@Lawuyi Chief, an emerging market like Nigeria may benefit from the strengthening of exchange-traded and over-the-counter markets. without what im gonna listed below, i doubt if we'll be able to pull it through > Provision of an enabling environment - including an adequate legal and regulatory framework >Structure on ground to protect counterparty risk in these markets > and also structure to improve transparency and disclosure. If all these are in place, we should be able to introduce derivaties at an early stage in our development, as we would not have to wait until cash markets are liquid enough to support an exchange-traded derivaties market |

lawuyi:Lawuyi nice one for looking out for guys here AMCON? u want guys to debate? lol good, maybe you should go to the Investment Banking and Finance thread and lets jaw jaw ![]() since ure an oga patapata, i dont mind learning from you i actually think its a step in the right direction as most of the toxic debts hindering the recuperation of these banks will be put to bed the whole thing is to engender smooth credit to the real sector which has been neglected for a while upside- i expect the capital market to feel the upbeat and probably affect the volatility and hitherto , guys like us can start sening our toro kobo back to the market. i also expect the amscon deal to boost the confidence of some of th ailing banks as they can now do some more risky deals im sure you know some of these banks have practically closed lines to even compelling biz cases that abound. all in all, i expetc new lines to open up, rescucitation of the cap market, the instilling of investing confidence to the general citizenry, creation of wealth and most importantly, the sustainance of the mid class which is fast eroding as a result of the bust. lets see how it goes@Tolulop yeah, add me on YIM the same email addy but babes, u try ooo haba, u go sabi book die ![]() |
