The world is dynamic, there's no one way to Live life, it's multiple ways . Even present day Abia, the Igbos there have alot of ancestry from Ibibio. Ikwere people wanted their own autonomy cos they felt the way the Ayioma people of Delta felt. It doesn't take away their Traditions or Ancestry but they have a right to chose who and where they want to belong.
again Ikwere and Anioma are clans like how Ehugbo,Edda and Ohaozara are clans in Ebonyi state but are Igbo by tribe na state creation make pikin lost from him mama ooh

Ijebus are clans in Ogun state and they are yoruba by tribe that's just it

This is the kind of history people don't know about and don't care to know. A lot of things have happened and people have mixed so much due to state creation.
and there's a reason why history was removed from our curriculum to shatter lots of things if assuming Afikpo North and South and many Other Igbo clans in present day Nigeria were aligned to the Northern part of this nation don't you think they will start claiming they're not Igbo but of Hausa extraction grin like how confused the Ikwere found themselves

Can you throw more light on this? I will like to know the details.
not only the Ikwere are the ones sidelining themselves we have the Anioma clans and mind you Ikwere is not a tribe but a Clan under igbo tribe.the aftermath of what happened in Rivers when Adekunle and Gowon run them street during the civil that's when they decided not to allign themselves and that's when oil have been discovered in there land they decided to be on there own..

Then on the part of Anioma that's Asaba, Agbor, Kwale, Oligbo, Ibrode, Ibusa, Gbanke, Igbodo, Igbuku, Illah, Isa-Ogwashi, Iselegu, Isheagu, Isikiti-Ishiagu, Issele-Azagba, Issele-Mkpitime, Issele-Uku, Isumpe, Kwale, Mbiri, Ndemiri, Ndokwa, and Abbi.
They wanted a state then and in 1996 some igbo politicians including Dr Ogbonanya Onu after getting to know that some indigenous igbo speaking clans will get lost into the north central if Anioma state is created outside Delta, then they drop the hope of enlisting Anioma with the likes of Ekiti, Kebbi etc to create Ebonyi state even almost 3-4 local government of igbo speaking clan eventually went with Benue to the north they'reUmuezeokoha, Umuezeoka, Oriuzor, Umuoghara, Amaekka and Amaezekwe all in Ezza communities, Izzi, Ezzamgbo and Effium, but they still save the others and Ebonyi state was created instead of Anioma state and the elders in Anioma were unhappy and some started telling there children that they are not Igbos because they felt betrayed..

That's just the summary

I'm from kogi west... We speak our own dialect different from Yoruba... And when we speak a Yoruba man from osun won't understand a thing... But I'm still Yoruba....but u see dis igbo guys ehn...they don't allow dis guys join associations because they don't see them as igbos... But when it comes to politics they'll start asking them to claim igbo... Make una free them to claim anything wey dem want
not at all you are wrong I have them as cousins and nephews they just decided to distance themselves after the civil war ...what caused Asaba own is that Igbo politicians work against Asaba,Oshimili north and south abor, ika and the rest to have a state in deterrent to Afikpo North and South and some of Ezza local government that they wanted to create and put in the north central with the likes of Benue that's what birth Ebonyi state instead of Anioma state na dia wahala take start ooh

Nigeria was developing well to meet foreigin nations standard.
But our developement has scattered and were going backwards.
I lived in UK, went round and round all the markets. I never saw: Bucket, Jerry Can, Kerosene stove, Generator petrol or diesel.
Such things are never found in the market.
The only day my petrol finished and I had to push car and buy fuel, it's only this tiny container I saw at the filling station.
na WA oo we have really retrogressed as a nation and it is not good for us that other nations are seeing as the giant of the black race

Yes oh...Like a tap for a community ooh...Some people were lucky to have it in their compounds and they pay the water corporation monthly. That was the era they were using water tankers to sell water.
that was when this nation was working 😞 it will never be better for democracy oo

It's an overhead water storage tank. You will mostly see it in State water corporation offices when water corporations functioned up till the 90s before the introduction of drilling boreholes.

The water board mostly pumps water from the river to the overhead storage tanks and from there, the water board pumps to any community they wish to service at that period.
I could remember during that period, we were given water on Thursdays.
this your write up took me memory lane those days of Ile Ife we go line up buckets dey fetch water when they open water for water corporation

Politics › Re: Dangote's Fuel Monopoly Risks Soaring Petrol Prices - Joe Ajaero by Topmaike007(m): 12:31am On Jun 05, 2023
N3TRAL:
Prices of Petroleum products are governed by OPEC. As a member state of OPEC , for instance, an oil company in Nigeria should not be selling lower than Saudi Aramco in Saudi Arabia.

The oil prices are fixed by OPEC. They're international. If a barrel of crude oil is 10$, Dangote won't be buying it from Nigeria at $5. He'll be buying it at 10$. When we bring the factors of comparative advantage and the economies of scale, the cost of production in Nigeria should ordinarily be higher.

Dangote's refinery is projected to export its output to African countries and he cannot sell to them below the international prices. The refinery cannot also sell to Nigeria at a lower price because Nigerian smugglers will benefit from such arbitrage system which could see neighboring countries get more supplies than Nigeria as neighboring countries would be getting cheaper fuel from a Nigerian refinery than anywhere else in the world through the backdoor.

If the price from Dangote refinery changes from the price of imported fuel, it would be because of logistic and transportation reasons. Like elimination of the cost of shipping which would mean not more than 30 to 50 naira difference. Dangote's refinery is to improve our balance of payment as a country and prevent a balance of payment deficit but not to make fuel cheaper through another form of subsidy.

The NLC chairman is empty and his opinion is not without prejudice.
my own is Will they utilise the money generated from fuel subsidy well because the one that they removed from kerosene and diesel we haven't seen anything from it and we were just borrowing and owing nations debt

Why will you say so? Even if they do not deserve to have a car, they need fuel to power their generators....

And if they were spending N500 on transport fare in a day, it will increase to N800 or even N1000.

Good governance should affect the common man and not the elites! The poor and average constitutes majority of population in the country.
