourself. Better still - if you think it's all 'arranged' - watch a live service on Sunday or visit The SCOAN and see for yourself...

Yes, TBJ said he saw a woman 'winning'. Let us not forget that Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by over 3,000,000 - the largest in American history for someone who finally did not end up as President. In the same prophecy, he said that there would be a 'vote of no confidence' in the new President. You can call it a 'generic statement' but remember this has only happened THREE times in the entire history of America. It is certainly unfolding with Trump now - although he will likely scale through with Republican support in the Senate.

I hear people harping that TBJ should rather 'prophesy' about Nigeria and Buhari - but he does not pick and choose what is revealed to him. For those who continue to talk about the 'controversial prophecy' and how it 'damaged his image' - I would say this: The foolishness of God is wiser than that of men and the weakness of God is stronger than that of men.

Despite the 'controversy' - Emmanuel TV is officially the most viewed Christian network worldwide (you can check the stats on YouTube yourself). 1,500,000 subscribers and 550 million views is no mean feat for a Christian organisation in an age of secularism and materialism.

Let's thank God for giving us a man like this in our generation...

God bless Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke and Prophet TB Joshua.

Underneath the video, I read this comment that really touched me:

"This touching tribute really speaks volumes of the heart that God has given to Prophet TB Joshua - a heart that does not hold personal grudges, pain of the past or unforgiveness. Many may not know but Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke was one of those who spoke against TB Joshua when the persecution against him from Nigerian Pastors was at its fiercest. It is on record that he was 'misled' by then CAN President Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor to publicly denounce TB Joshua on Oritsejafor's channel African Broadcasting Network (ABN) after Bonnke had initially granted an interview to Emmanuel TV (around 2007).

In addition, Charisma Magazine quotes Peter Vandenberg, the executive vice president of Christ for All Nations (CFAN) in an article from 2002: "T.B. Joshua is no longer the flavor of the month there," said Peter Vandenberg, executive vice president of Christ for All Nations (CFAN), the ministry of evangelist Reinhard Bonnke. Two years ago CFAN sponsored a huge outreach in Lagos that involved more than 2,000 local churches--and none of those churches endorsed Joshua, Vandenberg said. "Every one of them said that Joshua does things that are occultic and that what he is doing is not doctrinally correct," he added. Although Bonnke's organization has not condemned Joshua publicly, CFAN has adopted a firm stance and will not work with Joshua in Nigeria. Added Vandenberg: "We stand with the majority of Christians there who have denounced him. Our brothers in Nigeria are on the ground there, and they know best."

I personally believe that Bonnke just listened to what the 'majority' said without taking time to personally observe TB Joshua or seek the face of God concerning his ministry. I am sure he - like many others - have now come to the truth but found it difficult to publicly acknowledge given his past comments. I pray God would raise more men of God like Reinhard Bonnke to fearlessly preach the Good News - even if he was led astray by the 'majority' concerning God's Servant Prophet TB Joshua. I equally pray that we take a valuable lesson from TB Joshua as he penned this tribute - let us put aside our differences in the body of Christ and ensure we stand for unity. Truly, TB Joshua does not just preach about not harbouring grudges; it's a message he also practices!"

It calls for reflection. What will people say about you when you pass on?

Religion / RCCG Youth Pastor Sentenced To Death by tinajohn: 7:32pm On Nov 26, 2019
Just saw this sad, sad story...

A youth pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Akolade Arowolo, has been sentenced to die by hanging for the murder of his banker wife, Titilayo.

Pastor Arowolo could not hold back his pains after the court ruling, he burst into a fit of prayer. Titilayo worked with Skye bank, whilst her husband was employed. Prosecutors were able to present compelling evidence that led to the conviction of Mr Arowolo and his sentencing by Justice Lateefat Okunu of the Ikeja High Court, he was handed a death sentence. Justice Okunu held in her over three hours judgment that evidence before the court proved that Arowolo actually murdered his wife in their matrimonial home.

Testimony in the form of a forensic report from Prof. John Oladapo Obafunwa, a pathologist, was what the court used to determine that there was no way the deceased could have stabbed herself to death. Immediately after the judgment, Arowolo fell down in the dock and started shouting “Jesus have mercy.” PM News reports that Prof Obafunwa testified that his autopsy report revealed that Titilayo was killed through 76 knife stab wounds.

