Health / Re: How Do I Prevent HIV After Exposure? Please Help by Tomorrow28: 5:05pm On Apr 29
SmartyPants:

Well, it works almost the same way as PeP but to understand the difference, you first need to understand how HIV enters the body. HIV enters the body through mucous membranes like the vaginal lining or the urethra of the penis. So while PeP drugs circulate within the body to fight HIV after it has entered the body, PrEP drugs are designed to enter these mucous membranes i mentioned above so they can fight the HIV before it even has a chance to enter the body.

So in Summary, PrEP fights HIV on the frontlines but you have to take it a few days before the expected exposure so that it can build up in your system and be present in the mucous membranes before the HIV arrives. In other words PeP is like calling police after thieves enter your compound. PrEP is like having police waiting at the gate.

Yes NSW will not even approve your nomination application. You should have a valid English test that still has at least 3 months before submitting an application[/quo

Thank you. Clear enough

Are you living in NSW?
No. NSW can send you invite anytime, usually more than 14 days but you will have 14 days to apply. Thereafter, they can take up to 8 weeks to process your application.
60 days is for you to apply for visa after getting nomination. Looks like you are mixing up the timelines.

If your English expires before nomination which is ITA, you wont get a nomination from NSW and if you got one, your EOI would be invalid and would lead to visa refusal if you proceed.
So ii'll suggest you prepare asap and write a new English test.

Thanks for replying. If i understood you clearly my ielts expires June 19. So if by June 10 for example nsw invites me and i apply on June 15 does it mean I'm ineligible for nomination because by the 8weeks it takes to process my application and nominate me the ielts would have expired. Sorry if this is a dumb question.

I have filled EOI NSW pathway 2 investment nsw for 491 visa. I realise that I expect to receive ita from nsw with 14day response time as well as ita from skillselect with 60day response time. Now my question is...what if l receive ITA from nsw and respond within the 14day period and while waiting for ITA from skillselect my ielts expires

A friend told that so long as it was valid when l applied for nsw nomination there shouldn't be any issues. I will like to confirm if this is the case.

My ielts expires by june 2024. Though l have filled EOI, am l required to write another ielts when it finally expires?

Beautiful contribution. Bros l love your matured unsentimental take.

He might be your rescue...filing for your relocation...words on marble

[qauote author=nubianchio post=128036393]Firstly, your son is HIS child just as equally as is yours so please stop using the word "my child".

Secondly, signing a consent form for travel purposes is just a legal requirement that covers the question of safe custody of a minor in the hands of a another parent or guardian, as is your case (divorced parents). It is not a ploy to take "your" child by your ex-husband. It is just a requirement!

Thirdly, consider the fact that if your son turns 18 (for most country), your ex may never be able to confer his citizenship status to your son. By that age, if your child must travel out by then, he is going to do so on whatever visa he applies for- whether as tourist, student or whatever. Now that he is below 18, it is easier for the father to process his papers for citizenship for that country.

Lastly, if your son does travel and is going to university by the time he becomes a teenager, the university education may be way cheaper or free with incentives. Compared to his finishing school in Nigeria, the cost may be too for you both for a private Uni or his academic time may be uncertain if he attends a public Uni. Also note that peer pressure exists everywhere. Your son is more certain to graduate alive abroad comparing how students die of cultism in Nigeria to those in western world (cultism here is almost none existent- speaking as one who studied here).

Summarily, look at the benefits. He might be your rescue too in just a few years with his better education and career prospects here, maybe hopefully filing for you as a parent to visit or relocate over.

Think of what is in your son's best interest. Not yours or your ex. The system abroad has social services so there is a limit on how a child may go abused un-noticed if that is your concern.

My dear. I understand your fear. However l am selfishly concerned about the little boy only at this stage.

Its easier to get citizenship as a 10 year old because you are a minor living off daddy. But tougher as a 16-18 year old, because you are considered an adult depending on the country.

There is a suggestion below mine to involve lawyer and sign that you re not giving away total custody. Thus can claim kidnap should anything go wrong.

50-50 or win-win. Her son gets citizenship while has has secured her insecurities as per any eventualities

Nobody in present day Nigeria need a mind of their own to know whether they should japa or not. Its the only sensible thing to do. Nija is gone

[qquote author=IamMobisola post=128035636]

The ex-husband should allow the child finish secondary with his mother, then atleast he would be 16years old and would have a mind of his own and decide if he wants to relocate or not. For bow, the ex-husband should keep visiting the son here in Nigeria till then.[/quote]
Family / Re: Am I Being Paranoid? Please Help Me by Tomorrow28: 1:41pm On Jan 20
@ BackfyreRebell

Madam l don't see what the problem is here.

The key words are consent and reunite.

A 10 year old is a minor and need your consent to travel just as he would have needed the dad's consent had you been the one oversee.

If you give your consent, then the only English word for what will happen as a result is REUNITING with his dad.

Madam, if you want your son to love, respect and cherish you forever, give him life in Europe.

But deny him that and he will despise, hate and forever remind you that you are the source of his woes and whatever ugly situation he might find himself tomorrow. Be warned, l am speaking from experience. I am 42 and still hold grudges for my dad.

Someone already reminded you how much dollar is. Do not let petty thoughts deprive your son of the best life possible.

That little boys success is your success. You will be sowing a seed you will reap from in 15-20 years to come. Sons are always sentimentally attached to their moms. My son is, while my daughter is attached to me the dad. No amount of brain washing will erase that. He will alway seek you.

Please be guided

You should not blame her,do not stigmatise her and the condition. She needs empathy and good care from complement if Psychiatrist, nurses and support workers.
She definitely needs her medication reviewed, get someone to supervise her medication, help her with her meals and other activities.

If she were abroad, she might need to live in a supported accommodation if the family cannot provide 24 hours care for her.

So please, kindly arrange urgent review and get psychosocial support in addition to her medication. Desist from blaming her and show her love.

Because they used visit visa to enter the US. In order to access the labour market without restrictions, they do contract aka arrange marriage. Alternatively, study in Mexico and become a Mexican citizen, then TN visa to the US labour market. Or be like my oga Tensa20 and head to Chile. Do five years, collect passport and do H1B1. For those in Canada, play the long game to citizenship and TN visa your way to the US labour market.

Focus should be on accessing the US labour market without restrictions. If your money is plenty, enter Australia, get the passport and do E-3 visa to the US labour market.

There is one final route which you can do from your house in Nigeria, but please do your research. grin

I don try.

Why should I leave Australia and head to USA. Hmmm
