A doctor at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja, Alabi Oyedeji, Monday, told an Ikeja Special Offences Court, that a twin sisters (names withheld), 17, were allegedly defiled by their school principal, Samson Adeyemo over a period of two years.

The defendant, who was the principal of the school located in Beckley Estate Abule Egba, allegedly had sexual intercourse with the sisters between 2015 and 2016, when they were in SS1 students.


Adeyemo, 30, is standing for having allegedly having sexual intercourse with 17-year-old twin sisters and impregnating one of them before Justice Sherifat Solebo.

He was alleged to have lured the twins to his office on separate occasions, had sexual intercourse with them, until one of them got pregnant.

Dr Oyedeji, a consultant at Mirabel Centre, LASUTH, told the court that the twin sisters confirmed to him that their principal had sexual relationship with them from 2015-2016.

According to him, the school principal, in the course of having incessant intercourse, impregnated one of the twins.

Led in evidence by the State prosecutor, M. S. Oshodi, the doctor said, “The principal, on several occasion, had sexual intercourse with the twins and one of them tagged, ‘Victim X’ became pregnant. Their mother got to know about it, during an attempt to terminate the pregnancy.

“It was in the process of terminating the pregnancy that Victim X found out that the same principal was equally having an affair with her twin sister, tagged Victim Y.

“This was what Victim X verbally told me. However, during the general observation of the victims, I discovered that they were both clinically stable”, he said.

Dr Oyedeji told the court that further examination of the twins showed that other structures of body like the urethra was normal. But the vagina entrance had tags of hymen that was fragmented.

“The tags of hymen found at the vagina entry proper suggests a repeated forceful penetration into their vagina. I also took blood and urine samples of the victims, including appropriate screening test,” he said.

One of the twin sisters, (Victim X), had testified in court that the school principal kept a camp bed inside his office which he used whenever he wants to have sex with her.

Victim X told the court that she aborted the pregnancy through the help of her mother, who took her to a nurse.

“I was still in SS1 when the incident happened. On that day, I was in my classroom when the principal entered and asked if my class teacher was around. I said no. He then ordered me to follow him to his office.

“When we got to his office, he started calling me sweet names before removing my school uniform. He thereafter had sexual intercourse with me and instructed me not to tell anyone.

“He continued having sex with me over a long period of time until I became pregnant.

“I didn’t even know that I was pregnant until one of our neighbors noticed some changes in my body and informed my mother.

“When my mother confronted me and slapped me several times, I told her that the principal has been having sex with me inside his office.

“My mum immediately called the principal and asked him, and he admitted impregnating me. He then told my mother that we should keep the baby but my mother refused.

“The principal begged my mother not to abort the pregnancy but she refused and took me to a nurse to remove it. My mother told him that she cannot allow me carry a baby, at a tender age”.

She said it was the defendant that made money available for the abortion.

“As a result of the abortion, my parents withdrew me from the school and enrolled me at the defendant’s father’s school, where I wrote my WAEC exams,” Victim X said.

Justice Solebo has adjourned the matter till November 18, 2019.

The Nigerian Army has accused one major and 21 soldiers of fleeing from the scene of a Boko Haram attack and subsequently declared them wanted, military sources said.

The Nigerian Army has accused one major and 21 soldiers of fleeing from the scene of a Boko Haram attack and subsequently declared them wanted, military sources said.

The soldiers were declared as deserters bound to face dire consequences if found, PREMIUM TIMES learnt from military commanders who demanded anonymity because the disclosure was not authorised.

The soldiers were said to have fled from the scene of a Boko Haram attack in Gubio, a community in Borno State now partly controlled by insurgents, on September 29. Reports said 18 soldiers were killed during the attack on a military outpost in the community.

The Nigerian Army did not confirm the attack or acknowledge own casualties, but senior officers began immediately working to establish the level of resistance or damage from troops during the attack. In the aftermath, 22 soldiers were unavailable without immediate indication that they were missing in action or seized by Boko Haram.

It was unclear whether the alleged desertion of the major and his men was informed by previous threats from Tukur Buratai, the head of the Nigerian Army, that soldiers would be severely punished if they abandon positions during a Boko Haram attack. Mr Buratai repeated the warning in June, accusing some soldiers of exhibiting an alarming level of cowardice that had made it difficult to win the 10-year war against insurgency.

