RomanceRe: Why Do Girls Think That Bankers Are Flirts? by toyboy1(m): 9:04am On Dec 21, 2007
Y d gals think bankers are flirt,
I am not new to such assertion by people, and i have so much gotten so used to it that it doesnt bother me anymore.
I have had gals come to my desk and leave phone numbers, some who couldn't come to my desk drop their numbers with the security men at the entrance to give to me.
But as a personal rule, i dont date my customers, cos my appearance in d office is always business like.
Just like Fabiyi said, being a flirt is a function of your person and not your profession. Ladies generally flock around bankers, especially good looking ones who dress sharply too, so u wouldnt blame those use the oppurtunity to lay as many as they can, its only cos they have got willing accomplices/victims.  QED
RomanceRe: If Your Boyfriend Keeps Many Female Friends by toyboy1(m): 7:40pm On Dec 17, 2007
@poster,
I dont see how ur bofriend keeping a lot of female friend pose a problem to u. I for one have a large list of female friends and the list keeps increasing every day, but it has not in any time diminish the attention i give to my galfriend at anypoint in time. tho at times, my galfriend gets jealous and all dat, I expect that to happen cos she's human, moreso, when any of the gals starts acting funny, i tend to remind them that i have a serious relatonship. Mind u, my male friends out number the females, but people around u only tend to see the opposite sex. Get to understand him fully, u dont expect him to lose all his friends - female i mean- for u alone, cos he will become miserable n u wont get the best of him. i probably believe he's the outgoing social type who mixes easily, , but u c only what u want to c - the gals. if e truely loves u, then u have nuttin to fear.

RomanceRe: I'm 39 Hes 25 by toyboy1(m): 6:00pm On Dec 06, 2007
@poster,
use your head as well as ur heart.
Nigerian men hardly marry ladies older than them, even if they do,the age gap in btw them is always 5 or less. We men (nigerian) are very egoistic, we want to be seen as d head, boss and all dat in a relationship. For that age gap, i smell a rotten rat.
Do not commit ur self to him, and talk to him about a vist to his family in naija for familiarisation, this u must do face to face with him so as to see his reaction. i am sure he will object professing one excuse after the other, when this happens, u sure know what he wants.

RomanceRe: Ekiti-ijebu Romance by toyboy1(m): 8:38am On Dec 05, 2007
This story is quite touching and true cos i ve been there.
I used to have this galfriend from Ijebu, i am from Ondo state, we were so much in love, liked each other like a brother would a sister, the closeness and love was just too strong.
my parent opposed the affair, thou not strongly, the major problem was her dad. This man used to be on good talking and greeting terms with me until he got to know i am from Ondo. The hatred he now had for was second to non.
He called me one day on told me to stop coming to His house to see his daughter! He equally gave same matching order to the daughter, as in, he doesnt want to see us togerther.
It got so bad that we had to meet far away from where we both stay discreetly. we couldnt take it anymore and we had to part amicable. we still talk every now and then despite the fact that shes married now. Her hubby even knows abt me.
I have an uncle who married an Ijebu lady, they have been married since 1975, yet my extended family never embraced her as a daughter inlaw. She has no friend within our family, i mean the older generation. Its so bad, that if we are going to my home town for a family occasion, she packs all she needs - food and even water for the period she will be there, the distrust is that bad.

@ poster,
except u guys are ready to sacrifice and cut ties with family for love sake until they come to terms with ur being together, its better to part amicable.

@all
What is it with Ijebu and Ondo/Ekiti? y d hatred/

RomanceRe: Pls Help, I Want My Fikky To Big by toyboy1(m): 6:35pm On Dec 04, 2007
I once gave a guy a simple method that always work.
Measure tthe lenght of ur floor to ur ceiling, get a rope of same lenght, cut off the an inch, 2 or 3 inches depending on the lenght u want ur "fikky" to grow to.
Tie one end of the rope to the ceiling, and the other to ur "fikky" pls do this while sitting on a table.
now jump off the table and lie flat on the groung, most def, ur fikky will elongate by that shortfall in lenght of the rope from the ceiling to the floor.
Very effective method, it works like magic. try it pls.

Hi all,
Who said banking is stressful? Then quit and go work as a civil servant where u can go haome at 2pm n get peanuts at month end which isn't even regular,
No pain, no gain,
Every good job comes with crazy targets and unbelievable deadlines.
I cant leave this job for any other except Oil n gas industry, not even telecoms,
The point is you are well paid for the stress, So thank God for the job you have.
Cheers.

