well, when you say below average...you are talking cumulatively, and well, performance ratings are relative...personally I think he's fared badly in security, but then it's very understandable, and quite clear why we cannot have peace in the country Caseless: if the words in bold is anything to go by, then, jonathan has had his fair share of registering his name in our not so glamorous history, why do we need him again, having performed below average? |

Abegii spare me ur rants. The fool doesn't even need to announce his going there for all I care. Wirh all his security agents, nothing will happen, afterall some of his soldiers live there. I have no doubt in my mind that the drunkard is a coward. What ffucking security clearance in my country as CinC . Those security agents are paid to secure and he should fire any security chief that can't guarantee his safety in any part of a country u claim u are governing. By the way, it's months now, what have they been doing? |
Politics › Re: Why GEJ Did Not Visit Chibok - Yakassai by tonte(m): 11:23pm On Dec 29, 2014 |
I'm not here to make any case for why the CDS has or has not visited there, that quite frankly is something I know nothing about...however I have seen on the news at different times the army chief had visited there, one time he was there with the CDS, one time he was there with the minister where they visited the hospital where soldiers were recovering, I know for a fact that the Airforce Chief has personally lead a bombing raid at least once...I understand from your post that you are from the north and as such i can understand your anger hakanai: When was the last visits by COAS & CDS? I mean it was even before the things spiral out of control and territory was significantly lost. I mean in there own case they should have relocated there or frequent the visits to show the push and motivation. Even to calm all the mutiny in there officers. When you spend on something worth doing then its only fair to go check even if nah investment. Not of talk of matters that involve life( Army or civilians). Soldiers are known for there field drive and surgical sense. I see none in this people currently running it apart from running court martials 100s km away. Also sharing the logistics wrongly. Again provide me the last photos of any visit by the chiefs to see first hand what officers are doing on ground. Its months now abi years the cheifs dey power? How many known visit of support to field personal?
That CDS is a native from the NE from a state being ravaged as well and Sambo is from the North! I mean if they tell us that GEJ and COAS are not northerners and as such since they are not from our north and a valid reason they should not visit us during our trying times then what of the Northerners in power amongst them? What is there own excuse? |

I cannot imagine him not campaigning there, at the same time I'm sure both of us are curious enough to see how he intends to do that...that being said, it is going to be best idea to make an unannounced unscheduled visit to the place and see the troops, but however that doesn't look like its ever gonna happen...all this time he hasn't visited his reason/excuse is that he hadn't any security clearance to make the visit and well that probably hasn't changed...understandably since the terrorists now use human bombs in the form of children Eziachi: I would be a fool not to know that you don't know. Am only asking you as an intelligent person and based on what you said before. I want you to use your Gods given common sense to analyse whether an unannounced visit to Chibok will be riskier that election campaign of thousands of people in attendance? I am not a security expert but common sense detect that a huge crowd will be riskier in terms of security for Jonathan than an unannounced visit to the parents and troops in Chibok. and NE, because I cannot just imagine him not campaigning in the NE. Do you? |

nope they won't get a hold of him, but that does not mean that they would not at least try...and in trying that would mean that some other people who would be alive by his not coming may have to die because people may be trying to kill mr president...which may later mean he will have to abort the visit to chibok..he's said it before that he wants to visit, but has not got the required security clearance to do so....so let me ask you, if you were mr president, and you don't have the required security clearance to visit, are you still going to take the risk to visit? Demdem:
How will that be possible? A whole CinC and u are telling me that some miscreants will get hold of him.

well, personally I don't hate him...I don't hate anybody, I don't even know what the effect/gains/losses of belonging to the OIC brings as I have never felt affected by this...I just know from what I have read that he was not the best leader we have had...but then in all 54 years of our existence from all I have read...we have never had very committed leaders. so ofcourse I would like to see a change in this, I'm not sure how that change can come from a person who has had his own page written in our history in the past...a past that wasn't so glamorous, a past we really do not want to return to. Caseless: he brought IMF, SAP etc, these and couple of other policies helped to de-industrialize Nigeria; every company in the north died in his name. The north dont hate because we don't like the west, we hate him because of aforementioned reason. I for one do not believe boko haram is as political as we make it sound, because if I believe it's political, then it would be correct to say Al-Shaabab in somalia is political, al-quaeda in the arab peninsula, maghreb and in afghanistan is political...or that ISIS is political...no they all are the same thing, they aren't politically motivated, they are motivated by extremist idealogy that they are fighting for a higher power who commands them to be as violent as possible...you have said the fact, what would it profit Buhari to destroy the people most likely to vote for him, or what will it profit GEJ to destroy his own citizens and therefore making himself unpopular in the country ibisko04: This is a nonsense talks. I want all of us to think about this boko haram issue, let us look at it away from politics. Do you people think that a person who has emotional attachment to a local setting will want that locality to be troubled. A political leader who want to win an election will destroy his political base. A traditional ruler will want his subjects killed enmass. Somebody who grew up in a locality with parents, friends, brothers and sisters and the person married and start his or her own family in the same environment will declared a war on that same locality. We need more reflective thinking on this boko haram matter, instead of pointing accusing fingers without any substantial evidence. Our intelligence agencies should put up more efforts in unravelling the faces behind the scenes. |

all you have said my guy are the truths....the whole truths...and absolutely nothing but the truths... 20pounds: This is very true! He did not say they sponsor them with money or weaponry, but their mentality and what they say, do and tell their followers, inspire them to rebel against constituted authorities in the land.
Buhari had been quoted as calling for amnesty for Boko haram.
El rufai calls them "one man's terrorist; another man's freedom fighter"
Atiku abubakar said "he who makes peaceful change impossible , makes violent change inevitable"
Adamu Ciroma had said so many things that one has lost count.
They have been able to take advantage of the illiteracy and ignorance in the north to gather large followership of the 'born-to-rule' folks. Buhari became so popular in the north after he called for total implementation of Sharia and became an ethnic jingoist and champion of the masses. He has sold that same image beyond the north and amongst those who ought to know.
Today, these men in conjunction with their collaborators have succeeded in making most Nigerians to disrespect constituted authorities. Many of us have become non- arms bearing boko haramites; attacking the government, refusing to co-operate with it and its institutions and praying for it to fail.
General Buhari, who retired as Commander-in-chief of the Military had gone as far as inciting the Military to commit acts of mutiny. Something he would not tolerate as a soldier or an elected President! Very soon, our Military shall pick up the Buhari cry and our baboons and monkeys shall then soak in blood, urine and faeces.
God bless Nigeria! |
