Bossman: I do not consider myself from a wealthy family. Came here on a student visa, and my dad was the one that took care of everything. Both bachelor's and master's degrees. He sent money for school/living every year for 6 years. He did that for all of us 6 kids. 3 are here and 3 in London. This was a long time ago though, when the Naira had value. After schooling we all took it from there, to get stay, etc. Also, did part-time jobs while in school. Please what's your definition of been wealthy or rich?.. maybe you have a different definitions.. my school fees per session is ₦25k federal University, u can't imagine what my parents and I go tthrough to get this money paid every year , I almost forfeited my admission late 2016 cos of ₦10k to complete my school fees, if not for UK based female friend that came to my rescue.. . Just thank God for your life. And am ggrateful too.. happy palm Sunday. |

CFCman: Well, genetic testing would be considered if the aunt looks way older than him. And that's a big possibility But as the link says, DNA testing is quite expensive, so if the aunt presents convincing documentation that shows he is her brother, then the path could be clear for the application to proceed. She's 37 (born here in Nigeria but raised in the US).. her elder brother (born in the US ) is 40 and am 28. EgunMogaji |

EgunMogaji: Student visa.
They can pay for your school fees and you can emigrate legally.
From there things can work themselves out. Maybe you'll fall in love with a USC, maybe you'll find the cure for cancer or HIV (Trump will personally come and officiate at your swearing in oath as a citizen)
For direct working visa, it's near impossible, but please don't let me discourage you. lol... cure for cancer and HIV... I no even get cure for headache.. fall in love?.. hmm.. EgunMogaji: Yah all will be committing immigration fraud.
Potential penalties, lifetime ban to the USA (one can reasobanly include Australia, UK, Canada and all other countries that share data with the US on immigration). The USA relatives may face loss of their US citizenship as well as jail term.
Do the things the legit way, all the time.
I think Oyinbo that can go to moon, has built house in space, has rovers on another planet, and have spacecraft's that has left our solar system can figured out the simple Nigerian lies. They are not stupid.
American is a computerized society. Every single statement, form that applicants (your relatives in the US) has been archived in files by immigration and state department and can be used to process new forms. My Wife recently went for her citizenship interview and she was asked questions based on forms she filed out 4 years back in Nigeria.
PS: Not sure most are aware but state department employees are present on this forum answering questions and can read all these schemes that are proposed here. I can see you know alot concerning the US immigration stuff.. but do you think my relatives over there could be of any help for me whenever am ready?.. I'm looking forward to going there to stay and work ... probably becoming a permanent residence. I'm asking all these just to avoid mistakes and anything illegal.. I'm not ready to implicate anybody thanks in advance CFCman EgunMogaji |

EgunMogaji: "Green Card Through Family Many people get Green Cards (become permanent residents) through family members. You may be eligible to get a Green Card as:
an immediate relative of a U.S. citizen, this includes spouses, unmarried children under the age of 21, and parents of U.S. citizen petitioners 21 or older a family member of a U.S. citizen fitting into a preference category, this includes unmarried sons or daughters over the age of 21, married children of any age, and brothers and sisters of U.S. citizen petitioners 21 or older a family member of a green card holder, this includes spouses and unmarried children of the sponsoring green card holder a member of a special category, this can include battered spouse or child (VAWA), a K nonimmigrant, a person born to a foreign diplomat in the United States, a V nonimmigrant or a widow(er) of a U.S. Citizen"
https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/green-card-through-family
Short answer is NO, there is no direct family relationship.
Long answer is YES, but you may already become a senior citizen by then
Your Aunt can file for your Dad. Not sure what the waiting period is for now. Then your Dad can file for you. There are significant waiting periods.
Benefits?
Well, an immigrant visa will entitle you to work and live in the United States. Some considerations. You have to live in USA more than outside and you'll get to pay taxes in the USA and also on income earned from Nigeria/overseas.
I am not an immigration attorney but I have direct hands on experiecne in both non-immigrant and immigrant visas.
Good luck. wow wow!!! thanks so much. na wa for visa application ooo.. but pls permit me to ask... what if my uncle or aunty decided file for me as an immediate brother and not as a nephew base on uncle and Aunty stuff? the reason I said this is that there are lot of people (more than 10) living in the US who we're blood related bearing this same surname. though we talk once in a while through chat but I've never made mention of my interest of coming to the US someday base on the fact that am yet to finish school here, and I don't know how many of them has been granted American citizenship but am very sure of 2 or 3 of them. so can anyone of them file for me as an immediate family I.e younger brother? CFCman EgunMogaji abeg hope say my wahala no to much? |

omoluabiguy: First, you will need to do some US GPA equivalent (evaluation) for your grade to be converted to a 4.0 scale. Having done that, you'll know your stand in applying to US Schools "GPA-wise". You can use the WES free iGPA Calculator to get a rough estimate/figure OR you could go hard by sending your credentials to WES for evaluation proper.
That being said, once you know your GPA, you go ahead and scout for schools via google; check out their requirements and see which school you can meet up with. You should consider writing standardized tests (GRE,TOEFL/IELTS) and blast to compensate your GPA then you can go from there!!! wow .. thanks so much for this.. God bless.. amen |

firstking01: Lol, every guy weather white or black at one point has done that intentionally or non-intentionally....but for you to know that i'm the one calling but refused to say a word after picking my call is just sheer wickedness...instead why not ask me to stop calling you huh??....y'all sucks big time. for me I don't see any big deal picking a call from an unknown number, I pick my calls and when I discover it's a wrong number call I'd kindly tell the caller "you're calling a wrong number". But it still baffles me how some ladies intentionally keep mute when they pick an incoming call. for me I see it as nonsense!! |

Romance › What Does Nigerian Ladies Achieve When They Pick A Guy's Call And Keep Mute? by Toppytek(op): 10:04am On Apr 07, 2017 |
I have noticed this attitude in some Nigerian girls. they're fond of picking a guy's call without uttering a word, waiting for the guy to talk first, for God's sake what's the essence of picking the call then.
For example, there is this girl in my area who happens to be a sales girl in a chemist's shop, yesterday she didn't come to work and I tried calling her just to know what's up with her, I was surprised when she picked my call without uttering a word, I was like "am i having an ear infection"?.. cos I couldn't hear her say anything then I said "hello" she now say hello too, then I asked "why didn't u talk when you picked my call at first"?.. she said that she talked but I know she didn't cos I couldn't hear anything at all. she was still trying to explain her flimsy excuses but I didn't even bother listening I dropped the call, she kept buzzing my phone I didn't bother picking nor returning her call.
This kind of attitude baffles me a lot and I've been forced to stop calling some girls on my phone contacts cos it's really absurd and annoying. I don't even know maybe you ladies are into fraud or something cos for me I do pick any incoming call on my phone be it Unknown number or private number so far I am not into fraud or any act of criminality.
Well .. don't know if it's your pride and ego causing all these. |

My building site in Elebu is on a very bad road (iCast area).