Bet u guys heard of UBAs' N21B PAT?? whats ur view??
FamilyRe: smiley :-))) by toyboy1(m): 1:17pm On Nov 21, 2007
Patsy,
what were ur expectations when u married him?
where these expectations in tandem with the reality on ground?
if u actually knew all these b4 d marriage and u went along, then, u r not being truthful to ur self about what you are experiencing now. Cos u cant just wish his son or ex wife away, they are part of his existence as well, but if u think theres so much attachment and leaning towards his ex? then u need to have a heart to heart talk with ur hubby, then of course take d case to God.
RomanceRe: Is 4 Years Too Long For Courtship? by toyboy1(m): 8:36am On Nov 08, 2007
Whao, a whole lot has been said on this issue, mine will rather be another angle to the topic.

1. Courtship is not same as dating, the former is for mature adults with marriage in view withing the shortest possible time, while latter is for those whose mind are not made up yet.
2. There's no set time frame for courtship.
3. After six months in a relationship/courtship, you should be able to deduce if there's a future in it or not.
4. Plans do change, so do people. So even when theres a clear cut arrangement toward marriage, unforseen circumstances could come shatter your plans, hence theres should always be a plan B or C in case of contigencies.
5. Marriage should be a life time investments, so look very well before you jump into it, if u hastily jump in, u might hastily jump out too.
6. Court for at least a year before marriage.
7. Court for no more than two years except theres a geninue reason for it[the reason must be good enough]
Having courted for 4 yrs? dats too long in my opinion, except thats the period you have gotten to know each other all in all. No church in nigeria will allow that, hence its too long.
RomanceRe: Would You Marry Your Age Mate? by toyboy1(m): 5:09pm On Nov 03, 2007
I can marry my age mate, or an older lady.
Seriously speaking, before now, all i dated are older gals, cos i find them easy to relate to and have meaningful conversations with.
My ex-galfriend was almost 2 yrs older, she chickened out of the relationship anyway.
Tho am dating a far younger gal whom I hope to marry, if she were to be an older lady, no qualms as long as we cherish each other so much.
BusinessRe: Credit Card In Nigeria: Advantages And Disadvantages by toyboy1(m): 8:47am On Oct 31, 2007
@Boladez,
From ur write up, what u have is a debit Master card. This type of card is 100% cash collaterized. It is tied to the funds in ur dorm account (not linked mind u), which can only be loaded at your instance/instruction on your card.
Credit Master card is equally available on request if you are found credit worthy based on ur income and other documents that will be duly assessed by Risk Asset management.
No one will load your card without your expressed approval/instruction, so once your card is not funded, ur payments will be denied until an instruction is recieved from you.
Debit cards were the first set of cards in Nigeria cos of our unwillingness to pay credits and international payments are involved in this (non repayment of loans/credits led to insolvency of many banks), but right now, things are looking up as credit cards are now every where, even naira dominated ones.
I have debit and credit cards with ECOBANK, call 01-2701323 or 0802-2701323 for ur enquires and complains.
Take care and do have a nice day.
BusinessRe: Credit Card In Nigeria: Advantages And Disadvantages by toyboy1(m): 8:42am On Oct 30, 2007
Its so amazing when I hear naija guys who are supposed to be highly informed talk so ignorantly.
There is credit cards dominated in NAIRA in naija.
The first was started by ECOBANK, while OCEANIC followed. UBA made a false start, and since then we heard nothing from them. Zenith give theirs only to selected individuals.
For OCEANIC, the highest limit u get on your card is N75,000 no matter who you are or how much u earn.
ECOBANK gives u up to 20% of your verifiable annual income on the card accessible only on POS or ATM. Its given to any body so far you have a verifiable income regardless of ur status in the society, either u are a messenger, cleaner, shoe shiner, manager, politician, etc. Once ur income can be duly verified, u qualify, all u need do is pick up an application form + all neccesary documentation in place, u easily have access to funds u dont own without collateral and all neccessary securities for normal loan, and the good part of it is that you have a 40 day interest free period before u bother u head about interest.
What are u still waiting for? Walk into any branch of ECOBANK and pick ur forms today, lets make our society relatively cash free, and lets thrive on credits, cos advanced and civilised society sleep, eat ,and breath credit.

Master card and Visa card are also available.

Jokes EtcRe: $10+$10+$10=$29? Who can solve this? by toyboy1(m): 4:41pm On Apr 13, 2007
the question doesn't conform to the rule of mathmatics!!!

in mathematics, subtraction and division are non associative and commutative while multiplication and addition are both commutative and associative.
in other words, using the simple examples below we can see y we cant lump up subtraction and addition without defining our parameters well enough. same for division and multiplcation.

{1} 2+(3+4) = (2+3)+4
but
{2} 2-(3+4) =/= (2+3)- 4

or 2*(3*4) = (2*3)*4
but
2/(3*4) =/= (2*3)/4

the question is just a silly trick we use to play on innocent friends way back then in high school,
the $1 is missing in the so called tricky nature of the question, but in real mathematically equation the question cant fly- meaning the question itself is wrong.
