Na wao nobody??

Hi car enthusiasts
Kindly inform if any one knows about steering rack adjustment for honda and who has done it.
I happen to be an owner of 2005 honda pilot and member of forum www.Piloteer.com.
I read up where one owner fixed a sloppy steering by tightening the rack adjustment bolt underneath.
My car rides well and steering is straight , but it feels very sloppy from any thing beyond 90 km; and scary.
Please who has done this and where?

Even at gbagada , Diya street is in a terrible state. The local government is very close to it as well.

Guys just returned from my mechanic and we found the culprit
its the timing belt tensioner, we got a replacement from ladipo, the former had oil leaking and had some play.

Why the grin?

Hi my fellow Car enthusiast.
I have a 2005 honda pilot (135,000 miles) and it sometimes rattles at colds start then sound smoothens in 1mins. Mechanic has checked the power steering pump, ac compressor bearing, alternator and its not any of these. Serpentine belt was changed last yr and its OEM from USA.

A friend who is also a honda user checked and instantly told me its likely to be the timing belt tensioner, and that its better i do the timing belt change as well with the complete kit.

My scare is that this is a skilled job, going by youtube videos and i don't want any person to work on this except a professional honda technician. I also like my car neatly don, not throwing away screws and ensuring everything is put in place like the manaufacturer.

Please my friends, kindly recommend a good honda technician who is able to perform this job. I reside at gbagada lagos.

This is something we have had our software engineers looking into and we are on the verge of making a few changes to the system. The "extra costs" are actually a function of the fluctuating exchange rate currently being experienced. A situation we did not forsee. Normally the invoices are calculated on the system but we'll have someone make a manual recalculation and reconcile the account based on the exchange rate at the time of purchase. As mentioned earlier, we'll have a permanenet fix for this issue for all our customers shortly. Thanks again.

My initial perception of the e -Merchant circuit atlantic has been one of a 5 star performance, even referring them to colleagues , friends and family . However as year go by, they have shown they are not organised , declining in services delivery , and on many occasions failed to deliver products purchased
I get constant reply of "we have escalated to our US team".

Sometime in 2014 , I ordered for 2 phones of different makes, and they delivered 2 of same make. I let it go.

A colleague ordered for some fashion accessories of less then $50 , and they delivered to her someone else's Apple Mac air laptop, 2 iphones, 2 PlayStation game pads of thousand of dollars. She had to return them

These are the latest orders I made, considering the very small dollar value.

A Nautica perfume ordered to mark the birthday of a beloved friend, until now was never delivered

Honda touch up paint, which i wanted to use on small dings, marks from okada and keke riders. May have been delivered in planet Jupiter

I hope i share the same displeasure with some Nairalanders.

Hello my friends . I wish to share this exciting revelation just in case you are experiencing such.
I have been hearing this clanging chain sound underneath my car on rough roads and bumps. The noise is a replica of the noise you hear from public buses e.t.c.
To resolve I have jacked up the car so many times to check for loose fittings, exhast, linkage, catalystic conveter , covers e.t.c all to no avail.
On Saturday 29th , I went to my mmechanic to do my brake jobs , and also to explain the sound to him.
Lo and behold, he showed me the rear pads having a clearance from the metal clips, hence allowing it to shake and vibrate at every rough road. He now added a soft ceramic material to give it some fitness.

This morning the car drives like its from honda factory and no sound, no vibrations , no clanging
