NIGERIA AIR FORCE DESTROY TERRORISTS' GUN TRUCKS AS GROUND TROOPS KILL ISWAP - BOKO HARAM FIGHTERS Scores of Boko Haram-ISWAP terrorists have been killed , while their gun trucks were also destroyed in a well-coordinated joint operation of the air component and the ground troops in Gubio, Borno State.
at least four gun trucks belonging to the criminal elements were destroyed by airstrikes of a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) alpha jet while ground troops pursued and killed the fleeing terrorists.
The insurgents were killed on Monday after they encountered the military jet, sent to provide close-air supports to ground forces at Gubio.
Sources gathered that the ground troops at Gubio were initially confronting the invading terrorists when the NAF jet on a different mission was instructed to proceed to the Gubio axis.
“The NAF alpha jet, on sighting the Boko Haram-ISWAP fighters fleeing towards Damasak in four-gun trucks, rocketed their convoy and subsequently immobilized the occupants.
“After the aerial bombardments, some terrorists who were trying to escape on foots, were neutralised by ground troops.
“Apart from the destroyed gun trucks, items recovered from the terrorists included sophisticated guns, ammunition, fragmental jackets, jerry cans, bags of Indian hemp, sexual enhancement pills and exercise book containing Arabic text on how to make bombs.
Meanwhile, following reports of terrorists’ movements within Sambisa from Parisu through Njimiya axes, another military attack jet, which was quickly scrambled, intercepted the Boko Haram-ISWAP elements at a location and neutralized them in multiple airstrikes.
However, Sources says that the mission was successful.
The Theatre Commander, General Christopher Musa has commended the troops for the gallantry in the joint air and ground operation and charged them to remain dedicated in ensuring total annihilation of ISWAP-Boko Haram in their hideouts and enclaves.
Covert1: You have to believe it this Rooivalk attack helicopter is made in Africa, in South Africa. It actually meets the test just beset by South Africa's lack of political weight and costs.
the first pics is a Z10 While second is The Rooivalk
Covert1: Nigerian Navy Pilots Succesfully Conduct Blue Water/Deep Sea Search & Rescue Operation of A Stricken Vessel At Sea. This Is Not A Drill.
Wow! This just leaves you breathless. This is our own NN not the US Navy or Hollywood. The NN has had a run of breathtaking good news recently from industrial scale Naval Ship building to world class Search & Rescue Ops.
This Navy is making us proud at every turn from rescue of pirate victims at sea by NNSBS commandos to anti-BHT/ISWAP kill or capture operations by NNSBS Special Warfare Desert Operators to advanced Falcon Eye capabilities and now this. These things show what is possible with a powerful and peaceful Nigeria.
Lurker4Long: Can't confirm anything. I too rely on open sources. And yes, the Paramount Mwari has been deployed. Most likely by Moz, not Rwanda. In line with Moz currently acquiring lots of assets from Paramount.
I never knew an African country has already acquired the Mwari
iblawi: Super tucanos are based in Niger state which shares border with Benin Republic and Yola is in extreme east and it shares border with Cameroon. Yola has a drone base I guess.
yeahhhh 105 strike Group... Rarely seen on camera sef
QuietMynd: Na mouth dey dey take pass am. Na infantry ah wan make u dey. Imagine seeing toju in action against boko. As swear he go sweet die. Abi make ur video surface dey complain say na shakabula dem give u to face boko.
kikuyu1: I've searched but HAVEN'T found ANYTHING specific on how EXACTLY the jet was downed. It wasn't a SAM OBVIOUSLY and not an engine failure so I'm thinking a lucky shot, a 1 in a 1000 14.7 mm round fired blindly. Does anyone have the details?
obviously the bandits were lucky. They're several cases ISWAP and BHT fired at NAF platforms when they strike pretty much hard to hit and they get toasted
komekn: With regards to the bold nobody corrected me and a few others, we even brought out a gazzeted congressional document that stated $593 million for the total package. There is accountability in the USA its not shrouded in secrecy but made public if you look.
On the cost factors, i did a substantive contribution on the cost of 5 minutes of rapid fire from its cannons , look that up and you will not call anything about this aircraft cheap beyond the fuel.
The rest is your opnion although its not based on "BEST VALUE"
komekn: It becomes relevant because after 5 years in the waiting we are finally going to get the first 3 or so A-29 Super Tucano AT LAST, if we believe the press they are FINALLY on the way.
And maybe we might just get the next 9 this decade hopefully.
Maybe bitter truth is very hard for you to swallow and you prefer sugar coated lies and disinformation, the choice is yours.
first of all we're getting first 6 soon they've already left the US The Reason for the delay was because the US were been remodified The US said so themselves. And what "Bitter truth" are you talking about
Why is it paining you that we had to pay $400mil+ for Turbo prop planes. We've even corrected you we didn't pay $600mil And even the $400mil+ covers alot of things Modifications of the original A29 Two spare engines each Ammunitions Remodification of ACTG to fit the A29 Training of 60+ NAF personnel
The A29 was specifically built for CTCOIN operation close air Support,Air Interdiction,ISR The only disadvantage is speed plus it's speed it near the Aero L-39 if I'm not mistaking correct me here if I'm wrong
Despite the Fact it's turbo prop it's even more quiet than the alpha jet YES! It can deliver it's payload at a safer distance and altitude accurately It's ISR capability gives it an edge over most of the birds we have Instead of the ATR42 or kingAir To Conduct ISR and call in strike assets (Waste of fuel and time also plus putting the lives of alpha jet pilots on the line) the A29 will Easily do both eliminating it's target with Guided munitions Time and Fuel been saved. The wing loong two the other hand is a perfect platform I wasn't against it. So NG get both is a win win EOD!!!
komekn: How many moons ago did I raise this issue, not with assumptive sentiment based preference but substantively. Using "Best value" and best use of resources for the greatest impact and efficacy .
I got dogs abuse and a barrage of vitriolic rhetoric sent my way, with you mostly on the side of negativity.
Nigeria is facing an existent crisis and somebody is spending $600 million to acquire A-29 Super Tucano and add ons, for an aircraft that has taken 5 years or thereabouts for the 2/3 few to arrive. That incomprehensibly SHOCKING.
I also talked about the possibility of them being susceptible to rudimentary AA Fire from the plethora of enemy technical on the ground. Do not forget this is an aircraft that is supposed to be for CAS - close Air Support. The noise from the Tucano makes its presence well know before it even arrives on the battle scene it is much slower than an Alpha jet , so how safe is it for pilots, time will tell.
The USAF and NATO do not use any of these turbo prop aircraft beyond the experimental, I wonder why
I over flogged the comparison of the Wing Loong 2 UAV's nonetheless Pakistan has just bought 48 estimated cost plus munitions and technology transfer $65 million.
If 48 Wing Loong 2 UAV's were deployed in the North of Nigeria it would literally change the entire course of this war and reduce our casualties tremendously and with ground support almost end Boko Haram.
I dunno who abused you but I don't want to argue this again... Change topic pls
