Foreign Affairs / Woman Who Flipped Off Trump Says She Was Fired For It by Toppytek(m): 7:45am On Nov 07, 2017
Washington (CNN) - The woman who gave President Donald Trump's motorcade the finger in late October is speaking out after she said she was fired for the incident that went viral.

Juli Briskman, a former member of the marketing team at Akima LLC, was riding her bike as the presidential motorcade passed by, transporting Trump from his golf course back to the White House.

"My finger said what I was feeling," Briskman said. "I'm angry and I'm frustrated."

She flipped off the motorcade twice, and after the moment went viral, she told her employer.

"I thought that it would probably get back to my company eventually," Briskman said in an interview with CNN's Jeanne Moos.

She said she was told she had violated the company's social media policy, and said the company in turn fired her.

"I said, 'Well, that was me,'" Briskman told Moos, recalling her conversation with her former company's HR representative.

Briskman said she had been at the company for about 6½ months before the incident, and was working in the marketing department.

She added that she's "really not" the bird-flipping type.

"Health care doesn't pass, but you try to dismantle it from the inside," Briskman said. "Five-hundred people get shot in Las Vegas; you're doing nothing about it. You know, white supremacists have this big march and hurt a bunch of people down in Charlottesville and you call them good people."

This Paragraph really got to me. There is no thread on Nairaland that has kept me glued to my screen like this one. There is no thread on Nairaland that has interested me in such a way that when i sleep, i still wake up and come back to that same thread. There is no thread that has made me Happy, Sad, Frustrated, at the same time like this thread. Thank God for your self awareness and your ability to describe the little things you noticed. It made all the difference in the world. This thread made me question my entire existence. So i may die without having experienced what Modern civilization feels like? wow, it's too much.

I like the fact that you can choose your bills

I wish that was possible in Nigeria

I've witnessed two scenarios where an ATM dispensed fake naira notes and I'm sure those notes were not there by mistake.

FrankNetter:
Question for everyone. Do you believe in predestination?

hmmm... big question if I may. well for me I believe I've been predestined to be rich and wealthy.. I just have the believe.. though I don't know what tomorrow holds. right from my childhood I've always long for something nice and sophisticated especially in terms of luxury.. though some see me as over ambitious or greedy type .. but that's has always been my choice .. i envisage alot.. I see myself becoming rich and wealthy but I don't know how this is going to happen but I believe it will so far am not idle .. I believe all would be fine.

Another thing is, even if your pastor or prophet says you're going to become this or that.. that doesn't mean you should relax and expect and impromptu miracle.. oga .. u go tey. such prophesy should serve as a guide to what ever your goal is.

In a nutshell, I believe we're all predestined to become or serve one purpose or the other.