Mr Buratai’s caution followed a string of successful Boko Haram attacks on military bases that left hundreds of soldiers killed and communities devastated since July 2018.


It was unclear how many soldiers were manning the outpost in Gubio at the time insurgents struck at about 4:30 p.m. on September 29, but military sources said the soldiers so far believed to have deserted were 22.

A list of the those declared wanted and obtained by PREMIUM TIMES includes: U.A. Nagogo, a major; Mallam Turaki, a staff sergeant; Benjamin Afolabi, sergeant, Christian Nwachukwu, sergeant; Patrick Kosin, sergeant; Awuwa Orin, sergeant; Ibrahim Amodu, sergeant; Nasiru Umar, sergeant; Bello Suleiman, sergeant; Josiah Seth, sergeant and Muazu Nura, sergeant.


Ayodeji Ogunsuji, corporal; Michael Friday, corporal; Wakili Saul, corporal; Akyen Zamani, corporal; Yahaya Abubakar-Doia, lance corporal; Isikuru Venture, lance corporal; Aminu Isiaku, lance corporal; Usman Suleiman, lance corporal; Maigari Markus, lance corporal; Edward Ofem, lance corporal and Adams Shehu, lance corporal, were also declared wanted.

They were all accused of absconding from duty to an unknown destination and should be arrested if found and returned in military escort to face disciplinary action.

Allegations of desertion remained a recurring feature in the Nigerian Army since Boko Haram counter efforts became the single most challenging task for the Nigerian Army at the start of the decade. In September 2014, about 400 soldiers sought refuge in Cameroon after fleeing a Boko Haram attack on Nigerian soil.

More than a dozen allegations of desertion involving hundreds of soldiers had been formally raised by the military within the same period. Five soldiers were declared wanted in July after making away with what military sources said was over N1 billion in cash.

A spokesperson for the Nigerian Army, Sagir Musa, declined comments to PREMIUM TIMES about the latest situation involving 22 soldiers.

The Nigerian Army on Sunday arrested a suspected Boko Haram insurgents’ logistic supplier and seized a car stacked with motorcycle used tyres in Borno.

Brig.-Gen. AK Ibrahim, the Acting General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division, made the disclosure while parading the suspect at the Gubio Super Camp in Maiduguri.

Ibrahim disclosed that the suspect, Samuel Chukwudon, was arrested on Sept. 27, by a joint team of troops of Operation Lafiya Dole (OPLD) and personnel of the Nigeria Custom Service (NCS), while travelling along Baga-Monguno Road.

He said that the troops seized items which included a car, 136 used motorcycle tyres, 200 new tubes and a number of rubber gum.

“The arrest is based on the subsisting ban on motorcycle in the theater of operation due to the security challenges.

“We know that the insurgents use motorcycles in their operations; nobody is allowed to ride motorcycle, the suspect is arrested with the banned items heading toward Lake Chad basin.

“Boko Haram insurgents are around the area and we felt that something was fishy. He made several attempts to bribe our men at the time of the arrest and during interrogation,“ Ibrahim said.

The officer said that the seized car and items would be destroyed and warned people in the area against trading in motorcycles and motorcycle spare parts.

The suspect, however, told newsmen that he sells used motorcycle tyres to cart pushers such as water vendors and firewood sellers in Monguno.

“I reside in Monguno since 1990; I have a shop and everybody in the town knows me, I engaged in the used tyres trade because they told us not to sell new tyres,“ the suspect said.

A NAKED couple fell to their deaths while having sex on a third-floor balcony after a house party, it was reported yesterday.

The woman, a 28-year-old mother, and her 35-year-old lover slipped over the edge of a wall while romping in Ecuador, it's believed.

They fatally plunged onto the terrace below, cops told local reporters in the capital Quito.

The tragic pair was discovered by a neighbour in the Carapungo district who heard a loud crash and rushed outside to investigate.

A heartbroken relative of the unnamed woman said she was the mother of an 8-year-old girl.
The fall happened not long after she threw a graduation party at her home, the relative added.

Detectives are investigating the circumstances, said Calderon Police District Operations Chief Cristhian Trujillo.

Local media reports said the couple wasn’t paying attention to the height of the balcony wall and toppled over it while having sex.