There were claims by Pastor Arowolo, suggesting that his wife was possessed and inflicted injuries on herself. He noted that the knife wounds affected Titilayo’s left eye, right eye, upper chest area, right chest and collar bone. Prof. Obafunwa pointed out in his testimony that the deceased could not have inflicted such wounds on herself. To further prove its case, prosecution invited some of Titilayo’s family members who testified that Arowolo and Titilayo had always had a troubled marriage.

The family members included Titilayo’s father, George Oyakhire; sister, Ijeh and mother-in-law, Mrs Adetoun Yeside Oyakhire. The three witnesses testified that the couple lived a cat and mouse life. They claimed that the family had at several times, settled serious fights between the couple. None of the witnesses however saw what actually happened on the day Titilayo died

Arowolo’s co-tenant, Adewale Adeyemi also gave evidence in the case. Arowolo’s parents testified that their son was incapable of murder
Adeyemi in his evidence said that on the day of the incident he heard a loud noise when he was in his apartment and later saw Arowolo rushing out with a deep cut in his palms. He claimed to have also seen a hammer and a knife with a broken handle in the yard. Other witnesses such a the security man at the Arowolos’ residence, Investigating Police Officer and an MTN Staff also gave evidence in the case.

Youth PastorArowolo broke down in tears, after the judge handed him the death sentence, he had claimed he was innocent of killing his wife. Having presented its case, the burden was shifted on Arowolo to defend himself.

Expectedly, Arowolo had his personal explanation as to what happened on the day Titilayo died. First, he claimed that he and his deceased wife had passionate sex for two hours and kissed on the same day she died.

He claimed that Titi stabbed herself to death on the day after they had a fight. Arowolo claimed that Titilayo was possessed by an evil spirit and inflicted several stab wounds on him before turning to herself. Arowolo’s father, Mudashiru and mother also testified of their son’s good behavior, insisting he could not have killed his wife.

They claimed that he has always been a religious person and was incapable of killing.

Religion / TB Joshua Visits South Sudan, Leads President In Prayer For Peace by tinajohn: 7:08pm On Nov 12, 2019
Respected Nigerian Pastor TB Joshua was personally received by South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir Mayardit during a visit to the East African nation in which he led the President and government officials in prayer for peace.

In the morning of Tuesday 12th November 2019, the President and First Lady welcomed Joshua upon his arrival at Juba International Airport, alongside government dignitaries and an ecstatic crowd of locals.

President Mayardit was joined by his Vice President, James Wani Igga, and a host of other senior government officials as the Nigerian cleric addressed the nation at the Presidential Palace.

“Time has come for us to put our differences behind us,” Joshua told the thousands of South Sudanese who gathered to hear his message.

“This is the voice of God. Our leaders should overcome their division and agree to work together for the good of the country,” he insisted in the address, which was televised live on South Sudan’s official broadcasting channel SSBC.

Joshua stated that “peace has no price”, adding that he resolved to visit the nation despite its reputation for ‘instability’ stemming from the civil war that has raged for almost six years.

He further described the South Sudanese as “intelligent, hardworking and ambitious people”, explaining how he came across them in every country he travelled to.

“Let us overcome our divisions and allow them to come back and develop their fatherland,” he passionately counselled.

“The issue of this nation is spiritual. We need to tackle it spiritually,” Joshua further admonished, stressing that his message was ‘from God’.

“If I am a prophet, this will not go without fulfilment,” he boldly declared.

Joshua then led the troubled nation in prayer for peace. “Have mercy on the nation. Let the leaders and citizens of South Sudan obtain Your mercy. Thank You for Your compassion and forgiveness,” he prayed, joined fervently by the President and his people.

In his short remarks, President Salva Kiir Mayardit stated that he believed the coming of the cleric would signal a new beginning in the nation.

“We have come a long distance searching for peace. Now that the man of God, Prophet TB Joshua, has come to South Sudan, I believe peace is at the corner,” he declared, adding that the cleric had ‘done his job’ and the onus was now on South Sudan’s leaders to do theirs.

After the address, Joshua – accompanied by his wife Evelyn and led by a large convoy of South Sudan’s military – visited the President’s personal home and prayed with his family.

