Romance / Re: MEN Are To Be Blamed For Female Gold Diggers by tny60(f): 12:23am On Dec 31, 2012
Aigbofa:

Obsessed with money when the subject is about gold digging? You are right about incompatibility though, but that is often not very important when the relationship is not based on love, but rather on what each party can gain from the other. In this case money, and or se.xx.

yes now. just based on your post.
exactly. it's all about what each party can gain from each other.so why should it be the woman that always get labelled the LovePeddler or gold-digger?
we live in a very sexist society I must say.
Romance / Re: MEN Are To Be Blamed For Female Gold Diggers by tny60(f): 12:08am On Dec 31, 2012
Aigbofa:

Men will chase you anyway whether you are hot or not, that is how God and nature intends it to be. If you see that as way to make money, that is your own choice. And there's nothing like a sub-par man, somebody who is poor today can become stupendously rich in future, but of course a gold digger is always blind to this reality.
As for gold digging not being a career, you will be hard pressed not to think it is the way some women trade their dignity for a pittance.

you didn't read my post.
because if you did,you will see that the sub-par man i'm referring to is RICH. I guess incompatible is a better word to use than sub-par.

you seem to be more obsessed with money than the women you are accusing.

Find Out!:
Verdict: Seun hosted/attended a x-mas party this evening and is currently dosed on some -heavily laden with alcohol- punch. In essence, he's high.lol. Had to check the user name again to be sure he was the one who typed this

Seun, I think you need to do this more often - ENTERTAIN US! You are very creative (obviously) & you seem to me as someone who's really humorous but hardly shows it. We want to see that side of you! [s]But when the ladies start flocking towards you in droves, dont blame me o[/s] grin

Seun can get away with things like that. He owns the website
very soon you will see all his posts on this thread have become "this post has been hidden" grin
infact, this topic might even be obliterated.

I agree though that he has a sense of humor grin
Romance / Re: MEN Are To Be Blamed For Female Gold Diggers by tny60(f): 11:24pm On Dec 30, 2012
Aigbofa:

Not all women are gold diggers obviously. Gold diggers know themselves and they don't usually deny it despite your vociferous defense. One more correction; Gold diggers are not interested in your potential to be rich, you either have the goods or you don't.

gold-digging is not a career or profession. Most of the so called "gold-diggers" were CHASED after by the men. they didn't purposefully go digging for any gold. Besides, if there is no demand, there won't be supply.

usually it is caused by ugly or inadequate men who feel that because they are rich, they deserve a beautiful or hot woman. the money in this case is just a bribe used to convince a beautiful woman to date a sub-par man. why blame a girl for using a man's money when the reason he is dating her in the first place is for her hot looks. aren't they both using each other?

do you think Bianca would have agreed to marry Ojukwu if he wasn't a powerful, wealthy man? Or do you think a rich man like Ojukwu would have married Bianca if she looked like ayamatanga? so what should we call this couple? gold-digger and what?

why do we have a abusive name for the woman but none for the man?
Romance / Re: MEN Are To Be Blamed For Female Gold Diggers by tny60(f): 10:45pm On Dec 30, 2012
to me this is just a symptom of guys reaching above their level.

if an ugly or old man want to date a beautiful or young woman, he has no chance naturally because they are on different levels. the beautifully young woman is not naturally attracted to such an old or ugly man. but when money comes into the equation, it levels the playing field so that the beautiful woman agrees to date the ugly man. money in this case is used as a bribe to woo the lady who wouldn't otherwise be interested.

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with this. In fact, there is a positive in it because it encourages men to work hard. ie. work hard, make money, and you will get the woman of your dreams. type thing. but why the woman is being abused and portrayed as a gold-digger is beyond me.

so the point is:
society is so sexist that we have abuses and derogatory words for women. But no such word exists for a guy.
we have a word for prostitute but no word for a guy that patronizes a prostitute.
we have a name for a gold-digger but where is the word for a guy that's chasing after an arm-candy rather than find true love or date on his level?

a rich man is to a woman what a beautiful woman is to a man. end of story.

My dear, I don't believe in Obatala. I am just using it as sarcasm. That should be obvious. I am an atheist. I don't believe in any supernatural being. Obatala, Sango, Zeus, Jesus, Heaven, Jehovah, etc are all fiction.

I have read Hebrews 11. Faith is not evidence. If Christians don't have to provide evidence for heaven, then that means that anyone can come up with any concept and, consequently, hold it as truth.

I find it interesting that you would question me about demanding a proof about heaven. Shouldn't one ask questions and seek evidence about claims? Are we to just gulp down everyone statement simply because some folks said so? Haba!

My dear, don't let the magniloquent words fool you. I am not at all a smart guy. Nevertheless, one does not have to be smart to know that there is no such thing as God.

well, when did you become atheist? and how old are you?
i don't have the skills to argue with you about religion but you don't need scientific proof of God. none exists and you will not find it.
when you open your eyes and heart, you will find God.

Obatala will save you if you give your life unto Him. Accept him as your Lord and savior and He shall reward you. As for heaven, the onus of proof is upon you. You spoke about heaven, hence, you are the one who should provide the evidence. My proof is simple: NO ONE HAS SEEN HEAVEN BEFORE.

so, where have you seen obatala before? and why are you using christian language to talk about obatala?
"give your life unto him. accept him as your lord and savior"
is this how obatala worshippers speak?

and why are you looking for proof of heaven? haven't you read Hebrews 11?
imagine i was thinking highly of this guy with all his big grammar and computer stuff. that's what happens when people get too smart. they want to outsmart God.

berem: It seems it has become a new trend for some men to request for their spouse to be to be pregnant fIrst before the proper marriage takes place.I have had the opportunity to ask about 20 yet to be married men and 15 of of them wants their wives to be to get pregnant first.I also asked them why they wanted it,I was shocked when they all said "I don't trust nigerian girls these days".
I have a cousin who is gonna be 34years by next year and she is not yet married. There is this guy she was introduced to for marriage but the man gave her condition that she must get pregnant first. My cousin being a very stubborn lady refused and said she will never get pregnant before marriage. Her mum has been worried because of her age and also being the first daughter.
My main worry now is that her mum wants me to advise her on what to do.Right now am confused.I don't know what kind of advice to give.Should I advise her to get pregnant or wait for the right time? Am really scared the guy might leave her if she refuses to get pregnant first.

she's 34 so she can't be picky at this point. If she can find someone else she should. otherwise, let her get pregnant.
but i'm sure it will hurt the marriage in the long run because she will be resentful of the whole thing.

If I were her,at such an age, I will be aiming for older divorced/widowed men because:
1. he'll probably already have kids and the pressure will be less for her to get pregnant
2. she will look young in comparison

Exactly!
Its pure crap.
Even this year my great grand mother died in her ninties.
They just make silly assumptions and reach unreasonble conclusions.
As nigerians we know through experience that the average man in naija lives up to his late sixties.

Infant mortality is a key factor in the statisics.
remember it's "average life expectancy" so, in other words, they're counting all the little babies too.
ex. if a child dies a age 4 and you great grand mother died at 98. take the average of the two numbers and you get 51 grin
so now you understand how they calculate average life expectancy
