It's no longer a news that the deadline for the use of old naira notes is 31st of this month. In makurdi benue state most traders in wadatta market, wurukum market and okada riders have made the old naira notes (invalid) not a legal tender. They are rejecting it today Friday 27th January. I also went to get some fuel at jacykal filling station iyakyo, and the pump attendants were busy saying with a loud voice "we no dey collect old money"..
Share ur view in your location. But surprisingly UBA bank new otukpo road as at Tuesday were still dispensing old notes.

My wife abuses me physically, psychologically and even spiritually.. these are some of my pains..
1. She stopped me from performing any conjugal afffair when she was 3months pregnant till now. Our son is 1yr some months now.

3. Death threats 3 times, when I told her family she brought a defense that she only say that in her anger state.
4. Out of same anger she went out naked bfo ppl in my compound n rain curses on me.
I sent her back to her parents. After some days She went and made some crocodile cries before my parents and now my parents and that of her's are calling to beg, telling me she has repented. Now my family are telling me to err is Human and forgiveness is divine. Am running for my life but my friends are equally saying I shd let go the past.
My fellow nairalanders, i made a promise to make my self and parents proud.. pls advice a brother.

Pls guys my family and I have scheduled a visit to my distinguish senior friend who is a serving senator in my state. For security reasons I may not indicate names and place of visit but it's in makurdi the Benue state capital. We will be discussing how I will head a team of medical professionals to carry out a free medical outreach in our zone. My major problem is the etiquette my wife and I should observe. As for my little soldiers, they are kids so I careless of there behavior around the house.
1. Can my wife or I ask for an extra meal?
2. How many slices of bread should we eat during breakfast?
3. Should my wife assist in the kitchen?
4... Pls add some basic etiquette we should observe bcoz the truth is, this is the 1st time I will pay a high profile visit.. help a nairalander out

Am not proud to have lived such life but many of us are guilty of it. After my second year studying medicine and surgery in the the university, all the tenant my parents gave me went off board. I resat anatomy and biochem 1st mb then path afterwards. That life has its good and adverse effects.. pls let's advise the up coming stars in the house..

Am enjoying every bit of my marriage but the only problem am having is the case of my mother inlaw's excessive demands.
My wife and I are blessed with two kids. I realized that she has being the one giving her mom clues as to when I have money because we operate a joint account. I have tried talking to her peacefully but she mostly over discuss our conversation with the mom? How can I resolve this without painting my self black before her people?

Threat to blackmail.
Pls I really need help from this family of mine( nairalanders)..My name is Dr Jacob working with a very popular hospital which specialises on IVF among other medical services in one of the middle belt states. I briefly cought a very serious fever with both cold and sudden rise in temp was the order of the day. After a day medications I couldn't get any better so I did call my female neighbor to help me with little chores like making hot tea, light meals and buying some medications. While this lady was with me I actually gave her access to my phone and pin for my ussd as she needs to make little withdrawals to buy anything I need. I actually showed her my phone pattern as she also said she will like to get some movies from my phone. This lady went through every corner of the phone from gallery to inbox and sent items. my bank alerts wasn't excluded and realized we are often paid on the 25th except if it falls on weekends. During her surjourn in my house she actually took some pics around the setting room and the kitchen with my shirt on. In one occasion she did pass the night in my room and we shared the bed together but trust me guys with the temperature rise, parasympathetic nerves didn't send any messages to little Jacob and certainly no erection came into play. While i was all covered with duvet shivering, this helper of mine took some pictures revealing some nasty body parts of her's in my bed and the moment she cuddled me saying the cuddling may be of help to lower the body temp due to heat exchange. To cut the long story short she actually snapped me with towel when she kept bathing water for me to shower. Now with all the ammunitions she is got, she threaten to send both real and Photoshop clips to my fiancee which we are about to marry in less than a month saying we are in a romantic relationship. My mistake was, I didn't tell my fiancee that am ill coz I didn't know the ill health will go that far and she is working In a different state. Tomorrow is 25th I just received her call now asking me for 50k or she will activate the first step. Guys what should I do? Go to police? Or that will be too far a step. After gifting my so called helper #20000 and some raw foodstuffs as an appreciation. Pls I need ur advise who to handle this in a very civilised and professional way.

After suffering with hunger during this covid period my neighbor came to my house crying how his elder brother gave his share of food to their goat. I was left with no choice than to part ways with my hard earned 500 to this fellow. can I say the guy is wicked or he cares for animals??

