![]() gosh, I feel for your son. ![]() |
na pomo Axis dey yab like this? The melt in your mouth thick luscious rich nutrient filled bokoto wey dey taste like nectar for mouth? Axis- this is how you develop vitamin deficiency from refusing to eat proper food and depending on empty calories to fill your stomach. not to mention your uncanny familiarity with the different types of garri. ![]() |
tpia, do you really need a state representative to tell the govt what is right. it is 18 years. Children born after that years, are already in the university. 18 years of no single project the federal govt of nigeria can claim they have completed in Yorubaland. 18 years for God sake. So you can agree with me. we do not need the federal govt. We should just pretend that we have no federal govt. Just name one?? many people online, please name one. http://.com
Your state representatives are there for a reason- they are supposed to be representing the interests of their state. Its what they are being paid to do and they collect salaries for their work. So if you refuse to remind them or bring urgent matters to their attention, then dont blame them if they while away the time and prioritize themselves instead of their constituencies. |
this purpulated dey confuse me. Is the word from the color purple? No pun intended. |
contrary to what you think it does come quick for most doctors outside nigeria, here in yankee everyone in med school expects to make well over $100k a year starting off right out of med school. even pharmacists expect to make close to $100k.
oh really? see, this is how some Nigerians give everyone else a 419 rap with their boldfaced lying. ![]() |
hotel in lagos for N2000 ke? which part? |
DRANOEL:You're absolutely wrong. My grandfather in the west has grown pineapples before. Please stop yarning ignorance in your overzealousness. @ Mc Usman: by the way, when did you turn into a Nigerian? You got naturalized or something? ![]() |
abeg Axis maybe you should open thread for you and Deepzone to get to @ gadodago: I said Axis is busy confirming your Lord Lugard theory here. |
name the project now. i want to know that project , in the last 18 years, any project since June 12 1990 that the federal govt of nigeria have ""built and completed""" in Yorubaland , 18 years ago,
I dont have to prove anything to you. If you like, believe, if you like dont believe. It doesnt change what's going on. I said within the last five years and you want to nitpick as if you travelled the length and breadth of the entire country checking every single town and village. If your area is being neglected, then grab hold of your state representatives and let them know. |
Epiphany:I mean, I didnt want to say. ![]() Its not only in the UK oh. Anyone looking for get rich quick jobs, shouldnt really be interested in studying medicine, because the money doesnt come in as soon as they graduate. It takes time. |
seriously, something needs to be done about this problem. Naija guys should call a national conference in order to find out what's going on. Because there are some pictures that scare the daylights out of me, yet the owners of the photos will present them as if they're the best thing since sliced bread. I dey fear oh- before Nigeria gets another title for having the world's ugliest guys. Since we all know that's not true, but it seems some people are on a mission to make it happen. The naija guys I know in real life, are all goodlooking oh. These ones on nairaland who want to give the country a bad name, I dey beg una oh. The goodlooking ones are being outnumbered by you guys. ![]() maybe Brazilian plastic surgeons can help? |
where is gadogado who is as lebanese as I am Mexican. ![]() Has Axis not demonstrated the truth of his [gadogodo's] lord lugard quote right here on this thread? I mean, the guy started well but went downhill so fast it was breathtaking. na today we dey see that kind thing for Africa? |
so tell me which town are you from, And I would point to your development. And please point to any project since June 12 1990 that the federal govt of nigeria have ""built and completed""" in Yorubaland , 18 years ago, name that project please. I do not bring up obj, it tell you that even if a uoruba is president, it does not mean develop would come. At least it shows you the solution is not that option. This is the solution.
