Religion / Re: Pay House Rent Or Pay Tithe by Tinkinguy(m): 11:26am On Feb 05, 2010
People,
I think we need to take a break and consider the writings below:

Lasting Choices

And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us. , Luke 16:26

Recommended Reading
Luke 16:19-31

Every day is filled with decisions; and the further we are into the decision-making process, the more difficult it is to reverse them. Take buying your first home. It's much easier to change your mind prior to signing the papers than after the home is yours. At some point, we're committed to our decisions and cannot easily undo our choices, if at all.

In telling us about Lazarus and the rich man, Jesus indicated that on earth we have the opportunity of making spiritual decisions that will transform our lives and determine our eternal destination. But at the moment of death, that opportunity is gone forever. In hell, the rich man earnestly desired to cross over to be with Abraham and Lazarus in God's heaven, but there was "a great gulf fixed," and he was unable to do so.

The Bible says that today is the day of salvation; now is the time to be saved (2 Corinthians 6:2). When we pause to think of the limitless duration of eternity, how important to choose Jesus now and to follow Him with all our hearts!

Could we but for one moment get a glimpse into the mighty depths of His love, our hearts would spring out to meet His will, and embrace it as our richest treasure.

I will answer your questions one after the other:

1. Sure I will still pay!!

2.I never tell you the amount is exactly the same. Guy get a grip of you comprehension.

3. Irrelevant question in my opinion.

4. You are having issues with comprehension.

5. Nope

6. Nope.

Pally, all you questions seems meaningless to me. No abuse intended though.

Please keep the abuses away, if I want abuse I will go to the Politics and tribalism threads.

Thank you and God Bless.

Guy,
You did good to answer the questions you could, however your last 2 sentence as recorded below

"However since I mentioned the fact about the money to the ears of my pastor, he has been using the "Tithe thing" as his message theme every sunday.

If I pay the tithe, I will be short on the required amount and my present Landlord needs his apartment."

See your answer = 2. I never tell you the amount is exactly the same. Guy get a grip of you comprehension.

The tithe is just one tenth, if that is remove and you have a shortage on the rent payment, then the total money is not far from rent money, NB, I never said the are the same, rather it looks exactly as the amount meant for the rent.

People get to follow most times what is in their mind when the get to church or other functions,
I will give you and example, When you desire to buy a particular thing say honda CAR for instance, suddenly. if you are truthful will begin to notice all the time that the particular car is almost everywhere, you will begin to see more of it that any other car.

That's what  happened to you guy, you pastor before now I want to believe so had been  teaching on tithing, only that you now noticed it more with your recent actions.

Please be truthful at least to yourself and do the right thing. Am not the abuse type my guy, people over grow things
Religion / Re: Pay House Rent Or Pay Tithe by Tinkinguy(m): 12:31pm On Feb 04, 2010
Guy, Guy, @ Poster,

why being diplomatic with the truth, I have watch your reactions to the replies some people posted and it don't seem to me you were confused in the first place on what to do.

I just have few questions and if you can answer them honestly then it rest the case for me, am not going to ask you to either pay for your rent first or do the tithing, either way you still have your choice, but be truthful with these questions and you will know what to do thereafter;

1)  What would you have done if the "supposed Money" did not come, still pay your rent anyway or not??
2)  How come the "supposed" money looks exactly as the amount meant for the rent, at least you made us want to believe so?
3)  If the "supposed money was far less than the rent (Say 70% less) what will be your reactions?
4)  How come you are hearing more of your pastor's teaching on tithing now than before?
5)  If you use the money for your rent, Will it change who God is?
6)  If you decide to give your tithe out of the money, Will it change who God is?

Pls be truthful with yourselves and you will be glad you did.
Family / Re: Would You Quit Your Job If Hubby Insists? by Tinkinguy(m): 3:51pm On Nov 17, 2009
For whatever reason, the raising of kid/children in any family should be of paramount important, and this should not be compromised in any way.
Quitting one’s job should be considered if situation demands for it, however for any industrious woman, she will always come up with good ideas on how to handle the situation.

There are millions and one job that allows enough time for the woman to cater for her family if she’s willing to pursue such.
At worse case, she can be on her own business, and the husband should support her to make this happen.

Please guys, marry someone you can always trust and tolerate; marriages are working and had been working. Don’t go into it with the mindset that one day it will crash………………….plsssss
Family / Re: Am I Wrong To Want To Marry A Rich Man? by Tinkinguy(m): 12:57pm On Aug 18, 2009
Nooooooo young woman,

You are not wrong my dear at all………………, there are one and one million guys like that all over Nija, you only have to look, maybe also search but not that much shaa and you will find them loitering every way.

??
It really amazes me, when a woman/lady only thinks the guy to be in her life should be the one that will cater for all things during their life time. Maybe I have forgotten the meaning of “MARRAGE”.

Why will a man need a wife if the woman will only be one of the properties he has? What is the purpose of a woman in a home?

That you are privileged to earn more than “you’re would be man” doesn’t make him a poor guy.

Why would you want a guy in his 28-30 years range with all those listed criteria, who says the guy in that range will also want you?

Wake up young woman and refrain yourself from the destructive pathway you want to tread.

A word is enough for the simple and teachable.

