the problem is that these things happen and all we do is complain, can't we organise a protest? go to a media house?write a petition to the minister of comm. and copy other relevant ministries and offices? i stopped my ZI from the imposition of contribution on corpers in her local govt by simply letting the state coordinator know abt it and money was refunded. the moment we start seeking solutions to our problems and fight intimidation the better for us who are chinko's to come to my country and do rubbish cos i work for them, they cant try that shit with me cos i'll run them down.when we start fighting for ourselves and stop blaming the govt the better. If anyone in the house is ready to bring info or get a staff or ex staff testify we can take this up. I'm in all the way.[color=#000099][/color]

For all I know MEND cannot be stopped by Fashola the fedral govt has tried for about 10yrs what's the result?? let alone a state.whoever is saying the attack is not fair on Lagos should go the Niger delta and see first hand the situation then we can talk about fairness. know that the aim was not to dis-stabilize lagos but  to hinder the returns the fedral govt gets from these oil companies.The federal govt is the target no matter where is struck.
MEND has ordered a 60days seize fire to enable negotiations with govt. so they know what they want and this struggle might just make the fed. govt seat up to our needs.They are indirectly fighting for the whole country.

If I were at all involved in the mediation of this problem I would encourage both sides to first of all form regional think tanks led by professionals and academics.  I will keep politicians out of the mediation meetings and only meet with the egg heads.  The politicians channell their voice and opinion through the think tanks.

The whole money comes fron the Niger-delta but they have the poorest of schools, and infrastural development is zero.why can't Niger Delta be like Abuja? they suffer from polluted waters as a result of oil spillage and their means of survival which are farming and fishing are being destroyed because of the effect of destruction of crude in water and on land,killing the fish and maaking their land unproductive,
MEND should device a strategy to Drop bombs on Aso rock for all I care.blow up all the pipelines we might have to start from scratch and move towards a defined direction before things can work. They create a ministry of Niger Delta and all the roads and schools etc the ministry is supposed to construct are the same roads that million of dollars have been approved for the ministry of works to handle 2yrs back,where is that money and why can't the ministry embark on new projects ??why duplicate same projects under different ministries, the govt is full of crap.
Money comes from the Niger Delta and goes to the North, MEND  should continue the struggle, atleast they are giving the govt cause for concern.

i hope this would mean a more stable academic calender. but then justice after about 8 years , shame on our judiciary system

It is very important that in forums like this, people have clear understanding of what they want to contribute.
The principal reason why Nigeria is where it is today is cos of corruption.this man ruled and was never invited by the EFCC or had a single petition against him,the only governor in the 36states without a petition.
Look at cross river today and compare it with what it used to be.
He grew tourism and that's another source of income for the state.Everybody wants an experience of Xmas in Calabar. do you understand the amount of money that flows into the state and the pocket of his people at this time?
