No Covid test was asked or even hinted at in Lagos, just carry money with you for the massively increased bribes that will be demanded of you at the Lagos airport by the shakedown specialists in uniform.

Hello All,
Arrived UK today 10th Oct. Ethiopia airlines( no covid test required). At the point of entry, I was asked which school, course, is husby planning to stay( he answered no but went further to explain that he needs to be there to help with our accommodation and school for the kids. He said he plans to be on and off) . He was asked how long he intends staying and hubby said about a month to 6 weeks. Depending on covid.

Would love to know which other nairaland platform I can graduate to to help with life as a UK post graduate student. Any links? Thank you again house .

Yes i did from TSL today and i checked on uk gov yesterday saw your document has been transferred to Vac. That is the tracker for my application linked to Tsl website.

It has been a long journey!
With 2 visa refusals from US and Canada for me, 4 visa refusals for my hubby (2 from US alone this year)...it was a journey full of faith, prayers and determination. So many errors along the way, issues with my hubby's passport made us do a new passport within a week. It was a mental hurdle for us all but thank GOD it finally ended in PRAISE!!

With this, I draw the curtain on my constant commentary here as school work has started in earnest and I need to switch focus from applicant to student mode (LOL).

I pray for all those who are waiting, about applying or have applied..the same God that made ours a success in spite of everything, will do the same for you. Stay strong guys..the race is not to the swift nor to the strong but to him whom God shows mercy. I will miss you all but I gotta move on now..

Then the spouse can apply for a dependant visa but will also need to include legal proof of the marriage as well as evidence of a genuine and subsisting relationship i.e. Pictures, communication evidence etc.

I know someone that did his biometric 9th of September and his passport is ready for collection today. I believe the person that did biometric 8th will most definitely get his/her this week

The hand of God brought all our visas today, after interview questions like only me they go UK and sleepless nights of tracking and waiting for decision
Timeline
14th August: Main Applicant application
15th August: Dependants application
19th August: Dependants biometric
26th August: Main applicant biometric
27th August: Main applicant Interview
10th September: Application transferred to VAC
10th September: applicant at doorstep of TLS without receiving collection email , but collection mail latter came
10 September: All visas received.

Should I book a one way ticket or a return fare?

Today was my interview day(ikeja) while they were checking my documents to go in there was a lady that they were telling her that her interview was scheduled in two days time and not today and they asked her if she wants to pay for walk in. Also i was scheduled for 10am but i got in @ 9am and before 11am me and my wife we were done.

I saw some people outside when i got there. When i came out, they were still dere. So, I'm not sure. But they did not check their paper if mine was today. I just told them it was today and showed them the printout.

You can go with handbag, but it should not be too big. You will drop it in one waiting room. You are not allowed to use phones there, so u gonna have to switch it off