TB Joshua, who wields huge levels of influence due to the popularity of his Christian television network Emmanuel TV, made a similar journey to Tanzania four years ago where he was received by President John Magufuli, who describes the cleric as his ‘mentor’.

Other African Presidents to have visited his popular church in Nigeria include the late Ghanaian leader John Atta Mills, former Malawian President Joyce Banda and Liberia’s President George Weah.

South Sudan, the world’s youngest country, has been in the throes of civil war since 2013 after a fall-out between President Mayardit and his Vice President Riek Machar.

Multiple reconciliatory efforts have been made to restore peace, including a visit to Pope Francis in Vatican City where he famously kissed the feet of both leaders.

Politics / PUNCH: Collapsed Synagogue Guesthouse Met British Standards – Expert by tinajohn: 11:40am On Nov 08, 2019
A professor of building and structural engineering, Patrick Nwankwo, on Thursday, told a Lagos State High Court in Igbosere that the collapsed Synagogue Church of All Nations’ guesthouse complied with the British standard code of building, adding that the collapse had nothing to do with structural defects.

The Lagos State Government had sued SCOAN over the collapsed building that killed 116 persons on September 12, 2014.

Two engineers, Oladele Ogundeji and Akinbela Fatiregun, and their companies, Hardrock Construction and Engineering Company and Jandy Trust Limited, were charged with 110 counts bordering on involuntary manslaughter, while the registered trustees of SCOAN were charged with one count of building without approval.

At the resumed hearing on Thursday, while being led-in-evidence by the defence counsel, Olalekan Ojo (SAN), Nwankwo told the court that he visited the site, took some measurements and carried out thorough investigations on what could have been responsible for the collapse and found out that all the components and building processes met the British building code standards.

I've known since the day I saw the CCTV footage that this was not just an 'ordinary collapse' due to structural defects. As an avid viewer of Emmanuel TV, it's evident that the devil hates TB Joshua passionately - because of the work he is doing to expose darkness.

This was a callous attack - hoping to dissuade people of God from visiting The SCOAN and discourage TBJ from continuing in his calling - but it failed miserably as people are flocking to his church in even larger numbers and the glory of God continues to shine upon every activity undertaken by the church.

Religion / India Supports Orphanage Named After TB Joshua In South Sudan by tinajohn: 6:24pm On Oct 18, 2019
The Indian Ambassador to South Sudan, S.D. Moorthy, has donated to an orphanage school in Juba, South Sudan named in honour of Nigerian Pastor, T.B. Joshua.

According to a report in Juba Monitor, Moorthy provided scholastic materials and foodstuff to help over 300 orphaned children at TB Joshua Primary Orphanage School in Juba, the South Sudanese capital city.

“It is time for you to embark on learning and studying for your bright future because peace is going to be restored in this country,” Moorthy told the budding students.

“Respect your teachers and guardians, so that God will help you and the Indian community in South Sudan would continue to help you,” he advised as gifts such as text books, mosquito nets and bags of maize flour were provided.

“India as a country is ready to help this learning centre by constructing accommodation and classrooms because South Sudanese children are bright in class and need better services in order for them to learn well,” he equally asserted.

The Executive Director of the Legacy for African Women and Children Initiative, Rose Acindhel Kacthiek, appreciated the embassy for the donation, describing it as “love without borders”.

“We are really appreciating the Embassy of India for their support and hope this continues so that God will bless these children and the embassy because we are doing this for the bright future of our children,” she said.

Jacob Majok, the Head Teacher of TB Joshua Primary Orphanage School, equally thanked the Asian nation.

“We are very thankful to Ambassador Moorthy for the support and he will not be forgotten by these children because he brought us very important things,” said Majok.

Although there is no evidence of TB Joshua’s direct involvement in the orphanage affairs, the institution was named after the prominent cleric and founder of The Synagogue Church of All Nations, who is known for his humanitarian endeavours and provision of scholarships to less-privileged students.

Another Nigerian, Fetimi Balogun Bebetebe, made a mark in the international academic world as he broke a 55-year-old record in Philippine university.

The Nigerian was sponsored by the federal government under the Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) to go for his Bsc in Marine Engineering at the University of Cebu, Philippines.

