OT faithfuls don't want Berbatov.
We need a striker that can lead an attack in a 4-5-1 formation in Europe.
Berbatov cannot do that because he is in the mould of Tevez n Wazza. . . .He cannot play upfront on his own.
We need a Torres, Ruud, Santa Cruz, Zamorano, Luiz Ronaldo type of player.
The answer is Huntelaar!!!!
who are the OT faithfuls? im a faithful myself

Berba is point man and can play anywhere on the field. he is never like Wazza and Tevez
Torres? This is the first time Torres will be scoring more than 20 goals in a season!!!
Even Villa is more prolific. How can u compare Berba to Torres.

Let Berba play in any of the top four and see what hes like. Hes far better than Hunter as a baller. Did u say Santa Cruz?
u must be joking. he was sent packing from the Bundesliga to a mid table team and u think United is the best place for him. never!! let the gaynners get him

mon Dieu!and to think you have the guts to call into question my logical deductions  .No wonder you scums have a way of makin rational conclusions by us gooners look like rocket science. Bro, the fact that you have found little or no success trying to master the english language is no good reason to come out here and embarrass yourself.

Sorry dude, but I refuse to spar with you for the simple fact that as educationally malnourished as you depict yourself to be you will without fail, be completely incapable of assimilating and deciphering my intelligent postulates.

don't know when Nigerians will try and reason and not gulp any nonsense been forced through our throats.

A VC of a reputable school once told me when i enquired why they were not listed as one of the best unis,

He said what criteria did they used, his school and any other in naija was at no point contacted about an ongoing rating by any organization

so what basis is their rating , Alexa web, google rating or what?

we should try and embrace our own brains here and not the rubbish been carried around.
yeah, i agree with ya. very correct
but watch your grammar Unilag boi. grin grin grin
interesting. lmao

@Debosky
facts?
i don't have facts, the only one we have is the webometrics

this thread wouldnt have survived in the first place if we aint biased. . .
like i said, we all are celebrating our schools

if you check my earlier posts about the rating, i quickly added that most schools on that list cant even compete with yabatech and Ilaropoly. how can we compare UNI of Mogadishu with OAU? lailai

But, lemme quickly say this, no matter what you guys use to rate schools in 9ja
OAU will always be better than UNILAG

na unilag u go? abajo

@Debosky

ooops!! i had to read 5 times to understand ur point
Rossi? Rossi was never a professional player when UTD bought him so what laws/rules did United flout

Now we are talking about someone who just signed a 5 year contract and suddenly wants to run to another team cos they are offering more.

My grouse isnt with Ronaldo cos im one of the people who feels if he wants to leave, with the right price, he should GO

This Thread is about a certain FIFA President likening the Ronaldo saga to a modern slave trade. . .
what does that make the old man? The temperature of the controversy has already risen several degrees and its moral compass is spinning wildly. Normally, any FIFA President should be cautious in making such an outrageous statements on air. and i bet it, its not about United, its about all other clubs who will feel let down that der star player can leave at anytime without any prior warning

i just hope and pray for another EPL team to win the UCL and they will shut der trap for life!!!

its actually crazy for Blatter to take sides with players who will discard any form of contract after 12 months of signing when better offer comes. This is definitely at loggerheads with his responsibilities to the game of soccer
i think FIFA should henceforth look inwards b4 presenting mad people to govern soccer

first it was the illegal quota system
now its about players jumping ship even 3 months into a contract
madness!!

There are just 3 schools recognized in Nigeria
OAU 58 in Africa
LBS
UI 100 in Africa

where is UNILAG on the list?

Hello Pips
Read this article online and I just had to copy and paste here for ur views.
I think Sepp Blatter is the most stupid football admin the round leather game has ever had. He should be sent packing!!!

Former England star Paul Parker has slammed Sepp Blatter for insisting Manchester United should let Cristiano Ronaldo leave, labelling the FIFA president’s comments as ‘disgraceful’…

Blatter caused a stir by declaring that United’s refusal to sell Ronaldo to Real Madrid, and their further threat to punish the player’s disloyalty, amounted to “modern slavery”.

The Swiss went onto reveal that he hopes to combat such situations by enabling players the break off their contracts more freely – a motion which, if passed, would have an enormous impact on the transfer landscape.

The idea is likely to meet with huge opposition from clubs the world over, and Parker insisted the plan would leave clubs all but powerless to hold onto their star players.

Disgraceful

“What Blatter is saying is players can join a new club every year, whatever their contract situation,” the ex-United defender said in The Sun. “That is a disgraceful statement for the president of FIFA to make.

“Players already have so much freedom and power. Why should they be allowed to walk out on a five-year deal after just 12 months? It isn’t right.

“His ridiculous idea could ruin the game. How are clubs supposed to budget if their players could walk out at any time? I reckon they would have to put up ticket prices to allow for this and that could drive fans away.”

Daft

This is not the first proposal of Blatter’s to have met with stinging and widespread criticism; his infamous ‘6+5’ quota scheme, deemed illegal by the European Union, is still hanging in the balance.

And Parker believes Blatter should be ditched once and for all in favour of someone who has experience within the game, pointing to UEFA president Michel Platini as an example of what FIFA should look for in their new chief.

“It isn’t the first time Blatter has come out with some daft statement,” he said. “His comments show he really hasn’t got any idea about football. It’s time FIFA followed UEFA’s lead and appointed a visionary from a football background.”

nothing wrong in CQ accepting to coach Portugal. Its honourable to be recognized by ur home country and moreso to coach them at the mundial. Its way more logical than Ronaldos move to Real.

If he wants to leave, let his federation cough out the compensation for United and we move on.
heard SAF is considering benitez's former number 2. thats crazy
i'll prefer Cantona!! Lol
