any updates? ![]() there are many nigerian bachelors, even on nl [still saw one who posted his photo |
just let people know what happened - that she has the hots for you and you refused to oblige her. or get a girlfriend or change your social circle or invite her to a bible-believing church |
and if the fathers themselves have no idea what manhood entails, what then? |
this guy does not look rich nah? ![]() money suppose show for face, especially if you're nigerian and havent been eating eba 24/7 for the past 20 years. am i missing something? ![]() |
you can also have your religious leader/mentor chose the names, i suppose. that's the practice in some settings. https://www.nairaland.com/902334/proudly-bini-names-meaning |
if you're nigerian [or from certain parts of nigeria], then your circumstances should determine the name of your child. if you're not nigerian, then it doesnt matter. i see names like yejide, yetunde and remi on one of the lists. yetunde and yejide are names given when a child is born after the family matriarch dies of old age and before the baby arrives. So, if you name your baby that, and nobody has died of old age, people will assume something is wrong with you [and your husband]. remi is given when the mother has passed through a lot of stress before getting pregnant- most times difficulty in conceiving for years. so, just jumping on the name remi because someone said so on nl, will be seen as strange by others who know what it means, unless you dont expect to be in a nigerian setting. and does your husband not speak bini language? |
deji-oke:location and population. ibadan is also good, since its not that far. |
if the op is grown, then why is she hanging around that environment? she go get husband so? With all her energy geared towards fighting the dad? ![]() some things cant be fixed, and when that's the case, attempting to do so is like transporting sand to the sahara desert- nobody sent you on such a fruitless exercise. |
please advice and not insultwhy open the thread then. |
Back in primary school we even had a song for Murtala Muhammed. At that point i even thought he was the Prophet Mohammed that Muslims talked about.seriously, is this not a d.aft statement? |
Do the crime, do the time, end of. Anyone who is unable to provide care for a person they say they're certified to care for by whichever governmental authority vetted them, should not be in that position, simple. Even if dem send you, you're supposed to tell them you cant deliver the message. this is why people are enjoined to pray instead of whining about this and that all the time. if someone stays home to watch their kids, you criticize her for being a housewife. If someone is a working mother, you still criticize her over her choice of daycare. annoying!!!! |
the guy was about to go off the deep end, not sure why. |
bump, slow day. |
point of the thread? ![]() is the girl a nler? ![]() |
most likely lagos. location and population. |
anyway, here's what i meant to post before: https://www.ffctideas.org.uk/SamplesMay12/13%20-%20What%20a%20friend%20we%20have%20in%20Jesus.jpg |
whatever it is, certainly not that. |
that woman don see wen for your hand ![]() na all of una sabi sha. not my business! this is why people should learn not to put mouth for matter wey no concern them. |
many are not, unfortunately. being a man isnt just about buying recharge card and bb for your girlfriend/s, imo. spraying your sperm all over the place isnt it, either. booty call every day or week, isnt the ultimate of manhood. |
^she's not your wife- dont worry about it? |
pictures? |
hmm |
INFO OF THE DAY: No Record Of Longest Friendship.true that. some people do have friendships which last that long, but sometimes [not always] these friendships develop comma, especially after about 3 decades. awon friendship "e get as e be". some are genuine though- case by case basis. anyway, nothing i'm typing here is set in stone, so nobody should quote me. |
i'm not a friend! thanks, bye. ![]() if i were one [once again, I'm not], it might be number 1, 2,3,4 or whichever, based on my wealth of experience, though the itk generation no dey listen. however, i do know people who fit into the categories sha. # 6 na everlasting problem. In general, a friend who is happy when you're sad, and sad when s/he sees you happy, i dont think anyone needs to be told twice how to relate with such a person? unless dem dey pretend i guess. |
its nigeria- not really so unusual. poster, if the man is set in his ways, then why not let him be, before one of his "women" deals with you. obviously, you're not religious, so i cant advise you to pray for him? ![]() |
hmmmm |
escobar07: One big characteristic of an ideal man is that he can't be found anywhere. He exists only in our imagination.true. |
ideal is subjective, and one size does not fit all. |
not husband material, imo. |
when was charly boy without shoe? |
koruji: Your statements below show that you are using a wrong yardstick to measure people.majority of the fellow's posts tend to reflect low self esteem and are usually geared towards causing disaffection and strife. he's an inciter and rabble rouser, that's all. good you noticed his mode of operation. |
limsycutey: Thanks guys you've been really helpful. Pagan9ja, I hope all is well, pls leave this thread alone and take your pagan self elsewhere, God fobid, my children will never worship ifa, ogun or any god. We'll only serve the Lord.in many parts of nigeria [dont know if you're nigerian], names are usually given as a reflection of the circumstances in which the child was born. since one can safely assume the majority of nlers do not know anything about your circumstances right now, i dont think you need to be cussing anyone out over their suggestion, since you're the one soliciting here. there are websites where you can look up names of your choice, without asking the whole world for their opinion. as it is, maybe you should just give your child a western name and be done with it, if you cant think of anything to name the child for, and you're not familiar with the culture where you come from. i find it hard to believe the baby's father also cant think of a name, and you say he's nigerian? |
