what instrument; ancient or modern, did vanguard use to measure the perceived strong indication? but if the report is true, the president should be above all scrutiny in this regard because he has the mandate and by implication competence reposed in him by the citizens, moral justification and security pass mark to handle any portfolios.
one would be tempted to assume that the block head law makers should already know this.
but then, this really seems like a case of battle line being drawn rather than them focusing on sieving out undeserving nominees and focusing on competence.
well, its because most of them are also corrupt.
what is even delaying the trials of fashola and amaechi.
stay away from huawei! Chinese scam! I just bought a y625 for 25k. it heats up like boiling ring and hangs, very fake battery, it can never be the 2800mah that they claim it is, among other undesirable qualities. I wanted a very chaep phone because my Samsung phones have been stolen twice. I was made to believe that huawei is no. 2 in phone ranking.
- 22 people is too much. he doesn't need that much.
- buhari is not fighting corruption, he's rather fighting saraki and other perceived political enemies.
- if buhari keeps company of people like amaechi and co. instead of kickstarting their prosecution, then buhari is yet to start the war against corruption and the conclusion will be that he's a liar
local champions. they couldn't win a single trophy in world stage. Africa is a dark continent with all the potential locked in the continent, people in position of authority fail to harness the potentials

Squig: @ all, the new guy or my man are not rich, just average guys. I met the new guy when my man and I had an issue and we didn't talk for almost 3 months and I thought that was the end even though we've agreed to marry before then. the wedding issue has been dragging on for a long time and I got fed up. I believe he's scared of losing me that is why he demanded we get married now.
I'm not a bad person or cheat, my man was my first. I just feel this new guy really cares about me and he's optimistic about having me in his life.
PS. the new guy doesn't know we've worked out our differences and we are not dating officially, we just spend a lot of time together and he's talking about getting married.
wake up and smell the coffee that this guy is talking about marriage doesn't mean you're the one he cherishes. who told you the Ist guy doesn't want to loose you when there are many fishes in the ocean? its even in your best interest to go ahead with your Ist!!!
All those that say that the president can make northerners his favored cabinet members so far as they deliver are beginning to get the shockers because they person they seem to repose their confidence in seems to have another objective in mind aside competence of appointees
segdan: ohohoh poverty is the problem of this country see wat girls are doing to get money when are we going to see a faithful girl
there are girls who don't have much but keep themselves yet succeed through school. its not poverty that drive them but pure unadulterated greed. the bad thing is that it is good guys somewhere that end up marrying these conscienceless bitches. gosh!
alexistaiwo: Had a heated argument with my girlfriend today. In the course of exchanging words she said that she is always approached by guys better than me, guys I can never compare to. she made it sound as though she is doing me a favour by dating me.
Though I love her and she loves me too, some words are relationship deal breakers. I just can't get that statement out of my head even after much apologies and crying on her part.
approach is different from date. that a guy approaches a girl doesn't mean he can live with or even date d girl. so in this case, its the bird in hand that's the very bird she has she obviously is not really in love with you because its you that she should see as the best
Will Smith stars in the new movie Concussion which is the real-life story of Nigerian-American doctor Bennet Ifekandu Omalu, the doctor who first discovered chronic traumatic encephalopathy (or CTE) after he conducted an autopsy on former NFL player Mike Webster. The movie follows Omalu’s struggle to get NFL executives to recognise the life threatening disease.
The movie is set for release in December.
While watching the movie trailer which was just released the one thing that struck me was Will Smith’s terrible “Nigerian” accent.
I do not know any Nigerian or Nigeria/American that speaks with the accent Will Smith is using in this movie. The accent sounds very East/Southern African to me. I would have expected an actor of Will Smith’s caliber to have done thorough research before taking on a movie like this and not followed the path of other mediocre actors who have also wrongly portrayed the Nigerian accent on film.
Surely it can’t be that hard to find Nigerians in America…I am disappointed…Big Willy fell my hand.
Americans need to realize Africans don’t all have the same accent…
Watch the trailer below & you decide if he nailed the Nigerian accent or not. I have also included a video of Bennet Omalu so you can listen for yourself & compare the accents.
The Indian High Commissioner to Nigeria,
Ajjampur R. Ghanashyam, has revealed some of
the shady deals that has inhibited the country's
oil transaction under the watch of former
Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Allison
Madueke.
According to a report by Daily Trust, the former
petroleum minister failed to sign a long-term
agreement with New Delhi, Nigeria’s Number One
oil buyer, so as to indulge intermediaries in the
annual $14 billion deal.
