by Shymm3x: 8:57amLMAO Funny but true.Southern Nigeria is full of cowards. |
This is a cheap lie. Buhari made a lot of promises that most Nigerians have not started to jugde his government based on those promises he made during his campaign . Without playing to the gallery, most Nigerians know that irrespevtive of wether those promises were made ingood faith or not, most of the promises he made requires some amount of time to start bearing fruits. True. There are but simple promises that do not require time at all. These kind of promise when kept builds trust and confidence in a system which is already used to broken promises especially when the person making the promise made it based on CHANGE. Buhari have done what is required by the law og the land. GOOD. But however, If during his campaign he never promised to declare his asset publicly, Buhari should never be held accountable based on that promise. That for me is the crux of the issue and the basis of CHANGE. But he did promise it Nigerians know that there is no law that requires Public office holders in Nigeria to declare there assets publicly (pls correct me if am wrong). And if buhari still made such promise, he should have never wasted time to declare his assets publicly wbich would have been a mega plus to his anti-corruption stance and indirectly building a degree of trust among Nigerians. Conclusively, buhari do not need the National assembly to declare his assets publicly like he promised. The other campaign promises he made which are extremely challenging which needs the backing of the National assembly and the laws of the land will be an herculean task for buhari to keep. |
PDP, APC and other parties are all thesame. Parties who love the status quo but quick to point accusing fingers at each other as the next election approaches. I strongly agree with some of Fashola´s point, but what i really do not understand is in the areas controlled by his party why some of these ideas and philosophies have not been applied to change the lives of the people residing in those areas. This change can start from only one Lga and spread to other areas. I do not have any pity for all you supporters of PDP; APC because you all need to be used and dumped to start all over again. PDP is preaching Transformation while APC is preaching Change. Show me just one State PDP have succeeded in transforming and also show me one State changed by APC. The bottomline is nothing transforms and nothing changes. As long as the parties do not have an ideology the status quo reigns supreme. Nigerians, we are all in for a very long hopelessness. PDP is a failure in my own calculations even a mega failure, they have always been anyway. APC had its opportunity but blew it before they could even realise they had one. Nigerians, none of the parties in the present dispensation will transform or bring the desired change. We have seen all this before. Be wise Nigerians. |
My opinion though. The federal government is corrupt so also is the State and Local government. All State and Federal judiciary are also not free from corruption. We all know that Nigeria is a very corrupt country. It is a fact. Why the country wil remain so corrupt for a very long time before it becomes a nation is as a result of educated corrupt criminals llike Falana who is expected to speak when they should but do not as long as it does not benefit his stomach. As a Senior Advocate of Ngeria, Falana should be able to know who and which office is responsible for providing security for judges and around court buildings. He should be able to tell us why the chief security officer of Ekiti state failed in providing adequate security for Ekiti indigenes especially in a case inolving touts and thugs. My Falana was quick in absolving the sta te police because 'they have been compromised' and on the other hand calling on the Inspector general of POlice to carry out investigations. Can he please tell us how he knows that the State police have been compromised? And if he knows that they have been sold out, whaat makes him feel that the Inspetor General of police is also not compromised. The only worthy thing which is also worthless in the long run is his attempt to play the 'we vs them, federal vs. state, 'pdp vs apc' card that is full with hate and division . At the end nothing changes. People will continue to die, judges will continue to receive beatings, thugs will continue been in power and elected because we are living in a country where criminals make and break the law. Instead of people who claim to be educated use their education to enlighten the people to fight the root cause of the problem and devise ideas on how to start building a solid foundation for our children they waste so much time been unproductive Well SAN Falana, you have been around for a long time. Have you sincerely observed any positive changes in our judiciary and prison since you where cslled to the bar? No, I guess you will say. If I may ask what justice do you intent to acheive by calling on the Inspector General of police to start with? The judiciary is filled to the brim with cases of the indigenes of ekiti who are still waiting for trial and who have lost their lives in prison. The judiciary all over the states of the federation are stinking with high levels of corruption and irresponsibilities that the most shameful action a honest and corrupt free SAN will do is to bury his head in the sand working only for his benefits and pointing accusing fingers to those he feels uncomfortable with. |
There are more questions begging for answers. In a sane society, everyone who went to the court would have been arrested because they are all thugs and criminals who accepted bags of rice in exchange for their souls. The jugdes , the police, governor elect including the sitting governor will definitly be in jail for failiing to carryout there primary reponibilities and for also usurping their responsibilities. Since when did the police fail to recognise thugs masquerading as supporters (of what exactly) who already sold their souls for bags of rice to beseige the court premises. Why should a judge ursurp the duties of the police by telling a criminal governor elect to call his thugs to order instead of the police? Is it the job of a jugde or the police to bring orderliness in such situation? Does the incumbent governor who is the chief security officer as stated in the constitution aware of his responsibilities? Anway our country is not a saane society because everyone seems to profit from the ruin of chaos and anarchy which have long been estsblished in our daily lives as a result of a faulty political ideology. The Nigerian Newsmedia are mediums used to sink the destiny of nigeria deeper into despair and hopelessness by promoting violence and hatred in the minds of the gullible and ignorants with junk reports. I pity us Nigerians. This is the type of Nigeria we all want and we continue to have it. |