TV/Movies / Re: Ultimate Search 6: Wale Alabi Eviction Was Political by Tinkinguy(m): 2:11pm On Jul 30, 2009
God help Nigeria, , When I consider what happens in the National Assembly, I do think that maybe it because most of them are not That Educated, I usually think as well that majority of the guys in Narialand at least passed their S.S.C.E and that Education can actually refine someone in his/her use of words.

But no, I see a different thing here, why calling someone names just because his/her view is not in line with yours.

The GUS 6 will continue to interest people whether the "most preferred contestant" as assumed by some people leaves or not.

I want to believe that for each GUS, the rules for eviction had been spelled out and the power to evict is not for the instructor to do as he wish, but to manage the games and release the conditions as at when due.

Wale is not the only person that had been evicted and will not be, So why the noise!!!!
TV/Movies / Re: Ultimate Search 6: Wale Alabi Eviction Was Political by Tinkinguy(m): 11:31am On Jul 30, 2009
Guys!, guys!! we all can say all that we feel is the norm, however the facts remains that Wale is out period.
I dont like joining issues with people once they start linking it to tribal edges, however there's noting that defined Wale as the could be winner.

All the contestants all have what it takes to be one. Its also important we understand that winning in such a game as this, is not all about been strong, macho or tall, but smart, intelligent and desire to succeed is the key word.
Like I said b4, all the evicted ones to me are full of suprises wale's case  not outstanding.
TV/Movies / Re: Ultimate Search 6: Wale Alabi Eviction Was Political by Tinkinguy(m): 10:37am On Jul 30, 2009
While I was shock as well on Wale's eviction, I don't think though that it was politically or tribal motivated. Each slag in this run up has it's own punishment and as such, if the so call council of Elders thought it wise to evict the bearer if it was missing then, so be it.

The last time b4 it's missing, there was a serious warning to him and others to ensure that it was safe guarded. I thought he could have seen such coming and play his role well, but then the worse happened.
The various evictions in this contest if you ask me has been full of suprises.

It's their way and I don't expect if at all the deal is close on, not to see another sell out and change of name:
From 1) Econet = 2) Vodacom = 3) VeeNetwork trading as Vmobile = 4) Celtel = 5) Zain and probably the french company I foresee here is = 6) Orange Telecoms.

This metamorphoses is really getting very interesting, I think I'm lovin it.

Most times when I read of people's question on this forum, I wonder if they are asking either for someone to comment on this post and confirm the poster's view or action already taken, or proffer a solution to the questions probably asked, or better still give an advice on the mater on ground so as the poster can danced towards the right part of advice.

However what I see in here is, posters picking on anyone that have a different view from theirs and rebranding such one as fools for commenting.

@ Poster, please whats your intention of posting this thread

@ Poster,

Thank God some ladies here confirmed they are married, if they manage their homes with the advice of don't apologies and find your way out, then there's a problem here.

The man in question may not have the privilege of reading the comments here and as such may not even be adviced by any one.

If and only if young woman you really need advice to better your home, then I can tell you it doesn't matter who initiate the reconciliation process and that it in fact means that person is more matured and understand life beta.

But thats the way life goes, if two people in a relationship decides to prove strong head then why coming together in the first place.

Let me ask you once more @ poster, what s the reason of your posting this thread here
check it again
Family / Re: My Husband Slapped Me Twice And Now He's Not Talking To Me by Tinkinguy(m): 3:43pm On Mar 27, 2009
@ Osisi,

Thats not a very good way of resolving issues, While I dont condole a Man raising his hands agaist the wife, I also doesn't condole a woman ranting or raising her mouth as the case maybe.

if the parents of the lady call her back to their house, and possibly request for their in-law to come and collect their bride prize, then what next??, she will hook up with another man and wait for similar case to happen so she can run back to her parents?

Character with maturity is what builds a home, , if you are not ready to use wise words when conversing, then consider not getting involve  into any relationship whatsover.

running away from your marriage over any issue will not grantee that the next man or woman will not bring similar issue to board.

Everyone married or wishing to married should learn the act of ttoleranceand apply wisdom when needed to make their home a lasting and eexemplaryone.

She should work out her home with Gods grace, no matter how bad it seems.

@ Poster, unless you re not really seeking for advice to bbetteryour home, a gentle aanswerquitens a rough and angry mind.

@Poster,

Look Young woman, even your tone of voice suggest to me you don't really need our advice, your hobby is now been referred as "this man".

I just have some few questions to ask you to get better understanding;

1) Can you tell us how long you have known 'this man".

2) how come he suddenly change his attitude towards you un-announced.

3) Do you really love him any more if at all you did from the beginning.

I will also like to let you know that the union of 2 different people doesn't flow seamlessly as imagine, there are ups and downs as the river flows, however your attitude in any situation and the application of wisdom defines how far any relationship lasts.

why am not backing the so called hobby on his action, I strongly think you need to evaluate your stand and convision towards this marriage.
Family / Re: My Husband Slapped Me Twice And Now He's Not Talking To Me by Tinkinguy(m): 11:12am On Mar 27, 2009
@ Poster,

Some info is definitly missing from your story, that your hobby spalled you and refuse to talk to you for 3 days now, and even stopped giving you food money just cox you asked him why he's sleeping without taken his bath?.

What is it that is preventing you from saying sorry and the that thing is also pushing you to terminate your pregrancy? Haba woman. you can do better than this your wide story.

How long did you date this man and how long have you been in your marriage with him that you just discovered he's very stiff neck??

When you tell us the whole truth and really need good advise, you will definitly get one.

Don't decive your self.
