Everyone have been a victim of unsuccessful interviews b4, but many nigerians dont even know how to go on the internet to search for jobs let alone fill up an application form correctly.

Sauron, honestly getting on the property lader was one of the best descisions we took. We were lucky, the timing was good, the price was good and interest rates low.

Many people I know, took out equity from our homes to put a structure down in Nigeria; thus killing 2 birds with one stone.

Some remortged property 1 to pay the deposit on property 2 and so on and are raking in thousands each month in rental income. But as I said earlier it all depends on the timing and the property climate at the time.

No it isn't - instead of dashing off rent to a Landlord that you have NO CHANCE of getting back, get a mortgage and if you get tired, you can sell and regain the money you've paid in (all things being equal).
As long as you have an income to support it, you can even sell off later on and use that money to build your house in Nigeria. If you can't afford it, then a mortgage will be terrible. Then again, for anything good, you must sacrifice something

Thank you . . . . If you can get a mortgage its best to take it, yes u want to build a house in naija (which to me has no value ) but u can always re-mortgage (u dont have to sell) and use the money u get out of it to go build ur house in 9ja instead of going to the bank for loans.

Access to good information is the key to living well in Europe and North America. Many Nigerians are not informed and this leads them into making bad decisions.  I know of people who've been in Britain for up to 3 years but they can't use the internet and community newspapers to locate jobs. Some cannot fill job application forms properly and do not know how to conduct themselves when they go for interviews. Meanwhile, there are sites online that provides them with all the information they need to make progress in life. There are even home study courses you can take that will get you updated in your area of specialization.

The same pair of shoes you bought at the high street shop for £30 can be bought for £15 if you know where to look for bargains Phone contracts, TV license, travel cards etc also eat deep into the pockets of peeps here. If you're not smart and cut your coat to your size in Britain, you might end up frustrated Money is everything in Britain these days. Just use your money intelligently and be wise. Information is the key  to making progress in organized societies like Britain
