This matter should just not be swept under carpet like that. This guy needed legal assistance to bring this so called Madaki to justice.
You can't just pick someone and detain him for three weeks, only to come and say sorry.

Just take a look at the west Africa belt. Lush green vegetation! A natural agricultural blessing. We have all it takes to feed the entire continent and beyond. However bad leadership has crippled this endowment. I really pity my people.
Politics / How Europeans Learned From Africans During The Slave Trade Era by topsy1971: 5:06pm On Aug 10, 2012
Africa's History did not start in Slavery. Some of the world's other great civilisations, such as Kush, Axum , Ghana , Mali , Oyo empire and Great Zimbabwe , also flourished in Africa and some major scientific advances were known in Africa long before they were known in Europe . Towards the middle of the 12 th century, the north African scientist, Al Idrisi, wrote, ‘What results from the opinion of philosophers, learned men and those skilled in observation of the heavenly bodies, is that the world is as round as a sphere, of which the waters are adherent and maintained upon its surface by natural equilibrium.'

Africans were certainly involved in trans-oceanic travel long before Europeans and there is some evidence to suggest that Africans crossed the Atlantic and reached the American continent, perhaps even north America , as early as 500 BC. In the 14 th century, the Syrian writer, al-Umari, wrote about the voyage of the Emperor of Mali who crossed the Atlantic with 2000 ships but failed to return.

Africans in east and south-eastern Africa also set up great civilisations that established important trading links with the kingdoms and empires of India and China long before Europeans had learned how to navigate the Atlantic ocean . When Europeans first sailed to Africa in the 15 th century, African pilots and navigators shared with them their knowledge of trans-oceanic travel.

It was gold from the great empires of West Africa , Ghana , Mali and Songhay, which provided the means for the economic take off of Europe in the 13 th and 14 th centuries and aroused the interest of Europeans in western Africa .

An early historian in the 9 th century wrote ‘the king of Ghana is a great king. In his territory are mines of gold.' When the famous historian of Muslim Spain, al-Bakri wrote about Ghana in the 11 th century, he reported that its king ‘rules an enormous kingdom and has great power' .

The king of Ghana was said to have an army of 200,000 men and to rule over an extremely wealthy trading empire. In the 14 th century, the west African empire of Mali was larger than western Europe and reputed to be one of the largest, richest and most powerful states in the world. The Moroccan traveller Ibn Batuta wrote about his very favourable impressions of this empire and said that he found ‘complete and general safety' there.

When the famous emperor of Mali , Mansa Musa visited Cairo in 1324, it was said that he brought so much gold with him that its price fell dramatically and had not recovered its value even 12 years later. The empire of Songhay was known, amongst other things, for the famous university of Sankore based in Timbuctu.

Aristotle was studied at Sankore and also subjects such as law, various branches of philosophy, dialectic, grammar, rhetoric and astronomy. In the 16 th century one of its most famous scholars, Ahmed Baba, is said to have written more than 40 major books on subjects such as astronomy, history and theology and he had his own private library that held over 1500 volumes. One of the first reports of Timbuctu to reach Europe was by Leo Africanus. In his book, published in 1550, he says of the town: ‘There you will find many judges, professors and devout men, all handsomely maintained by the king, who holds scholars in much honour. There too they sell many handwritten north African books, and more profit is to be made there from the sale of books than from any other branch of trade.'

African knowledge and that of the ancient world, was transmitted to Europe as a result of the North African or Moorish conquest of the Iberian peninsular in the 8 th century. There were in fact several such conquests including two by the Berber dynasties in the 11 th and 12 th centuries.

The Muslim invasion of Europe, and the founding of the state of Cordoba , re-introduced all the learning of the ancient world as well as the various contributions made by Islamic scholars and linked Europe much more closely with north and West Africa . Arabic numerals based on those used in India were introduced and they helped simplify mathematical calculations.

