Ashes0725: Hello everyone, i had my dv visa interview yesterday and it was sosuccessful and stress free. The
CO that interviewed me on window 13 was black and indeed nice. No tough questions at all, she even gave me a chance to go outside and get my us address and return same day. The questions i was asked were peculiar to what i do as a videomaker and computer science graduate, and i think that format also applies to everyone else. Even while waiting and listening to other people's interviews, the main question i heard was like "what was your favourite course in school?" and when you reply, they'll ask you to talk a little bit about it. So you can as well prepare a particular subject you'd like to talk about.

kcc can't reply u if you dont request from them i ll advice you to send email to confirm about ur form processing consining ur CN i cant say precisly when u ll be schedule for ur interview but let wait for the for the next visa bulletin....faith works wonders

my fellow successful nairalanders,to my little observation on 2013 DV,i observd that woman has an upper hand at this year DV my reason is this out of 46 people that registr from me is only my wife that won also from a friend of my 3 married woman won from him i also observ some comment on this forum and other immigration forum that my fiance or my wife was the pricipal applicant........hope my observation rit?..........faith works wonder

nusad: Goodday to all Nairalander. please o, my cousin won DVlottery 2012 and was given a date for july 26,2012. she was unable to meet to some certain issues and latter reschedule to august. she was unable to meet up again to that second appointment. ishe sent a mail for another reschedule but yet, she has not received any date. and DV2012 will close by Sep 30. please what can we do o. thank you oo

from little idea have in this good forum i think ur coursin shouldnt av reschedule her interview second time cos is rear to have a 3rd chance with us embassy......bt i ll advice her to call the embassy maybe she can still be favour.............faith works wonders

after sending the first document to the state, have any of u received any call or e-mail from the us department of state.pls update me so that i can know what to do

you can't received any call or email from kcc,until you send an email to them to confirm the process off ur document,but it may take some days to respond.......remember to add ur CN,DOB AND UR NAME..........faith works wonders

tosrich: My interview experience:
The computer refused to call my no for interview after almost everybody have been attended to, even those that came after me. I was alone with my thought thinking of so many things that might have gone wrong with serious fear in me. Most of the COs have already through for the day. At around 11:45am one of the CO that was about closing noticed that I have not been attended called me to his window and said, Sir, what are u waiting for? And I said I've not been attended to and he was amazed to hear that, again fear griped me when I saw his facial expression.
He asked me to go back to where I was sitting and he went to meet one black lady. After like 3minutes the lady called me to her window and requested for my passport and my document [original and photocopy]. When she collected it she just shook her head and the I was shivering again. Later she said go to that window[the CO that earlier noticed me on the sit]. And that was how it started.

CO: good morning sir
Me: good morning sir

CO: rais up your right hand and swell that you are going to say the truth
ME: I sworn

CO: is this your form (he showed me the form I sent to kcc with my passport on it) for signing.
Me: I collected it and I signed and return it back to him.

CO: what is your highest edu. Qualification?
ME: Bsc in Biz admin

CO: what courses did you do in your last semester?
ME: I mentioned 4 courses that crossed my mind at that time

CO: tell me your project topic and discuss it with me?
ME: I mention the topic and I discused the abstract of my project topic.

CO: what is your recommendation?
ME: I told him.

CO: what are u doing presently?
ME: am doing my NYSC in a local govt in ondo state.

CO: what department are you and what do they do in your dept.
ME: am in treasury dept and we prepare budget,account and expenditure of the LG.
He asked to stop and the next thing I saw him doing was that he wrote DV ISSUED on my file. And he returned all my original document to me and asked me to wait. He circled one addres in a paper and asked me to go and pick up my visa in 5 working days and lastly he said CONGRATULATION, WELCOME TO AMERICA..