In an interview with CKN Nigeria, Fetimi said he won the highest distinction in the school, adding that the feat is such a miracle to him. Though he broke the record in 2017, according to a testimony shared on TB Joshua Ministries facebook page, the award ceremony will be coming up on Tuesday, October 29, 2019.

The Nigerian genius said he will like to appreciate the God of TB Joshua for how he was enabled with the academic prowess. He said that though Nigeria is blessed with abundant human resources, negligence has made it impossible to maximize them, calling for the need to put value on the things in our possession.

Crime / IGP Advises Prisoners To Watch TB Joshua's Emmanuel TV by tinajohn: 9:48pm On Oct 11, 2019
The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) of Ghana, James Oppong-Boanuh, has advised prison inmates to watch Emmanuel TV, the television station of Pastor TB Joshua, so as to be both ‘informed’ and ‘reformed’.

According to a report in The Ghanaian Times, Oppong-Boanuh made this assertion while presenting food items, a flat screen television and a decoder to inmates of the Sekondi Prisons in the Western Region of Ghana.

Presenting the items on behalf of the IGP, the Western Regional Police Commander, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Redeemer Vincent Dedjoe, entreated the prison officers to encourage the inmates to particularly watch the activities of TB Joshua on Emmanuel TV.

“This will help the inmates to listen to the Word of God, be informed and well reformed when they are released from prisons,” he stated, emphasising the gifts were “a measure of extending God’s love and care to them”.

Receiving the items, the Assistant Director of Prisons (ADP), Nana Amoku Quansah, expressed gratitude to the IGP, who was newly confirmed as Ghana’s top police officer by President Akufo-Addo, for the gesture.

Emmanuel TV is the world’s most watched Christian ministry YouTube channel with its videos attracting over 500 million views.

Religion / "I Saw JESUS Inside TB Joshua’s Church!!!" by tinajohn: 3:16pm On Oct 05, 2019
A Nigerian lady has sensationally claimed she “saw Jesus” during a service at T. B. Joshua’s The Synagogue Church of All Nations in Ikotun-Egbe, Lagos, Nigeria.

In a clip published by Emmanuel TV’s YouTube channel, Chelsea Oghene Tega from Delta State is seen amidst congregants collecting “living water” when she suddenly points her finger towards the “church altar” and starts wildly gesticulating and shouting.

“I saw a man in a white robe with smoke. There was smoke everywhere from His feet,” she vividly described when pressed with questions. “The glory was too much; I could not even look.”

Testifying in a subsequent service, Tega explained with greater clarity about the “open vision” she saw.

She admitted she was sceptical of Christianity and specifically critical of TB Joshua’s ministry and television network, Emmanuel TV.

“I was fed up with churches. I felt all they would do is ask you to bring offerings and tithes – so I got upset with them,” Tega explained, adding she watched Emmanuel TV intermittently but never “believed” in the miracles she saw.

According to Tega, she was heading to a market in Lagos when she saw the huge crowd of people amassing outside The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations for the Friday “Living Water Service”.

“My cousin had really pressed me that I must come to The SCOAN – since I was in Lagos – to get ‘the water’ for my elder brother who was sick,” she explained.

Her interest sufficiently piqued by the crowd – coupled with the request of her cousin – Tega resolved to join the mammoth queue to enter the service.

“I just wanted to enter and see this Synagogue I had been watching on TV,” she surmised, adding she still harboured doubts at that moment.
Eventually entering the service, the young lady described her subsequent encounter as “beyond human comprehension”.

She recounted: “As soon as I got the water, I felt a force hold my leg. I couldn’t move. It then became cloudy as if it wanted to rain. I saw some angelic beings coming like diamonds – glittering, sparkling. I then saw a Man coming out with smoke. He was just rising, growing big. Then, the people I first saw come out were all bowing down, worshipping Him.”

According to Tega, the “Man” said: “Do you now believe? I am the Living Water; anyone who comes to Me will never thirst again.”

She described His appearance as “the most handsome Man I ever saw,” adding that He was adorned with a crown and “glittering regalia”.

“It was too bright. I wasn’t seeing them on the ground,” she added.

Concluding, Tega admitted her perception of The SCOAN had radically shifted in the light of her “encounter”.