I hope you're not saying you know more about my town than I do. The projects I'm referring to are less than five years old. And I dont mean uncompleted ones either. |
In fact, its so hard to have faith in Nigeria anymore, with the number of facially challenged guys who have been posting their pictures on nairaland recently. I doubt many of these people are even Nigerian at all, because 98% of the Nigerian guys in my own vicinity, have all been very presentable for as long as I can remember. I dont know where this new crop of facially challenged Naija men are springing from. They must be related to south or central Africa or something. Maybe the Congo pygmies or kalahari folk. What's going on with the faces, my people. |
4 Play:and I repeat: I thought you were familiar with Nigerian women. Now I know I thought wrong. You must be mistaking some other type of women for Nigerian women. I dont know why good looking Naija women are avoiding you, but maybe a little investigation can solve that mystery. . |
4play- do you need to be hooked up with some beautiful Nigerian women? I kind of feel bad that you've never met any. ![]() Are they avoiding you or something? ![]() |
vislabraye: ![]() I keep seeing other parallels in what people are saying here. CEOs in western countries also make staggering amounts of money. Its not a Nigerian only thing. |
DRANOEL:Queenisha is Igbo. whats this obsession with Yoruba women? Are you listening to too much fuji? abi na obesere. |
Axis:unlike you, I cant fabricate stories out of thin air. I wasnt brought up to disrespect my elders either, regardless which tribe they're from. I dont believe in hasty generalizations or else I could match you story for story if you want to go down that lane. However, something makes me wonder if your own daughters are safe with you. ![]() Initially you sounded like you knew what you were talking about but now you've allowed yourself to descend into the abyss/bottomless pit of tribal bashing and suchlike. That kind of thing brings people down to monkey level. Try to pull yourself together. |
If there's no more constructive discussion, then people should migrate on to other topics. I see its now moving beyond tribalism and becoming a question of who is the better master: Europeans or Arabs. which name sounds better: white one or Arab one. etc etc. @ Axis: now you're telling us you've also sampled married Yoruba women? I bow for you oh. E be like say you can't stay away from Yoruba women even with the smell. @ Dranoel: are you another butt addict? Join the club on Nairaland. |
@ busy body: he's my potential boyfriend and he must listen to me. I like daredevil He'll go with camel. |
why do you want to kill blacks nah? and here I was daydreaming about seeing you ride off into the desert sunset on your lovely camel. |
Axis:like I said, you seem to be getting a buzz from it. ![]() not to mention you're not revealing your own state so people can share their experiences from the place. |
Axis:I dont know how long you and Deepzone stayed together without washing undies, but I believe Yoruba girls number in the millions. Did you sleep with every single one of them during the course of your investigation? In that case, then you must like the stinky smell. |
Axis:Info on London's East End: East End |
MC Usman:I dont know why you're directing your questions at me. The ones I asked you refused to answer. I'm not involved in all the name calling plz. My own issues are of a different sort. Once again- is it every single Yoruba you met, who called the northerners illiterates. And do these stinking Yoruba include your fellow muslims who also worship the same Allah as you. These are simple questions. Why are you dodging them? ![]() |
MC Usman:I don't know how many Yorubas have stunk in your face, but the reason I posted that link about dirty jews is to show you that these stereotypes are nothing new. Its just a matter of attaching a different label to the same old story. where are your muslim Yoruba brothers by the way? Do they also stink, or is it only the Christian ones who smell? Is it every single Yoruba person you met who described the north as backward and illiterates? Including the Yorubas who are married to Northerners? |
@ mcUsman: I said Middle east, not Middle Belt. @ morpheus and ono: you need to follow the world economy before assuming things will continue the way they are ad infinitum. We are in the age of globalization, so thinking Nigeria is at the center of the universe, is a big error. If the global economy crashes, then some countries will no longer abide by the current rules. Thats why in western countries, anytime they start feeling pinched financially, they start lashing out at immigrants and demanding they go back home. Looking at Congo and the Sudan, which factions are winning and which factions are losing? Trying to match yourselves man for man by doing numerical counts like kindergarten kids, is childish. War is much more complicated than all that. This isnt about secession. Its about regions doing what they feel needs to be done in order to survive ( or get richer). When you all are shouting about the north being cattle rearers and poverty stricken, it doesnt take a rocket scientist to focus on the fact that if your claims are indeed true, then it may be a better move to simply invade your more prosperous neighbors to the south. As was done before. Not to mention the fact that its these same northerners you depend on for cattle when performing social functions and for elevated social status in your local community. No be them dey supply the cows una dey take do burial? Who in the south can can host a "befitting" burial of his relation using only goats? You people need to think, for real. You depend on the north in more ways than you want to admit. And like I said, anyone thinking Europeans will make tribalism a personal do or die thing, is fooling themselves. In case you're counting on European support. Mercenaries are known to switch sides. |
MC Usman:like the "dirty jews", abi? http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/pages/ShArt.jhtml?itemNo=669119&contrassID=1&subContrassID=1 |
morpheus24:stop dreaming. If the north divides from the south, what prevents the north from invading the south anyway, if push comes to shove? They'll have the full support of the middle east and the tacit support of the western world who may provide vocal encouragement to both sides so they ( the west) will gain regardless who wins. or do you think Europeans wont do business with the north out of love for the south? |
I smell a military coup on the horizon. the rate at which everybody is getting mouth, can only help a dictator, not hinder one. jeez, every LGA is agitating for "their rights". And in a manner designed specifically to cause mayhem. He said the village heads would get a four bedroom flat each and a palace for the chiefs. "Government is using the opportunity to improve their standard of living".did they have four bedroom flats before? Galadima equally alerted of the impeding doom that will soon behalf the government in an effort to resettle some of them. He said they may likely turn down the offer. "How can you build a house for us without an input from us. They set up a committee but we are not part of it. We showed them the building pattern we wanted but they rejected it and went ahead with their own design. We had expected a round table discussion but they did not invite us". ![]() anyway, this is why most foreign companies retained their bases in Lagos. There's a lot to be said for people's attitude. And this is why Europeans had to practice a take no prisoners policy in so many places they colonized. One would think people would learn from history. The American Indians protested- have their protests stopped America from being flooded with immigrants. |