Who will the youths look up to then. This is not about yorubas . We wonder why the country is the way it is. The most depressing thing about it is they are all in power and around it's corridors. |

I am humbled by the comments here. It gives me some hope that one day we will appreciate the need to take time to learn and understand our history . The so called IQ test is the biggest fraud perpetrated by insecure racists ever to walk the face of the planet. The human race have always been intelligent for the fact that we have been able to adapt to our natural environment for thousands of years. Adaptation is the oldest form of intelligence known to mankind and every race possess it. My point is that such test should be totally ignored. It's of no use. |
ROSSIKE: 9:52pmIt's really pathetic. |
@ba7man, Now you are asking a good question- what happened? That should be what we should be looking at. From there we can know where ,when and what we did wrong. But to say that we are still living in the past is not correct, for the past holds the key to our future. |
@ba7man, That is not the issue. He should start by telling us how he was able to become rich ,when and how it got bad. Remember he is not the only one today poor but many of his kind. If he does not share his knowkedge of how he was able to make it then,(anyway he lost all the methods and procedures he employed in attaining greatness) how can he help other ones? |
@Rossike, I am glad that there are people like you who are interested in the true history of Africa. It is very worrisome to hear from africans that our history happened in the past and we should not dwell on it. History is never old but provides an insight into current happenings and how to shape future occurence. Pls continue to educate the ignorant ones. Thx |
When we read the bible, it tells us that Adam and Eve were the first humans on earth. Anthropologists have long ago discovered that the first human on planet earth was found in Africa. When someone apply critical analysis and logic reason to the statement above, it will tell the type of education we have been receiving. I rest my case. |
Good! We have many elites and pundits, many professors, academicians etc. Are we not educated enough? Or what type of EDUCATION do we really need?Yes you are correct. We have many of those. But the education I am talking about is much more than that. It must involve a lot of analysis and logic. For example, we all know that 2 plus 2 equals 4. We accept it because the world has accepted it. In critical analysis, it must be proved that 2 and 2 is 4. But we forget that not only the number 2 and 2 can give u 4, but also 0 and 4, 1 and 3. |
''Poor leadership'' is an aftermath of lack of crittical analysis and logic thinking. So also is tribalism, corruption ,etc. Arosa already said the encompassing solution- EDUCATION. I totally agree with him 100 percent. |
Case of a slave mentality. |
A typical case of slave mentality. |
Nigerians, our politicians lack the intergrity, skills and foresight to fight corruption. Those in government and outside it makes no difference. The press is so unprofessional that their aim is non-existent thus the objective is long ago defeated. |
Lack of critical analysis and logic thinking. |
This is not a political conference of Political Parties but a conference to discuss and navigate the future of Nigerians by Nigerians. The outcome of such a conference should never be underestimated or be seen by any political party as a strategy to hold on to power. Anybody that accept that the proposed conference is mere diversionary and a waste of time is not being honest and lacks the intelligence to tap in to the numerous opportunities that will be available after such dialogue. What is politics without the voice of the masses being respected. What is the essence of having political parties who do not even know what the masses are yearning for. The National Conference that is being proposed by this administration have provided a great avenue to have an idea what Niigerians are expecting from them and in the long run establish an unbreakable bond of friendship and trust between them and the masses. The voice of the masses are thesame. From the East to West, North to South , the masses are singing thesame song. Who says that the masses in the Northern part do not want to be involved in a National dialogue. In these regard, I must say that we must make a clear distinction between the Northern elites and the Northern masses. The opposition to the conference from this region comes only from the oligarch and NOT from the masses who are afraid to forfeit the political and economic powers they have attained over the years using thesame masses as tools for their selfish interest. If there are oppositions to the conference from the West, East and South, thesame reason as stated above is attributable. I am not a fan of PDP, APC or any other Party but someone with a lot of interest in the development of Nigeria as a whole. I believe the oppostion Parties have a lot to gain especially APC being the biggest opposition as at the moment if they for once look at the other side of the coin. No? Power lies with the people but most are not aware of it. Make them know these fact. If only the opposition Parties are critical and logical and above politics, the masses will look up to them. |
Sometimes, I wonder who we are trying to run down and lift up by defending shit as can be seen in almost all the South East states. Who are we defending and who are we crucifying .Criminals who have hijacked the system in the name of democracy and forced the Igbos to defend shit while the other Igbos are forced to leave their region in search of better means of livelihood. Shame. I think we the Igbos have lost it totally. |