In the report, the high commissioner gave a full
detail of how the former minister ensured funds
from the oil deal between the two countries are
paid to intermediaries and not directly to the
government coffers.
' From other countries, when we buy oil, whatever
we want to pay, we pay to the Ministry of
Finance of that country. In Nigeria, we pay to
intermediaries. We would like to be dealing
directly with the Nigeria National Petroleum
Corporation (NNPC). It’s not a good thing. Why
should we go through intermediaries? Secondly,
we would also like to have long term agreement,
which we have with many countries: Iran, Iraq,
Saudi Arabia, and other countries from where we
buy oil. Nigeria is the only country with whom
we don’t have an agreement. .. When we write a
letter to NNPC, we don’t get a response.'
Furthermore, Ghanashyam revealed that aside
the lack of long-term agreement between the
two countries on crude oil purchases, an Indian
company, Oil & Natural Gas Commission Videsh
Limited (OVL) and Mittal Energy International,
applied for oil concession in 2006 but are yet to
get the permission nor $25m signature bonus,
which was paid by the company.
In his words, 'How many years is it? Nine years.
Even to get the concession is not possible, and
the money is not refunded to us. For nine years
your country has been sitting on this, and they
make us go round and round and round.
'We buy $15 billion worth of crude oil per year
and we have the potential of importing $50
billion worth of crude oil from Nigeria. We can
buy more because our requirement is going up.
But if you continue to make us to pay through
agents, and continue to ask us to buy from the
swap market, it means you don’t trust us, and if
you don’t trust us, we have to look for those
who trust us more.
'We are making concessions to Nigeria by buying
your crude oil because you’re our old friends and
we’ve been friends for a long time, and your
crude oil is better quality. But you must take our
interest into account,'he revealed further.
However, Daily Trust reports that investigation
conducted at the Department of Petroleum
Resources (DPR), Abuja revealed that the letter
for the signature bonus was prepared by the
department, but the former minister failed to sign
it until the end of the tenure of the Jonathan
administration.
Meanwhile, the NNPC 2014 Annual Statistical
Bulletin indicated that India bought 136,419,844
barrels of crude oil, at a time when the United
States’ own purchases from Nigeria was
24,047,758.
Yeecar: The community is fast developing, and the site is not far from the proposed Oba's palace. Its really worth it because its going to be yours for life and its not a LEASE! Its very straight forward from ikorodu round about. Enter any Cab or Bus going to Isiu igboro, its usually between 50 to 100 naira.
what makes it agricultural land and still close to so called proposed oba's palace. and plot of agricultural land sold for 700,000 is ambiguous to say the least. I wonder what bus will take you 50 naira to isiu from ikorodu round about. this op is either ignorant or just a blatant scammer
queenzibah: This is time to march it toe to toe with jamb/dibu , I'm not a jambite and even our last born will be a graduate by next year but to me this is of a grate consign to me. Jamb is as useless as useless itself , I don't know where to put them. This last push by jamb is truncating will and freedom of a citizen , and must not allow to hold. Check 98% of transfer from their main choice of school lands to PRIVATE university mean no admission for them because 60% of them can not pay the private school fees when compare to federal university. Also many of those courses in private uni. Have not been approve by NUC. Many will be moved out from their region against their will and freedom.
I believe its time to end and close jamb for good, I can say or compare any other country that makes educational system so hard like nigerian education , still we are not among the best 1000 or even 3000 in the world.
I believe its time to rise up and chase out jamb for good.
Jambites rise up and to what is right now or face more hardway that is on the way for your education.
We graduates should also help them in any way , and legally to eliminate jamb for good.
Believe me jamb is more corrupt than NNPC.
School have to organise their admission so our children and friends can have thousands of choice to enter school once after their WAEC.
Rise nigerians, and if you feel there is a better option please drop it here. Thanks.

While other states are owing their workers months of unpaid salaries, anambra state is increasing workers' salary. This is highly commendable. Channels tv just reported that the workers' wages have been increased by 16%. The governor promised to keep on with the prompt payment of salaries as at when due. The question is what are the right things done by anambra state that debtors like aregbesola of osun state and his likes need to takes home?
can't they just do what they got to do and let heads start rolling. meanwhile tinubu, obj, amaechi and co should not be exempted. its a pity that EFCC is being used for witch hunting and for politics. selective judgement is not a honorable action. why are perceived opponents being singles out for investigation leaving out cronies and associates ?
