So far no one is answering the ethical questions raised by this project.

did you read the parts of the people's arguments where they stated that the alternative route wasn't viable?(heck the govt even states it as one of the reasons for suspending the toll)

Nigeria's infrastructure is at a stand still because we are a poorly managed nation. Our government is corrupt and inefficient. The recurrent expenditure is too large as we are unable to define the proper role and function of government. We have a 36 state structure that are not viable and a drain on resources. Throw in there 774 local government councils and the chairmen and counsellors. Our poverty level has increased with each state creation. The whole of Nigeria is the size of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh in size and population.

Any one of our governors mansions is many size over 10 Downing Street with the attendant running cost plus security votes. The cost of running our bi camera national assembly with there insistence on operating like the US with committees and staffing etc alone is crippling. We insist on carrying on with expensive mandates like the money draining NYSC and pilgrims operations etc.

Yes Nigeria,s infrastructure is at a stand still, Education is in decline, economy cannot create jobs not because people refuse to pay toll at Lekki but because we have structural and systemic flaws in our polity.