Europe was also introduced to the learning of ancient world mainly through translations in Arabic of works in medicine, chemistry, astronomy, mathematics and philosophy. So important was the knowledge found in Muslim Spain, that one Christian monk - Adelard of Bath - disguised himself as a Muslim in order to study at the university at Cordoba . Many historians believe that it was this knowledge, brought to Europe through Muslim Spain, which not only created the conditions for the Renaissance but also for the eventual expansion of Europe overseas in the 15 th century.

European views before the Slave Trade

Before the devastation of the Transatlantic Slave Trade important diplomatic and trading partnerships had developed between the rulers of European countries and those of Africa who saw each other as equals. Some of the earliest European visitors to Africa recognised that many African societies were as advanced or even more advanced than their own.

In the early 16 th century, the Portuguese trader Duarte Barboosa said of the east African city Kilwa: There were many fair houses of stone and mortar, well arranged in streets. Around it were streams and orchards with many channels of sweet water.' Of the inhabitants of Kilwa he reported, ‘They were finely clad in many rich garments of gold and silk, and cotton, and the women as well; also with much gold and silver in chains and bracelets, which they wore on their legs and arms, and many jewelled earring s in their ears.'

A Dutch traveller to the kingdom of Benin in the early 17 th century sent home this report of the capital.

‘It looks very big when you enter it for you go into a great broad street, which, though not paved, seems to be seven or eight times broader than the Warmoes Street in Amsterdam. This street continues for about four miles and has no bend in it. At the gate where I went in on horseback, I saw a big wall, very thick and made of earth, with a deep ditch outside. Outside the gate there is a large suburb.

Inside as you go along the main street, you can see other broad streets on either side, and these are also straight. The houses in this town stand in good order, one close to the other and evenly placed beside the next, like our houses in Holland.' Africans and the African continent have made enormous contributions to human history just as other peoples and continents have. It is the development of Eurocentric and racist views in Europe that have denied this fact and sought to negate the history of Africa and its peoples.

Africa , the birthplace of humanity

We now know We now know that far from having no history, it is likely that human history actually began in Africa. The oldest evidence of human existence and that of our immediate ancestors has been found in Africa .In July 2002 further evidence of the existence of early hominids in Africa was found with the discovery of the fossilised remains of what has been called Sahelanthropus tchadensis , thought to be between 6-7 million years old, in Chad. The latest scientific research points to the fact that all human beings are likely to have African ancestors. See Ethiopia.

Invade of Ashate kingdom

Africa's history did not begin in slavery, and despite the peculiarity, horror, and duration of enslavement of Africans, slavery occupies a minor timeframe in the 120,000 years of African history. In the last 50 years much has been done to combat the entirely false and negative views about the history of Africa and Africans.

See African Kingdoms for the vast civilizations that existed in Africa. Christianity existed in Ethiopia long before there was the "Church of England". Islam exited in Africa before it even reached outside of what is today Saudi Arabia. Libraries and universities existed in Islamic cities such as Timbuktu, where advance mathematics and astrology were studied. In Ethiopia for 100s of years the Kebra Negast was written in the only surviving African native script Ge'ez. Ethiopia was the only African nation to actively repel colonialism and is one of the world oldest continuous civilizations.

Africa has always been part of the Biblical, Jewish and Islamic world. It was a common site to see Ethiopians in Rome or anywhere in the "known" world. Modern day Israel was also a site for Ethiopian pilgrimage and Mecca was for Muslim Africa. The historical trip of Kanka Musa was said to alter the economy of every state he passed through on his way to Mecca.

Some of the most notable civilizations in human history come out of the Nile Valley in Africa, of these we know KMT (Ancient Egypt) and Nubia. Still today Western historians, as in the past, have tried to deny the African identity of these kingdoms, which are geographically located in Africa. Yet no one has ever said Greece was not a European civilization, or Ancient China was not an Asian civilization. So this double standard is the legacy of the white washing of Africa history to satisfy the myth that Africa is outside of humanity, civilization and thus suitable for harvest by more advanced nations.

