Lol. If He was a failure Jesus wouldn't have risen from the grave. He would have stayed dead. No he did not. Death couldn't hold Him captive. Who born death well. Many are called but few are chosen and God knows those who are His. He will never lose any that belongs to Him, not even one. Hahaha. My God is a good God yes He is. Here is to cap it all, He put your idol under my feet so that I can smash his evil skull as I well please. I no fit laff. Sweet! Choi. This is the life! |

Shdemidemi, the thing is you argue so blindly and have not been able to dispute the Scriptures all quoted here proving that God still talks to people today. That is why I said your mind is filled with misinterpretation of the Word as well as religious dogmas. Whoever told you the author of a book condemns himself to silence so that any confusing aspect of his work should be left to people's subjective interpretation of it? If you wrote a book, does that prevent you from entertaining any questions about you or your book or does the book or, say, novel answer any question about who the writer is, where he lives, what he loves or hates, what prompted writing the book, his inspiration, etc? If I asked you any of these questions would you say they are simply needless because you had already written a novel? Wouldn't that make you look absolutely absurd? If the Bible was meant to answer every question we have or may have about God or the meaning of His Word, why then did Jesus say in John 16:12-13 that He still had many things to say but that the Holy Spirit would guide us into all truth? You may ignore this question again because you're used to arguing blindly and it may well be my last post on this topic because my aim is already accomplished - to show you the truth backing it up with Scriptures that God who talked yesterday, talks today and tomorrow because He never changes much contrary to what you ignorantly think that He talked yesterday but is silent today, yet you claim to know the Scriptures. |

nep2ra:Now what is that to you? Follow Jesus, not men. That is why the Bible is given to you so that you will not be deceived. Every man shall give account of his life. The Christian Faith is a personal race. Your pastor will not run it for you neither will your dad or mom or loved ones run for you. Everybody is on his or her own. If the pastors have deviated from their Calling to engage in other things in order to enrich themselves, you did not send them; God will judge everything done in the flesh whether secret or known. 1 Like |

I see. The solution, then, is to slander and sling mud at churches? Clap for yourself. Tell me, how many churches have you built to preach the true Word of God? You will not build but you are eager to destroy what others have built. Why don't you start a church and preach the undiluted Word of God. Isn't it still reaching out to people with the knowledge of the true Word of God? What happened to taking a matter to God in prayer? Do you feel God takes too long to answer prayers to justify taking matters into your hands? You have no power to change man. Only God does. He who does not gather scatters and a city divided against itself will fall. God did not make you a judge. All He requires from you is that you follow Him. Simple as that. Every other thing is secondary. 3 Likes |

Shdemidemi, Tgirl4real and Ayoku777. You guys have said all there is to say. Wonderful contribution. Frosbel, wish you luck with your thousand-man-march revolution. Hope it makes CNN headlines. While they are reaching out to the lost, the perishing, the sick and the hurting like Christ said we should, all you care about is pulling down churches. Sadly, this is not the last we have heard of this kind of brutality. As long as polygamy exists, as long as ladies play blind to the quick-tempered nature of the guys they are 'in love' with, as long as men continue to believe that resorting to fisticuffs is the best way to tame a woman, the story continues... |

qstar:It is like asking why God should bring those who will make heaven into the world since they are destined to make heaven. Why not create them in heaven rather than bring them into the world to suffer? Equal opportunity and risk. He is a just God. He is impartial. If He brought the righteous into the world He will also bring the wicked or sinner. However, God gives both equal opportunity to accept Him and the same warning of punishment if they refuse and die in their sins. Choice separates the righteous from the sinner and the fairness of God makes the both of us come into existence. |

Kay17: ^^One thing is clear from that story - it is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of God. He created Pharaoh for the purpose of showing His greatness and ability to save. However, that does not nullify his freewill. If that was the case then God would have used Pharaoh's freewill to set the Israelites free without having to bother Moses. Besides, who are you, O man, to talk back at God? Will the thing created ask its Creator why did you make me so? If you have the right to make one thing short or tall, why should you question God who made you for His pleasure? Nevertheless, God would be unjust to monopolize the freewill of a person and still punish him for refusing him just as people ignorantly believe Judas had no freewill since he was destined to betray Jesus. In the case of the both of them, they had already made their choice, and God sealed their choice to show the world that He is God and nothing, no king or emperor, nobody great or small can thwart His plan. That is what God proved in their case. Moreover, His plans and purposes are intended for the welfare and good of His children. He will show His greatness when it comes to saving His people. Read the Bible for yourself before categorizing my posts as silly excuses which ironically amounts to anything you tell God in judgment for refusing to accept Jesus into your life. |

Shdemidemi, it is needless attempting to show you the truth of the Word because your mind is chocked full of misinterpretation of the Word and dogmas. You have not for once proved your claim that God does not speak today. You are yet to convincingly convince anyone through the Scriptures as I have done that God is silent in our age. Since you have nothing more to offer than your personal erroneous conviction of the impossibility of God talking today, I leave you to your opinion. 1 Like |

