It went with many wins as well, in fact big wins. This just happen this evening, my sister was busy chatting with her phone and there came in a pop up/flash massage from MTN ( to subscribe for smth biz iss), it came in so fast that my sister not knowing click ok, because she was typing concurrently wen the mge came in. Immediately MTN took #50 from her account. I personal call their costume care line to complain abt it, and we were told nothing could be done about it. Shoo Daylight robbers. You need to understand those philippinos you give the job dont pay for data for internet; internet is free at the Philippines, unlike in Nigeria. Those who even pay for internet pay cheaply for unlimited internet access. And for your information sir, they all have access to WiFi almost everywhere they go. Additionally, philipinos do not have to buy fuel-black market or white market(Lolz)-to power their generators. So, they can afford to do your job at very dirty prices.

But this is Nigeria where you have to pay for everything. You have to pay expensively for internet, buy generator, fuel the generator and resort to buy black market (250 naira per liter) to do article/blog writing. Now, put yourself in the shoes of poor Nigerians faced with these challenges mentioned above; would you still think $2 (about 500 naira) per 1000 words article is a right rate?

Writing is not easy-I am an article/blog writer with 5 years experience, so, I should know- if I must write, then I must have good motivation to write and that motivation is the right pay. If I must buy black market to write and subscribe for MTN monthly data to do research, I must be doing it for the right price. And if you must have well-researched write ups (high quality) you should be ready to pay meaningfully.

You said everything is not about money, but nigerian writers need to spend money to get your job done. So, should they run at a loss? This is not obodoyibo where guys do things for almost free; this is Nigeria ravaged with hunger and unemployment and people are only struggling to make ends meet and you still want them to buy black market to do your job at rock bottom rate?

Thank you for your comment, i supposed this is not for you. It will surely be for others who would have some time on their hands and at the same time earn money. I have been giving jobs like this to Philippines on odesk.com and they deliver very good. I just thought it would be good to give same opportunity to a Nigerian. The Conference of Islamic Organisations (CIO) has alleged that some aides of former President Goodluck Jonathan approached the body with $3 million so as to canvass for their votes during the presidential election.

According to Leadership, Coordinator of CIO, Imam Abdullahi Shuaib, made this claim during the 22nd National Islamic Training Programme (NITP), holding at Odosengolu, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

He said they rejected the government’s offer tagged: “religious fund”, meant to secure support of Muslims in Nigeria for the ex-president and his party-PDP, during the general elections early this year.

“It is not a secret, they came, offering us over three million dollars, we said no….It came through their proxies to us and we said no. And today we have been vindicated and it is not even part of our own culture to take bribe. We prefer to go hungry than to collect a bribe from somebody, that is unlawful.” He said that some officials of the Jonathan-led administration (whose identities were not disclosed) approached the CIO with money but it rejected “because we know very well that it was a bait; it was a poison and you cannot eat and dine with the devil and think the devil will not come after you.”he said