I thank God because I had lost hope being the last person to be interviewed.

tosrich: I paid a total of 330$...the consular officer asked question on my bsc project and the courses I did in my final year in the university and also question about place of primary assinment because am currently serving.. And to the glory of God I've been granted my visa.

friend what off ur SSCE result?you are good to go with ur GCE with good grade but I ll advice you go with an evidence that you pass trough 12years first education,because I read one interview experience in one immigration forum that take place in ghana the guy went with his GCE result only and the CO asked him to provide an evidence that he pass through the first education and he was reschedule,so I ll advice you to try and go with ur high school testimonial to back it up................................faith works wonder

ferdiii: Yeah, if you know you do not have English and Maths credit with three other subjects as your O'level is your highest education qualifications, you have a long shot at the visa.

man forget that E pass was well recognized at embassy,just make sure ENG&MATHS reflect in ur certificate because anything below E pass ll not be reflect on certificate,................success story ahead us bros&sis let be strong in the lord it is done ..........faith work wonders

hmmm DV2012 is about to end but he can give a try and I ll advice this person to act fast now and make sure he update kcc 2weeks after the form been sent to know how it goes and have read something similar to this in one immigration forums and the person received there visa at last min even they received it@last day of dv,my brother go and strike ur giant and you we come here to shear the success with us................................faith work wonders

hello my fellow,plz help me out on this,i unsigned my NL1 when I first send it to kcc so a later send a mail to them and they reply that I should resend the form and sign it all,so I correct it I sign my and I also sign for my babe so I send the form to my wife to sign and send it to send it tru Nipost due to my work because am always busy with my work so when getting back at weekend so I later get to know that she sent it without her signatures,plz what can we do to this?should I resend the form again because it we deliver by Nipost on monday or can we have a grace sign it on interview day?
2 petitioner name,i wrote each our name at each forms hope hope this is rit?

happy sunday to you all and am also congratulating does who have received there visa and congratulations in advance for we that hopping for own gooday,firstly I want plead to does who have received there visa to come around to shear there experience here in order for we that looking forward to our own day can learn from them because this forum is too silent,am pleading to all dv visa archivers to come around to share there experience.
Secondly I went tru a friend NL1 that he sent to kcc and I observe that he did nt sign his DS-230 PART1 and he fill that his family we move with him now also fill the part that his family we join him later,hope this wouldn't affect him or what did you think he can do?

My questions are....should she full and submit the forms with her new name or her maiden name which she used to apply...should she apply for a passport with the new name or maiden name? I ll advice ur sister to make the traditional marriage(registry)been done before sending there form to kcc and she should use her husband name and I ll also advice her to go with there intro pix and there courtship pix to defend that they have been together before the result came out,because am also in this situation rit now but I have some document to back it up that we have been together for long,dis are the document I have with me to defend my maybe you also have something off such,immediately after our intro four years ago I went straight to high court of justice to make an affidavit for changing my name to my husband name and I have an acount that I open In my husband name and we have a babe that can also answer question that they may ask and our traditional registry marriage certificate but we have that after the dv came in order to make it legal,I have a strong faith the we ll receive our visa in jesus name because faith work wonders.......glo

@tosrich the isue off national population birth certificate was valid for does who ware born within 1991 till the very moment but if you have been alive before then mean that the birth certificate you have with you is valid to use......i wish u and all winners of 2012&13 best off luck..............faith work wonders

what off there passport is it with them,and are you sure that consular just told them this tru with without any pepper off approved or denied,tell them to cheer more how the interview goes so we ll be abble to know what to say about it,because is not much understandable that statement the am tru with u,so make it more clearer........

yes married b'cos we have married in a traditional way but not yet legal then but on last thursday we went to registry to make it legal hope this wouldn't affect?...........hope to hear from u again thanks

plz I need advice on this issue my wife won the lottery and we av been together for good 5 year before we have a baby and our baby is now 3 years and very identical but not legally married but we make a traditional way off paying the bride price so when lottery result came we plan to for registry to make it legally,and the date for registry was last thursday 31st may and I write it like that on that form as a date of marriage but when she apply for the dv she use my surname and we have filled and sent it back,hope this wouldn't affect or what did u think we should do........hope to hear from asap thanks
