Politics › Re: Saraki’s Implosion: A Shameful Public Servant by tomakint: 10:19am On Sep 26, 2015
Gbawe:
Your stance over the Saraki issue is really refreshing. I think Saraki would have been tolerated as SP, even as he was very corrupt, under Buhari's policy of "leave the bad ways behind and I will work with you". The nail in his coffin is the treachery and total disrespect for his Party. This quickly showed Buhari and others a sign of things to come. It revealed that Saraki is not interested in reforming. In short,
Simply put, Saraki is not smart....

Gbawe:
My brother, Saraki's position is untenable. Like I keep telling you, his act of treachery came early in the life of a new government and regime. This means there is plenty of time to nail him. As weak as GEJ was, he would probably have dealt with Amaechi if the former governor started fighting Jonathan one month after GEJ was sworn in as President in May 2011. Saraki's biggest mistake is to think it is still 'business as usual'.
This is IT!
Politics › Re: Saraki’s Implosion: A Shameful Public Servant by tomakint: 9:05am On Sep 26, 2015
I have been reading many brilliant articles on the Saraki's debacle but this one comes out the best......the writer truly chronicled the Genesis to Revelation of how not to jostle for what is not yours in the corridors of power in Saraki. The truth is, Saraki just wanted to be Senate President for his own personal and selfish ambitions and not to render any selfless services to the Nation. He missed the theory of the Banana Peel. Adieu Bukola Saraki ......

grin grin grin. Pro-Lawan SINators could not secure a mere simple majority to make him Senate President, now there are looking for 2/3 majority to impeach Saraki lolz

I don't blame them anyway, most of them had F9 in mathematics and does not know what 2/3 of 109 really is
grin cheesy don't mind them, they thought its gonna be easy to impeach the 'best Senate President' around grin infact, its Saraki till 2023 undecided

Initially it was rumoured that 50 Senators would accompany him to the tribunal only for us to discover that they were just a mere 29 out of 109 Senators leaving 80 angry Senators ......by the time Buhari is through with him, only 2 Senators from Kwara will be left with the arrogant rogue.... undecided

It still beats my imagintion that some set of people created by God, blessed by God will for over hundreds of years cultivate the belief of travelling several miles with their hard-earned money from their respective countries to a supposed 'place of worship' only to physically stone the devil, a spirit that cannot be seen with human eye shocked shocked when this same devil can be spiritually stoned with your sincere prayers in the corner of your room without spending a dime. Indeed, religion makes one HIGH

I still stand with Saraki, he is innocent until supreme court prove him guilty. Whether Buhari, Obj Tinubu like it or not, Saraki is innocent (for now) and he remain our senate president until he is convicted.

Politics › Re: See The Open Letter A Nigerian Pastor Wrote To President Buhari - Must Read by tomakint: 9:24am On Sep 24, 2015
A thought-provoking piece from a Pastor to a President whom I pray for would be a listening and proactive President. As it stands, APC perhaps because of their antecedents had succeeded in heating up the polity with their style of politics laden with psychological and intellectual pogroms, vendetta and extreme bitterness.....Buhari though not partisan is surrounded by die-hard partisan politicians, the more reason he needs to borrow a leaf from this eye-opening piece in order to deliver.
Politics › Re: Who Is The Winner In The Saraki Ordeal? Jideofor Adibe.(a Long Write Up) by tomakint: 9:04am On Sep 24, 2015
APC is definitely heading towards implosion as predicted by many of us here, however, Adibe captured the whole scenario imaginatively well by giving an all encompassing picture of likelihoods. APC will still produce the next Senate President and may not likely be Lawan or Akume but someone 'neutral' to balance the equation. Saraki is a goner no doubt but may likely decamp to PDP if he survives going to jail. Nigerian version of politics is full of intrigues.