The denial of African agency has had a profound impact on how the world sees general history in the context of the African agent. Christian history is African history (Axsum). The history of World civilizations is the history of Africa. The history of Islam is the history of Africa (1st Hijirah, Sokoto, Islamic Spain), you cannot divorced one from the other. The history of humanity is an African history.

Buy now Motherland

History and development didn't happen in isolation of African agency. Slavery and Colonialism did victimized Africans but Africans are not histories perpetual victims. Africans in antiquity had agency and made conscious choices which contributed to the development of humanity. In Axsum the course that Ezna took to make Christianity the state religion was based on his sovereign agency

There is a mental tool kit that the African student needs to engage anytime studying history. Unlike everyone else when an African speaks he is fighting two battles; proving he is valid as a human to contribute and then proving he is right. This double burden is due to the historical disinheritance created by racism.

When history is reduced from all the pages to the underlining conclusion, we find regardless of if the author is British liberal, American conservative, or Australian the conclusion is the same: Africa has fostered nothing the Western World considers artifacts of civilization. With few exceptions, this is the underlying summarization on Africa, the pathology of discrediting and take-away.

Eurocentric scholarship would rather credit Arabs, Indians, Chinese and even aliens for the pyramids rather than native Africans. The real difference between the liberal and the conservative is that the conservative will control you by external mechanisms (sanctions/war), the liberal will control you by internal mechanism.(charities/missionaries, agenda setters). Both have an adverse reaction every time African agency lifts its head up.

Religion / Boko Haram: Christian Association Of Nigeria Writes Hillary Clinton by topsy1971: 3:27pm On Aug 10, 2012
Dear Madam Secretary: Welcome to Nigeria and thank you for taking the time to visit our beleaguered country at a time when insecurity is at the highest levels it has been in recent memory. Just days before your visit, 17 worshippers were killed in a church service so we do indeed appreciate the effort and courage you displayed in coming.

Madam Secretary, I had wanted an audience with you to raise my concern over recent statements credited to the US Government, including at a congressional hearing in which I testified last month. These pronouncements from the State Department have distortions, omissions and in some cases clearly misrepresent facts on the ground in a manner that beclouds the crisis facing Nigeria and is ultimately deleterious to the quest for a peaceful and truthful resolution.

However, as I understand that your schedule is very tight, I will address here the latest such statement contained in your just released 2011 International Religious Freedom report.

Much to our dismay, the information contained in our memorandum to the presidential panel on Post-Election Violence was not included in the 2011 State Department International Religious Freedom Report. Our memo presented widespread incidents of violence targeting Christians in 12 northern states in April last year during the reporting period of the 2011 report. Unfortunately the destruction of over 700 churches and the systematic massacres of hundreds of Christians in 48 hours – the largest single attack on Christendom in contemporary world history anywhere on the planet - were not included in your report.

Even more surprising, the report failed to accurately describe the horrific Christmas Day multi-city church attacks. These coordinated attacks on three states, comprising Niger, Plateau and Yobe, claimed over 60 lives and, for a second consecutive year, stunned the world. The report merely mentions the Christmas Day church bombing of St. Theresa’s Catholic church in Madalla, then fails to communicate the scope and significance of the Christmas Day attacks.

The pernicious persecution, denigration and dehumanization of Christians in northern Nigeria especially has been a fact of life for over a quarter century. It is therefore disconcerting that the US report addresses it in a speculative tone that undermines the harsh reality of the masses of orphans and widows left behind.

The report while conceding that the Nigerian constitution forbids adoption of state religion does not plainly point out that the 12 northern states by adopting Sharia codes and creating religious police, ministries of religion and funding mosques are an affront to the constitution’s establishment clause as well as the doctrine of separation of faith and state.

Finally it is deeply troubling that your report makes an unsubstantiated claim that more Muslims than Christians died in the attacks of last year. This theory was predicated on an erroneous assumption that since the attacks were in “predominantly” Muslim areas, it “follows’ that Muslims would be hardest hit.