Goshen360: We have many things to deal with in this thread....I tell y'all honestly. Please go back to the Bible. Is it not written that the Law was a shadow of things to come, not the substance itself? Read Hebrews chapter 10. If under the old covenant, where access to the Holies was restricted to just one person, the High priest, if under the old covenant where the Holy Spirit had not been poured out on the believers where God still talked to His people through spiritually imperfect vessels like the prophets and priests who had been given the Holy Spirit in measure (just them), then how much more will God talk to those under the new covenant where access to the Holies is now open to all seeing that the curtain was rent in two when Jesus died signifying freedom and access to God, how much more will God talk to us having poured out His Holy Spirit to ALL (not just prophets and priests alone in the old covenant) WITHOUT MEASURE? Are you saying that the blood of bulls and goats that cleansed sins externally under the old covenant is far better than the blood of Jesus that cleanses us spiritually being spotless? Hebrews 8:6 - But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. God doesn't call people out of the mountain like he did to Moses and some old testament prophets. Torchwave is only presenting a mixture teaching - what was obtainable under the old and apply to the new covenant Christians.God calls us in the way He chooses. He does not have a particular rigid method of getting our attention. Before I go further, I want to remind you that there is a general calling to everybody and a specific Calling to certain individuals. I have made that clear in my previous posts. Now, don't you think that if under the Law which was a model of the real thing, the exact but imperfect shape of what is to be built in the future, God gave calling to certain people, His watchmen, to make known His Words, how much more, then, will God give the same calling to certain individuals in the New Covenant which is the real thing, the substance itself where the Law was just a shadow? When you want to build a park or a house, you first make a model of what you want to build. However, the model cannot replace the real thing which is far better though both are not different in shape. That is the analogy between the Old Covenant, the model, and the New Covenant, the real thing itself or the substance. About the Scripture you quoted, I do not disagree with you. Yes, that is the whole essence of the New Covenant. However, in the words of Jesus Himself in John 16 12 I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. If the Words of Christ were meant to be the complete instruction of God to us, why then did Christ say He still had many things to say but that the Holy Spirit would be the one to tell us? People take scriptures like Jeremiah 1:5 to justify their callings. What was said here in Jeremiah 1:5 wasn't said to any other man but to Jeremiah. It wasn't the call or calling of Goshen or any other man, but Jeremiah's. Under the new covenant, every Christian is called but sent to do different thing. Your assignment (what you sent to do) varies in the gift (tools) you're endowed to work with. These is where the ministry gift comes in, teacher, apostle, evangelist, giving ministry, administrative, etc.Proves beyond all doubt you have less than little understanding and application of the Scriptures is all I can tell you here. I will not waste words on correcting your notion on the universality of the application of God's Words to His people. Read the Word of God and tell me His Words to Isaiah, Jeremiah, Moses, Ezekiel, Peter, Paul, etc were meant for them alone and them only. Lastly, Romans 8:30 completes and end this argument - Does it apply to leadership\ministry gifts only or to all Christians? This is an example of general calling to the body of Christ, whether leaders or followers. It says nothing about specific people. It talks about those who accept Christ into their lives. General in application. |

qstar:Like the way He hardened Pharaoh's heart so that He would display His mercy, greatness and ability to save towards the children of Israel who had been in slavery and bondage more than 400 years in Egypt, and to the world in general. Yep, that is like God, just and merciful Saviour. He will not execute His judgment arbitrarily because He has a set time for everything in heaven and on earth. Everything He does is done at the fullness of time. There is a time to be born and a time to die, a time to sow and a time to reap, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to toil and a time to rest, a time of mercy and a time of judgment. He is a God of order. Everything happens at its own time, at God's set time. The devil knows that just as he knows his time is short. He knows his time to be bound in the bottomless pit for a thousansd years and be eventually thrown into the Lake of fire is approaching. I serve a God of order, not randomness. Moreover, God is not slack concerning His promises as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). |

Op, seeking direction from man will further compound your confusion of who to serve. You said no one should tell you to pray to God. Read the comments already given and tell me if there is any better suggestion than that. It is logical, not spiritual, to note that the true living God will reveal the answer to your question if you seek His help in this matter. He may well be the one who is drawing you closer to Himself. I'm sorry but that is the only thing that makes sense. Ask the true living God of all creation to show you who to serve, Jesus or Allah or Buddah etc. The rest will fall in place. If God is God He will never ignore your prayer. May you find the answer you seek. 1 Like |

However, my advice to you was meant for future application to avoid any misunderstanding of the same nature. Keep the fire of God burning and remain blessed 1 Like |

ayoku777: Hmmm. Nice to find kindred souls. People who just want to behold his glory or die beseeching too.thank you. When you said it is not easy, believe me it is not. God has a reason for making the journey difficult but extremely rewarding. Besides helping to strengthen our faith, it also helps to gauge the intensity of our desire and hunger for Him. Someone with little desire or hunger for Him would have quit a long time ago. Everything you said is apt. I have come too far to give up. It is not an option at this stage of my journey. It is refreshing to see someone in this forum who shares the belief, more like conviction, that dialogue with God is possible. 3 Likes |

God, where are You? This is not fair o! Lol. Kidding God and His mysterious ways...past finding out. I am really glad that I'm on this journey to know God. It gives everyday a purpose so that I am always looking forward to the next day by preparing for it (making sure nothing makes me miss my daily appointment with God). This is where I'd rather be than anywhere else. I'm not a little shocked by many Christians who believe communion or dialogue with God is impossible. They have no problem believing a demon can talk to someone but it becomes blasphemy or heresy to say God talks to you daily or that you asked God a question and He replied. To them it is simply unacceptable. In addition, they are of the opinion...well, let me leave that. This is not the time or place to address such belief. This hunger to know God is really tearing me apart. The desire is just mounting into an unbearable degree. Sometimes I just wish...(sighs) Wherever you are, Udeme4Christ, Fruitfulvine, Elijah78 and Ademola (not really sure I got the last name right), I pray you guys have not given up. I have never stopped praying for grace for us to be successful in our quest to know the Lord God Almighty like we know a bosom friend. Grace be to you all already in this quest and those inspired to embark on this journey. Amen. 1 Like |

I mean you should not only specify the female folk in any detail you give but also the male folk. It helps achieve the element of universal application rather than leaving it to be interpreted as being gender-specific which is very offensive. Stay blessed |
