Hello, Would it look or seem funny if my brother decides to employ me, so I'll get employment letter , study leave letter and payslips from him. Starting from now, I'll ask him to deposit certain amount of money in my account, every month as the salary so I can submit an Soa. ( trying to tackle personal assets, current employment situation, limited prospects and length of proposed stay) OR
Do I get all these from the company where I work as a trainee , i.e employment letter, study leave letter and payslips but No Soa ? I can submit payslips without SOA right?
Note: I might not reapply anytime soon, so I want to take my time to do it well and get it right? |

pyzdan: i put employment letter, study leave letter, payslips and company I D card yet the mentioned personal assets and financial status. to me getting trv depends on the vo attending to one's application, some over look certain things while some dont. God will see all us through I think so too.. Its all about the VO handling the case and God. I'll call for my file, the reasons are too many, I need to know what exactly went wrong and how to adjust. |

Amefrica: Damn. This is so heartbreaking After that long wait? Chai! I'm so sorry. I read through the documents you submitted and their reasons for refusal. I think;
* You should submit an employment letter, if you reapply. Telling them you are idle is a red flag.
* Write a more convincing SOP, stating how long you intend to stay in Canada and your plans after graduation.
* Hope you're not going for something less than your Bsc?
* ...and lastly, fill the online forms accurately. It can go a long way in determining the outcome of your application.
-Prayer, Persistence, and Perseverance. (P3)-
I wish you success. Thanks for your input. 1. I didn't state that I was idle, I work as a trainee, and I submitted a reference letter from my place of work to that effect, its also stated in my CV and filled forms. 2. I'll work on the sop 3. Going for a post graduate diploma 4. Will do that again Thanks |

double08: You need to add employment letter. Showing u ve been idle is a red flag. My first app was denied becos of dat amongst other reasons. If u have been selling akara or Indian hair or mary kay, tell dem and add proof.
Or better still have ur brother "employ" you in this company, get a letter of employment and intro from him and payment stud even if it's ur first month salary. Bottom line is it shows u re not IDLE
Then hope u re not going for diploma, only xtremely lucky peeps that got dier trv while going for a diploma after bagging a BSc.
Include ur account statement too even if it's 1 naira that's dere.
If u have any certification course aside ur BSC, include it too,any certificate at all and lastly write a good SOP then I think you are good to go.
One more thing if u want to apply via paper route answer the questionnaire very well, that sure helps a lot like 50 percent in my opinion.
God speed. 1. I didn't state that I was idle, been working its not just a paid job, as a graduate trainee. 2. I'll see about getting an employment letter from my brother starting from now. 3. I'm going for a post grad dip 4. I can do short courses sha, but when I do I hope I won't now be over qualified? Thanks a milli |

The support and kind words have been overwhelming, a very big thank you to everyone, i appreciate.. Truth is I don't know how to be depressed or sad, I end up in the hospital anytime I try it. I just want everyone to help on how to refire, no more sorry about your delay o, it has passed. That was yesterday. Lol ... 1. So someone said Cuz I don't have a paid job, well I don't, so what do we do about it? I've seen people without job get TRV's. 2. I believe they're okay with my sponsor, the problem is with me. So I need everyone's help.
Thanks |

abisolmi: Hi tnuola, so sorry about the delay. I know Chrigo once listed necessary documents for companies. If you can find it, it might be helpful. Did you submit your brother's tax returns too? Thanks. I'll look for it. No I did not submit his tax returns |

ManTiger: This your document bam gaan o. Honestly, you over-merit the visa. Seen peeps here who chop trv with lesser doc nah.
Just dust it off and re-strategize. You know how it is when we plan something and God is planning something else. Il def reapply as soon as possible, next start date is September. |

akanni: @Tnuola (quote) Reasons given : 1. Travel history 2. Length of proposed stay in Canada 3. Purpose of visit 4. Limited employment prospects in your country of residence. 5. Your current employment situation 6. Your personal assets and financial status
I think the fact that you don't have a full time job is a negative. You can afford not to come back. You might need to get assets to include next time maybe from you parents. Length of proposed stay, are you sure you actually uploaded the admission letter and it was legible? finally, your SOP must make sense, especially the current employee situation, employment prospect, etc must be in the SOP. My thoughts and all the best. I applied via paper route and my admission letter was included. Thanks |

toecyne: my conversation with someone made me understand that they(visa officers) assume people above 24 yrs are working or do should av a financial prowess I doubt it especially if the person is a fresh graduate. Opsynusy graduated not too long ago. |

1. Please if you can make sure it is stated in the recommendation letter that you will be coming back to work for them after your studies.
2. Pls add your CV
@Opsynusy your documents looks really good from where I see it. I hope more experienced peeps can add one or two things. |

mrnilobrawn: Way too long along with newbie2014 & akinmoj. Tho hav'nt heared from both quit sometime....mayb they ar already in Canada.
Dear, have you tried sending them an email lately? Am worried for u.
I pray it all comes out positively. I'm worried for me too.. If I mail them what will happen? They'll say its still within their processing times ( that 21weeks whatever on their site). I remember when blink6 went to vfs after he passed his meds and no update afterwards, they were told to wait. I'm praying that whatever comes will be positive.. I have this mindset that everything happens for a reason, so that has helped me to pray rather than worry. |

mrnilobrawn: I still believe that paper route is currently faster.......base on the progress here. Virtually every1 is now going for online submission, that leaves fewer app being treated for those that applied via paper. Except for Tnuola case. Joe980 did paper on Nov 1.. He has long travel to canada. Likewise others that got delayed after 5-6 weeks where paper route. Those that submited way ahead of them through online ar stil here waitin for medical or pp request. Online route has become quit clumsy.... I think my case is quite special, its taking too long.. I hope I can take whatever comes off the long delay |

berexio1: As regards the last sentence, I was speaking from a general perspective(overall). If u understand..Your best bet is to stick with the average processing time stated on the website. It is good to also check with nairalanders here, bt note that they don't represent the entire number of peeps who apply for this.. Well I actually did speak based on the awaitees list we keep here. If you had been following for like 3months you'd understand too. |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by tnuola(f): 11:34am On Jan 09, 2015 |
berexio1: Paper route averages 3 months processing time at this time...Processing times changes depending on volume of work at the said time..I think online has been more consistent.. Just before I applied the paper route took about 6/8weeks same as online, for now both routes aren't consistent. |
