the sense is that if no one gives then they have to find the nearest social service, But they have to make sure the care home are properly managed.

Lol! Was the white man colonized for 100 years by Yoruba people? The main reason Africans speak English and French is because of European colonization not by choice. You're comparing apples to oranges. Obviously this girl has been "colonized" by some nigerian dudes, why Titilayo, the name her "colonial master" gave her. |

Good one Ajanlekoko, but u have also succeeded in changing the natural course of event, but somehow its been "derailed". so the last part of the prediction is very true. beejaei: Who are the NL intellectuals?
By the way, I disagree with Ms. Adichie. I believe that we have to tell all stories even the negative ones. We do not have an obligation to treat the positive stories as more important or more representative than the negative stories. If we are denying our problems, how do we solve them? She meant the same as you, to "look" at the problem from all sides. |

proudly9ja: I don't think its fair posting this story on the front page. I mean I could have someone I don't like and come to NL to write a false story about him just to give him bad rep (I'm not saying that's the case here).
Mentioning the name of the hospital can ruin the hospital and send many into the labour market which will be totally wrong especially if the story is not true. he has not posted his name yet, we're waiting for that. |

I think this is not a timely proposition, first they should make the guys at alaba, kano and even market people to have cash machine where one can use ATM card without fear of "yahoo". Obiagu1: They will care when people complain they've no electricity to make transactions, the internet is too slow, etc. If the government can't cope, then the policy will be scraped. Nigeria is so fu.cked up though. I had to modify, I totally forgot what impact electricity and internet has on this proposal. |

Pearlsome: I can see that many people are opposed to the idea and that shows that Nigerians even the young ones are not innovative in their thinking sometimes. Even before ATMs were deployed, I remember everyone saying, Ha, it won't work, Nigerians are illiterates and they won't be able to operate it. I think this is a brilliant effort which looks a bit similar to what it is in Brazil. The idea just has to be well looked upon and developed where possible. Well done Dont mind them, people are quicker to identify faults but slow to see the ingenuity in the idea. this system is not totally dependent on the phone number but on the personal code you get during registration. there is no perfect system but with a little "patch" here and there we could come out with a viable solution. I still think the idea of an SSN would do alot to reduce this virus. |
