i lived in calabar for a number of years and also schooled at the prestigious University of Calabar. i'm inclined to agree with you on most of the issues you raised but i would like you to modify the description "calabar people" to "good calabar people"

majority of those i met were okay, but there are others too who are not so hospitable. while they had the other qualities you described like honesty, humility et al, they were a bit hostile to "foreigners" especially ibos (of which i am proudly one) and surprisingly a lot of akwa ibomites were treated badly in calabar.

howerever, like i said, the overwhelming majority of those i met were good. and their girls. . . . . . pathway to paradise , their food. . . . . yummie the city very clean, they are not rich but they are happy people.

Calabar is the place to be. i hope the next governor wont spoil the city/state

in a relationship, the two peeps involved must stand by each other. if arsenal plays, i support them if they aint playing against my reds. why must you taunt my boys. we had a bad night but we showed great heroism and you must have heard the commentator say that the truism of great teams is that they have good results when they play badly. liverpool did that tonight. played badly (even with 11 men) against a strong team like porto (porto and portuguese teams have great record against english teams) then we had a red card, 10 against 11 in a game where we were struggling with eleven men. . . . . yet we survived. . . even almost stealing a victory at the dying minutes.
