re:tower of babel

gen 6
11 Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. 12 God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. 13 So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them.
5 The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. 6 The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. 7 So the Lord said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them.”
gen 11

3 They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar. 4 Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered over the face of the whole earth.”

5 But the Lord came down to see the city and the tower the people were building. 6 The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.”
destroying the earth again versus merely separating humans by language in order to avoid a repeat of the earlier problems, which is more lenient? huh

they were beginning to regroup and once again start the evil errors of the past.

Church and location

REV 1 and 2
The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.
Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write
And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write
And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write
And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write
And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write
And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write
And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write
the only thing i want to point out here is God named/addressed the churches by location, not necessarily denomination.

why location, and why to the angels of those churches instead of the church congregation/leadership?

because location has profound influence on a church. Location = the prevailing culture.

The House of the Lord

psalm 122:1

I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.
in an ideal world, going to worship is supposed to be a time of blessing, when you go to renew your strength and fellowship with other brethren.

in today's world, with the war on the churches and diverse antichrist spirits actively involved in church, going to fellowship is often fraught with difficulty, danger and warfare. Going to church [for some] becomes an exercise in seeing who has the most power to destroy what or who is there.

Its no secret that there are many types of spirits which follow people, some are constructive [aiming to build] while others are destructive [aiming to destroy].

if the number of destructive spirits dominates a church, the atmosphere will be one that drains and frustrates, instead of teaching and refreshing.

1 tim 3

These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:

15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
how are we supposed to behave ourselves in the house of God?

in a manner that reflects the fear of God. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.

1 tim 4

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
now, the "christians" or backsliders being referred to in this verse, are characterized by these three things mentioned here, in addition to others.

1. They promote seducing spirits
2. they preach doctrines of devils [doctrines that promote satanic behaviour and spirit]
3. they speak lies with straight faces, having no conscience. This shows the holy spirit is not present in their lives or in anything they do. They are sold unto sin.

when these are present in a church, it's important to realize the kind of environment which is being operated in, there, and plan/pray accordingly.

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times
pretty definite, imo.

clear description of what happens during the latter days, that believers might not be caught unawares.

1 pet 4

17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

one of the photos isnt clear.

on closer inspection, a lady in that picture was half n.aked. She seems to be representing more honestly than most of the other ones, not pretending she doesnt know what its all about.

the ones who seemed to be praying, who were they praying to?

well, some people have to be the demonstration of what happens when you make yourself an adversary to men and women of God.

otherwise, how will you learn God watches over his word to perform it.

2. If the tower of babel built with ancient skill was that tall to disturb God, them what about the sky scrappers now and rockets going to space.
why dont you actually open a bible and read it, before starting threads.

[quote author=PAGAN 9JA]THE MATTER OF ALL PAGAN PEOPLES CONCERN ME![/quote]by whose authority?

I HAVE ENOUGH SUPPORT FROM THE BABALAWOS!
the babalawos had better extricate themselves from this matter.
Culture › Re: Is Wearing Western Clothing Forsaking Your Culture? by tpia5: 9:36pm On Mar 03, 2013
why is pagan9ja going around trying to dictate to people which gods they should worship?

he's an outsider and foreigner to any tribe besides the one he claims, and as such has no right to "choose" religions for others or pokenose in other tribes' religions in the manner he's doing [like the whites and arabs he works for]. That's a big taboo, and he needs to know his place.

the babalawos he patronises should be warned to steer clear of him, he's a foreigner.

let him go and preach to his own alleged people, why disturbing us here.

9 But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law, because these are unprofitable and useless.

10 Warn a divisive person once, and then warn them a second time. After that, have nothing to do with them. 11 You may be sure that such people are warped and sinful; they are self-condemned.

When the service gets to the Malachi 3 session, look for anyone around you who has real needs, and give your tithes and offerings to them.
like people you planted there, abi.

you forgot the bible says when you give, dont show off.

in addition, is anything wrong with myob and taking yours eyes off other people's money.

nl is not helping though.

everyone here is a billionaire with fancy rides and excellent jobs.

and all the role models are buying multiple properties, jet setting all over the world and living the good life.

the women are told if only they can dress half n.aked all the time [be sure to show breast], then all the guys will fall into their laps and before you know it, wedding has happened and you're in your dream world.

so, when eventually many girls wake up, time has passed and they're still at square one, while the men have moved on to the newest "younger" girl to show face [even if na man]. At the same time, throwing some occasional attention at their online girlfriends just to keep them in fantasy land.

there are plenty of men who wouldnt mind marrying but the problem is they might not fall within the standards set by the women who are looking for husbands.

eg rich, highly educated, tall, handsome, light/dark skin, drive car, etc etc.

molue users, dont apply

wrong skin colour, dont apply

not nigerian/not my tribe, dont apply [cant blame anyone for that, but relax standards if need be]

no money in your bank account, dont apply

no access to overseas, dont apply

living in face me i face you, dont apply

too many dont applies.