Even if such assumptions could be made without empirical data, the more credible and more plausible proposition is that given Boko Haram’s declared intent to obliterate Christianity in northern Nigeria and its systematic attacks which began almost a decade ago, the majority of the victims are Christians. Since Boko Haram has stated that it does not theologically or operationally target mosques and has so far not succeeded in attacking any, it is only logical that Muslims cannot be the majority victims.

This is borne out by quantitative data. Out of the 137 religious-motivated violent incidents we tracked, 88.3% were attacks on Christians, 2.9% were attacks on Muslims, attacks on security agents 4.4%, sectarian clashes 2.2% and extra-judicial killings were 2.1%. The US Terrorism report 2011 indicates a total of 136 terrorist attacks in Nigeria. It is inconceivable therefore that Muslims were the primary victims of a jihadist group whose intent is to Islamize Nigeria.

This year 2012 alone, there have been 49 security incidences of which 80% have targeted Christians.

There are numerous other points that we take issue with but that will have to wait till we have an appropriate forum to fully dialogue on this. However to assist you to be better informed, we are attaching several documents on the conditions of Christians in northern Nigeria:

The Memorandum of the Christian Association of Nigeria to the Presidential Panel of Post-Election Violence of 2011
A Compendium of the Marginalization and Persecution of Indigenous Christians and the Church in the Nineteen 19 Northern States of Nigeria conducted in 2010

In conclusion, we recognize that the State Department reports cannot cover every incident of religiously motivated violence in a country the size of Nigeria. However, the State Department has a statutory duty and moral obligation to give an accurate picture of events on the ground.  Although your report indicates that your embassy had “regular” meetings with religious leaders, it is somewhat odd that key data such as what we are now submitting was never asked for.

We also have no recollection of a visit by the ambassador-at-large for religious freedom in 2011 and also no record of the US embassy celebrating any religious holidays besides the Muslim holidays.

We urge you to work with us to achieve a truth-based peaceful resolution to the terrorism and extremism that threatens the very life of our nation. We look forward to future collaboration.

National President, CAN

Politics / Bayelsa Plans "Autonomy" With Flag, Coat Of Arms, Anthem by topsy1971: 1:28am On Aug 09, 2012
By Premium Times

Citing amongst others, Osun state, which recently provoked a row with the federal government over a similar move, Bayelsa state, President Goodluck Jonathan’s home state, announced on Wednesday it was rolling out its flag, coat of arms and an anthem.

The customized insignia are to be released once the law establishing them is signed by the governor, Seriake Dickson.

Mr. Dickson said the decision was taken to forge a common identity for the Ijaws with the state reputed as their homeland, and assured it was nothing different from what was obtained in the other nine states that have towed a similar path.

“In line with the vision of the founding fathers of our dearly beloved state and given this administration’s stand on Ijaw mobilization, Ijaw integration and the need to promote Ijaw fundamental interest, which clearly is not subordinate to any other interests, the government of Bayelsa State has given its approval to have a state-owned emblem to mark and strengthen our sense of identity as a state,” Mr. Dickson said in a statement signed by his Press Secretary, Daniel Iworiso-Markson.

The decision was taken at Monday’s State Executive Council meeting, the statement adds.

The move brings to 10, the number of states with known state paraphernalia with the rest being Lagos, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, Ogun, Ekiti, Kwara, Cross River and Rivers States.

But more than any other state, it was a similar declaration by the Osun state government, led by the Action Congress of Nigeria’s Rauf Aregbesola that triggered a collision between the state and the federal government in April.

Mr. Aregbesola introduced a new anthem, coat of arm, new school uniform and other emblems which the governor maintained were to promote the state culture.

Federal officials viewed the move as “secessionist” and reportedly had Mr. Aregbesola closely monitored by the Department of State Security and other security agencies. He was also accused of having links with Islamic militants outside the country.

The allegations were fiercely rejected by the ACN and Mr. Aregbesola, who accused the federal security units of “overzealousness”.

Justifying its decision to behave like Osun and the other states, the Bayelsa state governor said the emblems are to brand the state, and are cardinal to the development effort of the oil-rich state.