In 2006 I sat for an examination in one popular school in benue state. IAM a core science student and I registered physics, chemistry among other 8 subjects. To my greatest surprised, during physics and chemistry practicals my name wasn't on the attendance list. surprisingly my name was called during literature and gov.. the school gave me all assurance that they wrote to WAEC and my physics and chemistry will be rectified because during those papers I wrote them even though my name is not on the attendance list. I was naive then, but am asking my well educated brothers and sisters in this platform. can I get a court case now n sue the school for breach of contract abi it's too late??

sometimes in our lives we are faced with challenging situations that we are completely handicapped. Not because we don't have the financial muscle or the technical know how but the timing is absolutely wrong. My girlfriend visited and the unexpected happened.. around 3:39 am her cry woke me up n my fellow brethren vuulaaa her menstrual flow started. she has acute dysmenorrhea (menstrual pains). All she kept saying was Doc pls give me any pain reliever in your room.. my case is note the different from asking a bank teller cash at a wrong time.. My house to the teaching hospital is Abit far so I can't drive there. I stared at the ceiling helplessly.. my fellow nairalanders pls what are the home remedies for painful menstruation? A 500L mechanical engineering students popularly called Queen (pic not real for anonymity sake) of the federal University of Agriculture makurdi abandoned her education against the will of her parents and friends in other to take care of the Dad of her supposed fiance who was also a 500L medical student at the University of Abuja by name Simon. I don't know what to call it, Love? stupidity or what ever deems fit. while we were both in 500l Simon's two sisters living in porthacort doing what I will tag #portslay mammas couldn't come to help take care of their Dad. Simon's dad is having anal and bladder inconvenience also hypertensive and diabetic. when peace out of love for her man saw how d fiance's dad condition was she opted out of school and became full house fiancee. Two years after house job my friend is saying peace is not his speck.. I am telling my friend if peace naked swear for am e go follow am oo but he is so adamant and is willing to announce marriage with a doc colleague of ours.. I just pray this Matt's as e small like ds no go end for murder or suicide case. worst of it little miss queen don gv d idiot a baby girl of 3yrs now n a boy of 9month.. As for me no harsh feelings I no go be him best man even as he is even threatening our relationship if I no gree b best man. Na by force to be best man?

IAM a final year student of B.sc physiology at the Benue state University makurdi.. pls aside lecturing or teaching where can some with Bsc physiology work? I remembered asking one among my lecturers this same question all he told me was I should be thinking of what my brain will fetch me aside education.. is my 4yrs + 1 ASUU and covid19 yrs in sch a waste? also considering an average Nigerian HV no godfather. I need ur advice my nairaland family..

I sincerely commend the FG initiative in trying to assist the less privilege due to the ongoing covid19 pandemic but the government is completely bias in it sharing formula.. looking at the picture on social media during the disbursement of fund one can clearly see the woman receiving the fund is not really poor as compare to the poor people we know and see in our country..
The same government say lock down stay at home is still saying they are sharing funds..
I strongly suggest the government with collaboration of our commercial banks to verify people with less than minimum wage balance in their bank account and the stipends giving to them. most market women now have bank accounts because they do collect loans from microfinance banks.
Students at home equally need this stipends.

I am really amassed how we do encourage hard work and great academic performance in my Darling country Nigeria. During weddings or naming ceremony of high profile political cabals in Nigeria you will be amused on hearing the mouth watering sum people do donate. But when u study medicine and surgery in Nigeria after spending 6years of hard studies and intense reading all u can get as a reward of your hard labour n encouragement to others is an amassing #10,000 only... when i saw all the best graduating medical students jst #10000, i now askes myself what really are our educational system telling us?

The academic staff union of the Benue state university has called off its 3month old industrial action. the strike was as a result of Benue state gov inability to offset their outstanding allowances. The school is to resume on monday 24 July.

Some time last year when we were writing our 1st professional MB exams we were so amazed when we learnt that the H.O.D of anatomy college of health sciences, Benue state University Makurdi. prof Linus S. Chia asked the about to be employed lecturers to tell him the name of the recently discovered muscle in the human body. The muscle is called Tendon of vastus intermedius. It is located deep in the thigh slightly above the knee but deep to the rectus fermoris. The pictures below will help the non medical oriented people understand it better
