@ heartsocle,
Your question reffered;
'i deleted all the channel, but now if i scan again, i can't get more dan 24 channel what could be the problem please, am on PAS 7,10 KU.how can i get back my E.tv Channel ?'

You probably scannned your decoder using only freq(s) on 12682H and or 12562H which re on the horizontal axis, for you to get more channel added to the ones you alreeady have including ETV, then you need to also scan using this frequency 12722V, the symbol rate remains the same, however if you also wish to get the MYTV channels then you change the Vertical polarization to Horizontal i.e 12722H.

Try this and lets know how far you were able to go.

Cheers!!!

@ Poster,

while commending you for posting such vacancy, I dont understand why Access bank is looking for poeple below 24 years of age.

I do hope they re not looking to sap the energy of this young minds, and dump them as soon as they cant perform for other younger ones.

This is just not fair.

Access bank should repent and be bold like other banks.

Look Sis,

I can tell you point blank that you re not one of their staff, but just another sales contractor, who will be compensated by the commission from the number of sales you were able to make, and with that they are not going to pay you anything as per salary. The process by which you were recruited is not the normal employment process, this I deduced from the story I told us.

No company employs like that my sister, however you have options:
1) to either continue with the marketing job to which you will only get and make due with the commission of the products sold or,
2) quit the job and look for yourself another job where you will be properly interviewed and employed with all the terms and conditions stated and signed by both parties.

Hi guys,

NTA Plus' is now encrypted in Conax on 12522H, for those who's NTA plus channel has not been showing for days now. So is no longer a free service, though I really wonder what it is that they re showing, to warrant encryption.

@ donaremu,
(I wish to get another dish and LNB with my receiver. Please, how much will it cost me?)

I would have love to send you a private mail, however the questions you asked is a general one and could possibly be of help to another person in need of the answer.

The prize range of the dishes and LNB's varies in relation to the locations within Nija. However, I will outline a relative prize range for an idea;

DIshes and LNB's
90cm = 4K to 5K
120cm = 8K to 10K
LNB = KU band = 800 to 1000 naria
LNB = C-Band = 1500 to 2500 naria.

Remember, the prize varies with location, but with these range in mind, you can do good bargining within your area.

@ const6

"Can anybody tell me how i can put another LNB on my current HITV dish and get MYtv Africa"

You didnt tell us on which satellite and direction your dish is facing and also the size of your dish.

First you need to know that its possible to add as many LNB's as possible on a single dish, however there are things you need to consider b4 that;
1) the direction your current dish is facing and what satellite you re connected to.
2) if your dish is facing east where MYTV satellite channels is facing then, its posible for you to add another LNB and get channels within that footprint.
3) if your dish is facing West (which I presume is where HItv can be received (27.5w ) I stand to be corrected, then you can't get anything like MYTV channels but other satellite channels within that axis by using another LNB with some degrees apart, however you have to figure out how to extend the LNB holder for the additional LNB's.

So if you still wish to get MYTV along side Hitv, then you have to get yourself another dish of possibly 60 to 90cm, which you will face east (68.5E) in-order to get these channel packages.

"You can easily just watch the Satellite stations online and you don't even need to buy anything. There are many sites that shows the Free to Air stations; my favorite is http://satellitetvnavigator.com"

Watching the free channels TV online is kull if and only if you have enough bandwidth pipe and capacity for streaming. In nigeria where most of the bandwidth available is been supply by One ISP using radios, or Vsat or DSL links, and people using 64Kbps, or 120, 256 or even 512Kbps, Is pretty hard to be able to watch it online without cracks and breaks, which makes it fustrating, even when you decide to do a night watch or night browsing as the case maybe.

However in the near future with the introduction of Optics fibre looming around in nigeria of recent, and many people subcribing to over 1-2 Mega of bandwidth capacity, which can also do video conferencing in addition to voice, data etc, then watching free satellite TV online will be more interesting.

For now my people, I will suggest we just take a bow and leave the matter for next time.

Like I said before, am going to outline the steps I used in relation to my kind of decoder (Technosat) however if you re using strong decoder which I also think may be the same steps, but if not, maybe other guys in the house who uses strong decoder can be of help.

From the menu:
1) go to installation
2) enter parental code option
3) then here try typing 3311 or any other numbers and a red spot will be highlighted at the bottom of the screen.
4) Press the red button on your remote and this will take you to the current keys column and which will also outline others keys like nagravision, viaaccess, seba, conax etc, if your decoder supports them.
5) go to the nagravission option and enter the nagravision code for sabc and exit as it saves the configuration.

Thats all you need to do and will be back with you ETV watching.
I hope this can help

Enjoy!!!!!!!

Hi All
My decoder (Technosat) was one of the affected ETV scrambled, however I was able to re-enter the nagravision code as it were and the ETV channel started showing. I guess people with Strong decoder will need to follow the advice of @_pitodenz.

If you re not using Strong decoder and had entered nagravision codes into your decoder b4 the scrambling occured last week, try doing the same once more as it were if you re also having the ETV scrambled issue.

If I got what you said very well, once all the channels within MYTV axis had signal strength issues probably due to weather or Antenna shifting or its fromthe satellite, but was restored later, however ETV channel did not come up with them and its showing scrambled.

I guess you need to rescan the frequency on which you got them again, bearing in mind the polarization, and afterthat, use the 6969 activation code on ETV once more. this is if you re using strong decoder.

let see how it goes

In relation to my question earlier on, regarding ETV and entering code through the decoder remote, I was able to figure out what went wrong and finally get to the codes where I re-entered the Nagravision code for ETV.

Botton line is that am back on with my ETV channel veiwing.

Yes, am also having isuses viewing ETV channel since last wednesday (16th Jan), the channel just went blind and I cant figure out what really went wrong. Though I dont use the Strong decoder, so the idea of typing 6969 is out, my decoder is named Technosat, and it had been quite difficult getting to the coloun for the various Keys, cos it has Via-access, Conax, Nagravision Conax, Irdeto, Seca/Mediaguard. more like a multi purpose decoder.

Any one having this decoder in the house and who can help out pls repond.

Hi pitodenz,

Its good to know you made some progress, however entering the code is a function of the decoder, I leant 6969 is used for strong decoder and that you do this at the parental code screen (not too sure abot this as I dont use strong) but give it a trial if the channel you want to open is etv.

However, if you have a decoder as mine (Technosat) then you need to press the red button on reaching the parental code screen, this will take you to the current keys screen, where you will see thigs like:
Nagra, SECA, Viacess etc, , then chose nagra option and enter the keys you have.

I gues @ Enigma, is more knowlegable in this areas, is beter to check out all his pose and follow duly if you still cant do it with my directions.

Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread of Free-To-Air Satellite TV (Part 1) by Tinkinguy(m): 2:05pm On Sep 17, 2007
Hi kevin96,

I tink the most known decoder in Nigeria is strong decoder, though am using Technosat. Strong decoder is b/w 10K to 12K, you can also get a 90cm dish for KU band or better still a 120cm/more though, it depends on space size of your compound, and other things., then you can get the LNB depending on your dish size.

A dish of more than 90cm is kool if you have the space shaa. you can get more info if you track the sellers within your area.

Hi pitodenz,

Also try entering the keys through the parental code menu. once you get to this area, press the red button on your remote and it will take you to the various key coloum.
and like I sad b4, it also depends on the type of decoder you have.
Maybe the gury (Enigma) will help beter.

tek kia.
