Obama is a typical African with the attending bias and xenophobia.

Thats all there is to it.

@poster
it is what it is,would you rather they used one of these pregnant women or the children for sacrifices?irrespective of the right or wrong,i think it better they tell them to leave rather than not saying anything and using them for some ritual
so you think if sacrifices are needed, they wont find someone regardless?
PoliticsRe: 'Return Home', Fashola Charges Nigerians In Diaspora by tpia: 2:55am On Aug 22, 2008
abeg don't go home.

Someday I would like to set up a string of nursing homes overseas catering solely to (elderly) Nigerians. After all, I was reading about Korean nursing homes somewhere in the US, where all the residents are strictly Korean.

I'm serious oh. The nursing homes can even be grouped by tribe - that way people will feel more comfortable and eat the foods they're used to.

God willing sha. Its something I would like to do.

I dey una back- stay where you are.

Nobody should steal my idea oh. angry

I tire for Nigerians. undecided

If an earthquake or some other natural disaster hits, these organizers of festivals and the like wont display any initiative but will prefer to rain curses on the government.

Now they know how to evacuate pregnant women and children because of some religious brouhaha, but can never do the same in a real emergency. undecided

Misplaced priorities is synonymous with (some) Naijas.

dont mean to rain on your parade but if you've ever heard the axiom "In one ear and out the other", thats how this kind of talk usually ends up when you're talking to some Nigerians.

Everyone should stay where they are- I cant emphasize this enough. If Nigeria is making you depressed, then focus on other things besides Nigeria.

He already had a Yoruba wife 20 years earlier.

Even your companion with 86 wives is being warned to repent or face the consequences.

Nigerian faces death for 86 wives

Nigeria's Islamic authority has told the man who has 86 wives to choose only four and repent within three days or else he will be sentenced to death.

The Jamatu Nasril Islam (JNI) passed their verdict on Mohammed Bello Abubakar, 84, according to Sharia law.

The way we Nigerians are bent on kissing Obama's behind when the guy is trying to use every opportunity to show what he thinks of us, is disgraceful, to say the least.

Is it by force to like someone? If the man no wan like us, then why all the tears and wailing nah?

When una no like una selves, why are you so bothered if other people dont like you?

the major thing Ndi is guilty of is that she highlighted the huge disparity betwen Nigeria's rich and poor.

however, she's not the first and wont be the last to do so.

at the very least, it shows she has impressive fundraising skills. Misplaced priorities but not a jailable offence, imo.

realcele:
Good advise gomina(governor) but i suggest you should not be bothered about those abroad there choice, whatever plans you have for the nigerians abroad implement it on the ones in Nigeria and prevent more outflow. Everyday thousands of Nigerians are looking for means to leave the country these are the ones that need help not the ones that are use to having basic things in life like shelter, light , water etc. Fashola and his politicians need a lot of Fixing to be done before giving this advise. I am sure his kids are somewhere abroad leaving in cur de sac residents. He mentioned about Asians going home, he should go there and see what the government is doing, most of the giant companies in the world have something to do in Asia, either manufacturing or outsourcing so citizens can boast of employment but in Nigeria is a different story.

Thanks for your advice and i tell you if i have a means i will leave Nigeria, if not for good at least there is consolation when you suffer in another mans land but not when you are a slave among your own people.

Fashola don't just sit down on give advise you need an armour tank to come and bring people back to Nigeria not just mouth talk
Asians abroad dont run down their countries like Nigerians do. So their govts get enough encouragement from them and foreign investors also get the same.

anyway, I dont support the Nigerian diaspora returning to Nigeria. I think they should remain in permanent exile. They have too much negativity in general.

However, if their host countries decide to force them out, there's little they can do, really, except migrate somewhere else. Not likely to happen anytime soon though.
Relatively recent oil money? I see your point but are you saying the oil & gas industry
by and large has not had any impact in Lagos economy since oil was found in Nigeria?

Is someone suggesting that the current pace real estate is going up in Lagos is one
that can be sustained in the years to come if there is a drastic drop in the price of oil?
I didnt say it has had no impact. Dont read me wrong.

I said lagos has always had this disparity in lifestyle. You'll find grinding poverty in lagos and also the stupendously rich. Both living not too far from one another. This preceded oil money.

Lagos has always been a center of trade. Its a seaport for crying out loud.

The Europeans liked the area- that's why they gave so many places there, British and Portuguese names. Even the Bini were struggling for the place before the British arrived. The people are accomodating- which is more than can be said for most other parts of Nigeria.

Returning Brazilian slaves also made lagos their home.

If oil money dries up many people will return to their states of origin and leave Lagos decongested. It doesnt mean the original inhabitants of Lagos will also leave.

its like saying Kaduna wont function without oil money, imo.
PoliticsRe: Opulence And Chaos Meet In An African Boomtown by tpia: 8:49pm On Aug 20, 2008
Lagos has always been that way- huge gap between the rich and the poor.

nothing new there.

Some of the most expensive property has always been located in Lagos.

Dont confuse lagos money with relatively recent oil money please.

Lagos is not the Niger delta.

Axis:
You have all failed the answer to the simple question asked.
When i say yoruba people don't have sense and are bloody educated illiterates you guys would n't believe me. They just make noise out of nonsense.

Can you imagine Dr. dead brain deepzone saying pomo is healthy. Okay let me educated you, POMO does not have any nutritional value and it is purposely meant for making leather products. Why is it no one else eat pomo in the world, only the yorubas. So you just waste your time eating your supposed to be shoe and bags straight to your stomach with no nutritional addition.

Bonzos!!!
first of all, you're displaying so much bush mentality here. Go and check your facts.

Look, stop being so uncultured and understand that just because you decide to forgo a source of food and deny yourself proper nourishment, doesnt mean everyone else should do the same. Europeans traditionally don't eat corn but feed it to their pigs- that doesnt mean the rest of the world can't eat corn if they want to.

No wonder you're so anally retentive- you're missing out on the good things in life while shouting yourself hoarse over insignificant issues.

Pomo, tripe, tongue, cow hump are all very tasty and delicious. As people are eating their own and clearly enjoying their lives while doing so, you're probably here yelling due to your malmourished state which you havent even realised yet.

Malnutrition makes people unnecessarily cranky, and thats obviously the case with you.

Nothing wrong with pomo oh.  cheesy its very nutritional. If you don't believe me, feed a starving person pomo for two days and see how fast they start looking well fed. Go to Somalia and feed them pomo. They will thank you and give you a chieftancy title.

so in your village, amala is made from dirty cassava peel?