“This decision also underscores government’s belief that this state, like any other state, is where the Ijaws, the fourth largest ethnic nationality, has as its home. Bayelsa is home to all Ijaws both at home and abroad,” the statement said.

“The emblem therefore will help serve as a unifying force and rallying point for all our people.  It says a lot about the preservation of our culture, our essential values as a people and as a race.”

Eminent citizens fault historical claims on 1861 Lagos annexation

August 7, 2012 | 1:18 am

News

BY CHARLES KUMOLU
LAGOS— EMINENT Nigerians yesterday unanimously faulted historical claims that the role played by Late Oba Dosumu on the 1861 annexation of Lagos was against the interest of the city, saying that the monarch was heroic in his dealings with Britain.

They also described the annexation as a commercial adventure, adding that it was not driven by human interest as being claimed by the United Kingdom.

From left: Erelu Abiola Dosumu, Amb. Dapo Fafowora, Chairman and Prof Tekena Tamuno during the 11th brainstorming session on the 1861 annexation of Lagos as a British Crown Colony organised by the Nigeria Institute of International Affairs, NIIA, in Lagos, yesterday. Pix: Joe Akintola, Photo Editor.

This was disclosed at a forum convened by the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, NIIA, entitled: 11th Brainstorming Session On The 1861 Annexation of Lagos As A British Crown Colony: Matters Arising.

Dignitaries at the event, which attracted notable people from the academia, diplomatic corps, legislature and traditional institution include former Head of Interim National Government, Chief Ernest Shonekan, Senator Olorunimbe Momora, Ambassador George Obiozor, Erelu Abiola Dosumu, Mr. Sam Amuka, Publisher/Chairman, Vanguard Newspapers, Dr. Walter Ofonagoro, and Ambassador Robert Clark.

Others were Prof Rafiu Akindele, Prof Tekena Tamuno, Prof Margaret Vogts, Prof Bola Akinterinwa, Ambassador Dapo Fafowora and Prof Alaba Ogunsanwo among others.

In her remarks Erelu Dosumu regretted that Oba Dosumu’s role in the annexation of Lagos as a British colony had been wrongly placed on the wrong side of history.

See more photos here

According to her, “while it is tempting to want to join the argument on the different and sometimes distorted accounts on the role of Oba Dosumu in signing the treaty ceding Lagos to the United Kingdom, I simply would like to use this opportunity to welcome you to the celebration which started a year ago, where experts, historians, actors and actresses are putting the records straight through intellectual discourses, workshops and a host of other interesting activities.

“If there is any other message I have today, it is the fact that the treaty of Lagos was about trade, it established a relationship with Her Majesty, Queen Victoria’s government and Lagos, which later expanded to Nigeria as a whole. The treaty of Lagos was about promotion of trade and investment and economic cooperation in general and not territorial takeovers, which my extensive research revealed.”

In addition, Dosumu said, “today August 6, 2012 makes it exactly 151 years down the line, the fact that Nigeria is proud more than ever to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the United Kingdom in a special relationship which the government and people of our two countries are keen to promote, speaks volume about the efficacy of the treaty of Lagos and the role of Oba Dosumu over a century ago.”

Historical background of annexation

Similarly, Mr. Alex Ekeanyanwu, in his lecture entitled: British Pre-Colonial Engagement With Nigerian Chiefs: Oba Dosumu In The Annexation of Lagos stated that accusing Dosunmu of  weakness in his engagement with Britain was misplaced.

He said: “Accusing Dosumu of docility or weakness in his engagement with the British is completely misplaced. If anything, Oba Dosumu should be seen as a strategic thinker, who foresaw the consequences of opposing Britain with respect to the take over of Lagos as has been seen in the cases of King Pepple of Bonny, Jaja of Opobo, Nana of Itsekiri and Ovonramen of Benin.”

Ekeanyanwu further said, “even though the British in identifying the annexation said the measure had become indispensable to the complete suppression of slave traders and kidnappers, who oppressed them, the fact indeed was that Britain was determined to exercise political control over Lagos and appropriate all economic benefits from the strategic location of Lagos.”

