When it comes to product design, especially for western companies and organisations, the chinese uave little to no impact as they are only designed to an assembly line. Take for instance the iPhone and Tesla cars.

Furthermore, the americans are anxiously looking to take production out of China to other cheap locations like India and veitnam necause the cost of production is becoming more expensive in China and too much of theft of intellectual property and extensive government subsidies for homegrown companies which hampers proper competition and stiffle out competitors from the market.

So also, if and when the west finally takes out their production line out of China, there will be crisis as the unemployment figures will rise amd pose another challenge to the Communist party.

Another leverage the west has over China is in the area of micro chips which are the bedrock of any technological advances and innovation. Without this control, the Chinese will still be weakened before the whims of the west.

Another problem is in the demographics of both countries. While their birth rates are falling rapidly, it's worse for the Chinese and a majority of the population is aged and with the downward trend in marriage and child bearing, the noose is around the Chinese and they will soon start loosing vibrant youngsters as their geriatric number explodes.

Russia just finished constructing a dry dock that can fit their Aircraft carrier, which is far more bigger and heavier than the moskva.
