Politics › Re: Appeal Court Ruling: Does It Mean Ekweremadu Will Preside Over Screening On Wed? by tomakint: 5:38pm On Oct 19, 2015
NgeneUkwenu:
Following the failure of Saraki to get a reprieve from the Appeal Court today regarding his trial, it then means he will have his days in court on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Consequently, in his absence, the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremmadu will have to preside on Wednesday when the final batch of the ministerial nominees would be screened and possibly confirmed.

Interesting scenario... wink
Ekweremadu is already one leg in APC - FACT!

@Orikinla, I know you to be a lover of Buhari and a virulent critic of Jonathan but for you to come to this position makes me believe in the paradox 'foul is fair, fair is foul' as echoed by the witches in the book, Macbeth. Permit me to express my utmost respect to your straight-face disposition to issues and do remember that, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

Indeed, tougher days are ahead of this retired old General with men like Fayose around. Buhari is pretending to be in charge of affairs......I am afraid, he might end up being accused of what he and his Party condemned Jonathan for on the longrun. Kudos to Fayose on this one.

...What do u expect? Buhari was brought to power thru the proceeds of corruption..
...He has to compensate the corrupt devils one way or the other. This is the way the cookie crumbles, and this is how Nigerian politics is being played.

You have said it all, as much as I feel this age bracket is wrong for humans, what do you think could be practically wrong for this anomaly when in saner climes, adulthood is reached at 18 but to be real anything from 20 upwards is ok.......Nigeria need HELP!
Politics › Re: Petitions Can't Stop Amaechi's Screening And Confirmation - Senate by tomakint: 6:18pm On Oct 15, 2015
Indeed, Nigeria is back to business as usual, all those noise about change is just for dummies afterall......quote me anywhere, if Amaechi is made Minister of the Federal Republic, many Nigerians will never take Buhari's anti-corruption crusade serious. Buhari is about to mess himself up, to even think a Senate President with corrupt charges of that magnitude is still presiding over Senate affairs is alarming and laughable. What a pity! cry cry cry

babyfaceafrica:
are you serious...what makes saraki more powerful than tinubu and obasanjo?.......tell me what i don't know
What makes Saraki inflential this year is still obscure to me, he is as powerless as a Councillor in one remote village.....just mention one Bill he has influenced as a Senate President.....the OP lost me completely on this one. Shekau should be No 1 on that list because he is in charge of Security in Nigeria. Chief of Defense Staff? What?

The Child bride story has been debunked over a year ago. It was a koran reciting event or
There are rumors that the dude is dead 3 months ago, Another story that the Kurdish Pershmerga killed him few days ago. None of them verified. Suddenly, Putin propagandists want us to believe the Russians killed him.
I heard abt the death rumour of d dude too but it's a rumour the more reason I tend to stick with Putin's. Why? The Russians know them TOO WELL!