Continuing, he said, “the political environment was conducive for British intervention. The crises of succession which dated back from the death of Oba Olugun Kutere in 1881 had become a destabilising factor. The misunderstanding between two rival branches of the ruling house in Lagos represented by Akitoye and Kosoko provided an enabling environment for Consul Beecroft to strike.”
Islam for Muslims / There Is No Compulsion To Islam - Sheik Dr Ahmad Abubakar Gumi by topsy1971: 12:56am On Aug 07, 2012
Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Abubakar Gumi

By SaharaReporters, New York

Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Abubakar Gumi, the Saudi Arabia-based Nigerian Islamic scholar, stated this evening that there is no compulsion on non-Muslims to convert to Islam. Mr. Gumi made the assertion in his ongoing Ramadan sermon at the historic Sultan Muhammadu Bello Mosque in Kaduna.

The teaching came against the background of a recent  statement by the militant Islamist group, Boko Haram, demanding that President Goodluck Jonathan convert to Islam.

A source who attended the Ramadan teaching at the mosque said the cleric also warned Muslims to remain focused and deeply committed to true Islamic doctrines and teachings in order to avoid the wrong application of their faith.

The source said, “Mallam [Teacher] made it clear today that there is no compulsion and forceful conversion to our Islamic religion. He explained that enemies of Islam and some misguided Muslims are responsible for creating confusion and division among Muslim Ummah.”

The source disclosed that Sheik Gumi also said that there were deliberate plans by some to present Islam in bad light. “He made it clear that Muslims are not against Christians or any religion, but wondered why it is that whenever the talk about Sharia comes up, some lie and throw up all kinds of falsehood that there is a plot to Islamize Nigeria.”

Our source said Mr. Gumi contended that there was considerable evidence that Sharia law had helped to reduce moral vices in Zamfara State and other areas. He wondered why Muslims come under unnecessary attacks from certain quarters in the course of practicing their beliefs. He then enjoined Muslims to remain law abiding and to embrace good religious knowledge for the reduction of ignorance.

The source added that Sheik Gumi extolled his audience as well as Muslims to work towards ensuring that only right and moral leaders are elected henceforth. The cleric argued that the election of such leaders would address many challenges in Nigeria.

Sheikh Gumi disclosed his agreement with another fellow who argued that democracy was anti-Islam and should be avoided. “Malam told us that democracy should be embraced to ensure equality, justice and fairness. He said it is not possible to follow some teachings in Egypt and other countries whose situations are not the same as ours.”

In concluding his talk, Sheikh Gumi implored Muslims to seek knowledge in order to know what they are doing and to follow Allah accordingly.

We killed soldiers in maiduguri, gombe and Damaturu... BH
By SaharaReporters, New York

The Jama’atu Ahlis Sunnah Lidda’awati Wal Jihad, better known as Boko Haram, claims to have killed many soldiers in last weekend’s attacks against security operatives in some states in Nigeria’s northeastern region.
Abul Qaqa, the purported spokesperson of the sect, said that the security operatives were killed in Kaleri, Maiduguri, and in Damaturu, and in Gombe, where he said six soldiers were killed.

He further stated that in Damaturu, a sect member detonated a car loaded with explosive devices, killing some soldiers.

In an email sent to reporters, Qaqa said: “On Saturday at about 6 o’clock in the evening, our warriors and Allah’s followers on a mission were attacked by security operatives of the JTF at Kaleri in Maiduguri. As Allah’s grace is on us we succeeded in killing and sending many of them to their graves.”

“However, we triumphed in killing six soldiers in an encounter in Gombe town. We also, got victory in Damaturu at 12 noon when the JTF attempted to capture one of our faithful in a car loaded with bombs at their check point. He killed them on alert of their evil intention.”

In a story yesterday, SaharaReporters reported the killing of four soldiers at a Damaturu checkpoint.

