Wow! This just leaves you breathless. This is our own NN not the US Navy or Hollywood. The NN has had a run of breathtaking good news recently from industrial scale Naval Ship building to world class Search & Rescue Ops.

This Navy is making us proud at every turn from rescue of pirate victims at sea by NNSBS commandos to anti-BHT/ISWAP kill or capture operations by NNSBS Special Warfare Desert Operators to advanced Falcon Eye capabilities and now this. These things show what is possible with a powerful and peaceful Nigeria.

Can't confirm anything. I too rely on open sources. And yes, the Paramount Mwari has been deployed. Most likely by Moz, not Rwanda. In line with Moz currently acquiring lots of assets from Paramount.

Super tucanos are based in Niger state which shares border with Benin Republic and Yola is in extreme east and it shares border with Cameroon. Yola has a drone base I guess.

It wasn't a SAM OBVIOUSLY and not an engine failure so I'm thinking a lucky shot, a 1 in a 1000 14.7 mm round fired blindly.
Does anyone have the details?

With regards to the bold nobody corrected me and a few others, we even brought out a gazzeted congressional document that stated $593 million for the total package. There is accountability in the USA its not shrouded in secrecy but made public if you look.

On the cost factors, i did a substantive contribution on the cost of 5 minutes of rapid fire from its cannons , look that up and you will not call anything about this aircraft cheap beyond the fuel.

The rest is your opnion although its not based on "BEST VALUE"

It becomes relevant because after 5 years in the waiting we are finally going to get the first 3 or so A-29 Super Tucano AT LAST, if we believe the press they are FINALLY on the way.

And maybe we might just get the next 9 this decade hopefully.

How many moons ago did I raise this issue, not with assumptive sentiment based preference but substantively. Using "Best value" and best use of resources for the greatest impact and efficacy .

I got dogs abuse and a barrage of vitriolic rhetoric sent my way, with you mostly on the side of negativity.

Nigeria is facing an existent crisis and somebody is spending $600 million to acquire A-29 Super Tucano and add ons, for an aircraft that has taken 5 years or thereabouts for the 2/3 few to arrive. That incomprehensibly SHOCKING.

I also talked about the possibility of them being susceptible to rudimentary AA Fire from the plethora of enemy technical on the ground. Do not forget this is an aircraft that is supposed to be for CAS - close Air Support. The noise from the Tucano makes its presence well know before it even arrives on the battle scene it is much slower than an Alpha jet , so how safe is it for pilots, time will tell.

The USAF and NATO do not use any of these turbo prop aircraft beyond the experimental, I wonder why

I over flogged the comparison of the Wing Loong 2 UAV's nonetheless Pakistan has just bought 48 estimated cost plus munitions and technology transfer $65 million.

If 48 Wing Loong 2 UAV's were deployed in the North of Nigeria it would literally change the entire course of this war and reduce our casualties tremendously and with ground support almost end Boko Haram.