“God is here! God is in this place because what I saw was not just angels; Jesus came Himself. He was here. He showed Himself to me so I would trust and believe in Him,” she asserted.

“Everything I had been watching on Emmanuel TV – it’s true, it’s real. I doubted but God had to reveal Himself to me,” she concluded.

Religion / Re: Apostle Suleman: I Almost Died Fasting For 11 Days Without Water Or Food by tinajohn: 3:58pm On Oct 04, 2019
This is the part where I remind people that TB Joshua fasted 40 days and nights - under God's instruction and direction.

The issue here is not fasting per se - but following the instruction of the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ was 'led' to the wilderness for His fast.

If we fast in our own power, it's nothing more than a hunger strike

Matthew 5:11-12 - “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."

Religion / BREAKING: 200 Nigerian Returnees From South Africa Storm Synagogue Church!! by tinajohn: 9:37am On Sep 19, 2019
I just learned (from a friend who lives very close to Synagogue) that almost 200 of the Nigerian returnees from South Africa - who arrived last night via Air Peace - are currently inside TB Joshua's church - The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) in Ikotun, Lagos.

The man of God has a good heart - he gave the last set of 30 who came to his church 100k each to help them restart their lives!

With this large number and the amount of other charitable issues he's attending to, I wonder how much he will give each to this set who are now in his church? Maybe 50k?

It is good to do good!

Religion / “Why I Cried Over Xenophobia” – Pastor TB Joshua Reveals by tinajohn: 9:04am On Sep 16, 2019
After shedding tears last week at the outbreak of xenophobic violence in South Africa, Nigerian Pastor TB Joshua has spoken about his uncharacteristic display of emotions.

“It was very necessary for Mr TB Joshua – not Prophet – to cry because of what he saw coming,” Joshua told a congregation – which included hundreds of South African nationals on pilgrimage to his church – on Sunday 15th September 2019.

The cleric proceeded to thank the multicultural congregants – and believers worldwide – for joining him in prayer.

“Thank God our prayers were answered,” he declared to enthusiastic applause, evidently referring to the palpable de-escalation in tension in the volatile region.

Corroborating this assertion, thirty of the Nigerians who voluntarily returned from South Africa in the wake of the violence visited The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) to thank Joshua for the “tears he shed for African unity”.

In a report published in the Nigerian Tribune, Uche Victor Nwaocha explained there was tangible fear within the foreign community in South Africa with threats of more xenophobic violence looming large but Joshua’s tearful call for African unity changed the equation.

The tears he shed last Sunday not only touched hearts but saved many souls. After that Sunday service, there was calmness,” the Nigerian, who lived in South Africa for seven years, revealed.

Ichigodora Dengarinenharo, a Zimbabwean also living in South Africa, echoed Uche’s sentiments in a comment on YouTube, insisting the song was actually “a prayer”.

“After releasing this song, all of a sudden there was calmness in the whole country,” she wrote.“There were plans to spread xenophobia to all provinces on the 9th of September but instead, after releasing this song on the 8th, we woke up to a quiet South Africa.”

Kayode Johnson Oluwafemi, another of the Nigerian returnees, explained he stayed in his house for almost a fortnight after the violence broke out in fear of reprisal attacks.

“The man of God’s message and tears shook the whole of Africa. Even those South Africans that were fighting before – they called us for a meeting of settlement… We saw the changes immediately. Even me – after the message, I had confidence to go out,” he shared.

Joshua, who is known for his humanitarian gestures, gave the group N3,000,000 to support them on their return to their homeland.

Speaking further during the church service, the cleric insisted that every nation has its challenges but the approach of the provoked South Africans “was wrong”.

“It’s okay to be wrong only if we retract our steps,” he insisted, adding that he had a sent a message to “people in authority” in South Africa calling on them to “hold a peace rally” to send a message of appeasement.

True to his words, South Africans gathered in large numbers later on Sunday, taking to the streets to stage a peaceful rally calling for African unity and apologising to foreign nationals targeted in the xenophobic attacks.

South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa equally revealed his nation is sending a team of Special Envoys throughout the continent to deliver a message of solidarity to the African Heads of State.

‘Africa Unite’, the song Joshua composed addressing the precarious situation, has been viewed over 1,000,000 times on YouTube and Facebook since its release last week.