Religion / Re: Should A Christain Be Moved By A Horoscope Prediction? by topsy1971: 1:52pm On Feb 22, 2012
Practising astrology does not have negative effects on christianity. Christianity is a relationship between you and your God. Those who sees christianity as religion are the confusionists and problem-creating hypocrites. Coming to astrology, it is an edge given by God to mankind to make human beings assume a more Godly form. Remember God created us in his own image, and if we remove sins and relate with him as HE expects, we can see beyond our physical nature. Astrology is a science practised by the ancients including Moses. They were revealed to him on mount Sinai by God HIMSELF so as to know the future and take decisions to guide the Isrealites.

None of the teacherS of astrology, both ancient and mordern ever denied the existent of God and man's irrevocable command from God to serve HIM. William Lilly and Ptolemy are renowned astrology authorities. They always mentioned that only God can change what astrology has revealed to happen. Some people says astrology is idolatory. Which Idols are being worshipped?

Astrology centres around using the position of the stars, planets, their positions in the zodiac and aspects between them to determine what God wants to do immediately or in the near or far future. It is a secret that selfish people will always discourage you from knowing because you can never be deceived once you are versed in it. Your state of purity and cleanliness determines the extent to which secrets can be revealed to you.

I know when to travel, invest, quit my job for another one, start a business and even determine whether a sick person will survive or not. I can use anybody's birthday and birth location to determine his financial prospects and his natural areas of excellence or failure. Those who are more learned can determine lifespan but not actual death time.(Only Gods determines that).

There is a question that people often ask: If my destiny is already fixed by my horoscope, why do i need to pray?? You need to pray and still serve God to change your bad destiny to Good one. Remember when King Hezekiah was destined to die, he prayed to God and God added 15 years to his life.

The horoscope is real and revealing.

It may be an early signs of God's calling. Sudden loss of appetite for blood containing food is usually one of the signs of spirituality. My service is free. Otherwise, you can consult any good man of God for councelling if you don't believe in astrology.

Career / Re: Giving Up Banking For London South Bank University by topsy1971: 7:36am On Jul 11, 2011
My fellow colleague, bank is not a place for engineers. I am an engineer formerly working in a bank. I have to pull out even without a job at hand then and went for my M.sc before joining a multinational in Nigeria. I advise you go for the UK course and seek for better job thereafter.

Romance / Re: Facebook? The Couple? The Boss? by topsy1971: 7:23am On Jul 11, 2011
The Boss must have thought deeply before taking the decision to sack her. In my candid opinion, I support the sacking for gross indiscipline and potential corruption of other colleagues in the office. We all know that precedence is difficult to amend. If such action is not taken on her, other co-workers might start to request for vacations or work-free breaks under flimsy excuses.
Crime / Re: Chinyere Ahaiwe Thief! by topsy1971: 2:50pm On Jul 09, 2011
The post is both suspicious and stupid. You know the name of a thief, the type of car she drives, the country she stays, Why on earth has your common sense not tell you that you should inform interpol. Do nlders look like policemen? You better stay of your intention to start a scam.
Business / Re: What Can You Do To Make Money? by topsy1971: 2:06pm On Jul 09, 2011
Very easy, look at your immediate environment. Size up the people around and identify various things that worries them. You can turn their problems to money.

@egift. Enugu's neatness does not cut accross. The pix you post here are for independent layout, upper chime and other good areas.
Why not post pix of other areas like Abakpa, Obiangwu, coal camp, agbani etc.
Politics / Re: Oshiomhole Denies Impregnating 24 Year Old Undergraduate. by topsy1971: 4:44pm On Jun 22, 2011
What do you expect his detractors to say? The governor has successfully blocked all the money-siphoning routes of the destroyers of Edo state.
You need to see his achievement in the state in just less than three years. This type of blackmail is too cheap to derail the determination and the resolve to liberate Edo citizens from past disatrous and woeful governance.
We are currently enjoying ring road, Akpakpava rd, sapele rd.
Pls extend your excellent works to Uselu(Lagos rd) and Aduwawa(auchi rd)
Long live comrade Oshiomole, Long live Edo state.
