OPERATION LAFIYA DOLE: AIR TASK FORCE TAKES OUT BOKO HARAM ELEMENTS AT KOTE KURA, BULAMA ISAMARI IN BORNO STATE

1. In continuation of the series of Air Interdiction missions being conducted to rid the North East of the Country of terrorist elements, the Air Task Force of Operation LAFIYA DOLE has taken out more Boko Haram Terrorists’ (BHTs’) hideouts and eliminated several of their fighters at 2 locations - Kote Kura and Bulama Isamari - both in Borno State. The air strikes were executed yesterday, 2 January 2021, employing appropriate force packages of Nigerian Air Force (NAF) fighter jets and helicopter gunships based on credible intelligence reports indicating that the BHTs had recently established camps at the 2 settlements, where they store their logistics items as well as plan and launch attacks.

2. Overhead Kote Kura, a settlement in Bama area, the NAF attack aircraft engaged scores of terrorists observed in the target area, leading to the neutralization of several of them as well as the destruction of structures and logistics stores, some of which were seen engulfed in flames. In the same vein, at Bulama Isamari, within the Timbuktu Traingle, the NAF aircraft took turns in engaging the target, scoring accurate hits which equally resulted in the neutralisation of several terrorists.

3. You are please requested to disseminate this information, along with the attached declassified short video clip of the attacks, through your medium for the awareness of the general public. Thank you for your usual support and cooperation.

OPERATION LAFIYA DOLE: AIR TASK FORCE NEUTRALIZES ISWAP TERRORISTS, DESTROYS HIDEOUTS, LOGISTICS STRUCTURES AT TUMBUN GINI IN BORNO STATE

1. In continuation of its sustained onslaught against insurgents operating in the North East of the Country, the Air Task Force (ATF) of Operation LAFIYA DOLE has neutralized several Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) elements and destroyed their hideouts at 1Km North of Tumbun Gini on the fringes of Lake Chad in Borno State. This was achieved through air strikes executed yesterday, 30 December 2020, after series of aerial surveillance missions had indicated that the location, with structures and logistics items camouflaged under the dense vegetation, was being used as staging area where some ISWAP leaders and their fighters meet to plan and launch attacks.

2. Accordingly, the ATF dispatched a force package of Nigerian Air Force (NAF) fighter jets and helicopter gunships to attack the location in successive passes. The attack aircraft scored devastating hits in the target area, destroying some structures and neutralizing several of the ISWAP fighters while some survivors were seen fleeing the scene. Consequently, the fleeing ISWAP survivors were hit by second rockets and subsequently moped up.

Hopefully NAF makes a considerable follow-up order of JF-17s. Perhaps the Block 3 version.

3 units only of a fighter aircraft is a weird order.
possibly.

OPERATION LAFIYA DOLE: AIR TASK FORCE DESTROYS HIDEOUT, NEUTRALIZES SEVERAL TERRORISTS AT SAMBISA FOREST, BORNO STATE

1. Air interdiction missions being conducted by the Air Task Force of Operation LAFIYA DOLE have continued to deal decisive blows on terrorist elements in the North East of the Country. The latest of these was achieved yesterday, 28 December 2020, at the ‘S’ Region in the heart of the Sambisa Forest in Borno State.

2. The air strike, which was executed employing a force package of Nigerian Air Force (NAF) fighter jets, was carried out after series of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions revealed that the terrorists responsible for recent attacks in the Southern part of Borno and Northern part of Adamawa State had originated from the location. Accordingly, the NAF attack aircraft engaged the target area in successive passes, leading to the destruction of some of their structures and logistics stores, including a suspected anti-aircraft gun station as the terrorists fired at the NAF aircraft. Several insurgents were also neutralized in the process.

NuraSambo:
This sounds preposterous and smirks of incompetence. The responsibility of military intelligence is not to predict enemy attack alone, but most importantly to abort such before it even evolves.
One does not need to be a security expert to know that BH will hit hard during this festive period. That has been there modus operandi since the Christmas day bombing of the Catholic Church at Madalla about a decade ago.
So apart from 'warning' us about terrorists imminent attack, how many preemptive strike were carried out? how many preemptive arrest were made? It's in indictment on DSS that BH successfully carried out strings of attacks despite getting intelligence report about this.
DSS warned it was the job of NA to act on such intelligence Not DSS so the fault is on NA
