joblessness, wish gej could do something. |
lord have mercy, i think she has to settle this case out of court, or else she wont be safe even if the man is convicted. you dont mess with cultists in that manner. Why was she dating his friend? |
good to know! @ topic therefore, nl site admin is fair game. https://www.nairaland.com/1132216/what-u-score-seun-nairaland |
with her mum, still looking radiant: https://www.ghanafilla.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/tiwa-360x250.jpg native hairstyle: https://abegmusic.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/tiwa_savage-400x270.jpg demure: |
![]() anyway, more on tiwa savage [ i dont know much about her and actually only heard of her on nl] she's very confident no matter what she's wearing, and that's a mark of a true model or entertainer/showbiz person. how many people can rock these different styles and looks, yet she pulls it off each time withuot feeling self conscious or like the world will end if she doesnt expose some parts of her body (i noticed she still has her confident smile regardless if her body is exposed or not): curlers in hair (how many ladies would be seen in public like this? braided hairstyle, native wear, not even the flashy one, yet she still radiates confidence: https://photos1.blogger.com/blogger2/6982/3717/1600/tiwa.0.jpg seriously, she can sell anything you put on her. |
shymexx: Damn!! Your taste is ancient...what are you on about? Do you speak english or should i translate into your dialect. i said they're all scary looking except for tiwa savage. which part of scary looking sounds kosher to you? are you drinking? tiwa's dress sense is usually quite impressive- i wonder why there's no thread yet showcasing her style. |
@ topic read vs 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. |
they're all scary looking but tiwa savage is ok. nice outfit, impressive style, minus the showbiz aspect. |
obviously it is. |
given the fact that the magi came from the east [of jerusalem or bethlehem], its highly likely they were originally from modern day muslim territory, ie one or more of the muslim countries in today's middle east. we do know : 1. they studied the stars [astrologers] 2. they were guided by dreams 3. according to wiki, the magi's gestures of bowing or falling down before Jesus, had a significant effect on later christian practices. 4.the gifts of the magi were gold, frankincense [perfume] and myrrh. the Greek historian Herodotus was familiar with Frankincense and knew it was harvested from trees in southern Arabia.wiki |
Nice. Nigeria's own is on the way. |
You get my point, right? |
maclatunji: Hehehe- Burying your head in the sand. Christmas is the largest celebration in the world and it is based on a big fat lie! If you open your eyes and start digging deeper you will know that what you are trying to parry or dismiss matters! I am very tempted to accept that Christianity doesn't matter- why?I think you should stick to giving advice in family section because everything you typed here can be applied elsewhere? |
The thing isnt to make others feel bad about wanting money, folks are just stating their preference and why. My own opinion for example, about not being able to date or marry into a rich family, is my personal pov, and not applicable to anyone else, note the sneezing fellow. If i know your family is rich, i simply do not date you, this has always been my philosophy and that's just the way i see it. Growing up poor in nigeria probably contributed a lot to this. The social strata is a bit more rigid in my experience, and to the best of my knowledge, most rich guys werent interested in me either, as far as i know. Even in ife, we look at each other but levels are different. Quarters boys, partying, trips abroad, etc, not my thing and vice versa. Everybody sticks to their comfort zone. Its probably easier for a man to marry up than it is for a woman to do the same, since women tend to relax their standards after a while. A man typically can prefer to marry from a rich family while reserving something on the side for runs girls, housemaids, hookers, etc - to him, this is a win win situation. |
Una don reopen this thread so i can contribute my two kobo? Anyway, my comment is, which way nigeria is heading tooooooo |
kaka G: Una dey make too much noise o! Let us enjoy this hols abeg. For those of you who claim Fashola is working list the projects he has successfully accomplished for everyone to read here. At least the poster has given a clear picture from his angle na. If you feel Fashiola is working simply list his achievements in education, health, infrastructure, roads and whatever. Shilenan! If you and your folks need ideas to copy, just ask, no need to beat around the bush in this jungle manner. Yorubas are not stingy with development! Just ask for help and you'll be obliged! |
That seems like google translate. Which country are you from? |
very reassuring, and no doubt they'll come rushing in droves now. . . . . . . . . . . . lord have mercy. |
LagosShia: yoruba accented for "mas-salam" meaning "with peace".the yoruba version would be asalaamu i'm more inclined to think his is probably a typo. |
hmm, wise men from the east, ![]() |
i think hair extensions make for an older look. |
blink182: OP, your friend is just whack and nigerians do not marry rich people, your generalisation is annoying. On nl, "some" = "all". they just cannot make the distinction. some nigerians do aim to marry into money by hook or by crook, but in a country where the poverty rate is over 50%, i'm not sure where they're seeing majority rich to marry. unless they're counting aristos and the like. or maybe given globalization, like i mentioned before. |
bukatyne: love doesn't put food on the table but lack of love doesn't let you eat food on the table. Have you ever wondered why it's women always running from one church to another b'cos of their marriages? it's b'cos 80% of them married for the wrong reasons! so a husband is your ticket to good life... why don't you use the brain God gave you to think about making your life better? God has deposited something in everyone to make them succeed. what if you marry the comfortable man and things turn about tomorrow? i rather marry a poor man who loves me than marry a comfortable man who doesn't! i crave for things i can't give myself in my husband so we can be complement one another! i can't hug myself, make love to myself, watch my back, support myself etc but i can make tons of money, buy myself cars/houses/clothes/shoes, send my kids to d best schools, travel round the world etc!one of the top posts I've seen this year. |
why so many chrislam threads. |
la furia: trying to combine reality and ideals, no easy at all ...everything has its plus and minus.....u go for a girl from rich background, she starts comparing you with her father.....girl from a poor background, u start paying salaries to people u didnt employ to do anything.haha, but regardless if you marry or not, if you're going to pay salary, you'll still pay salary. . . . . . . .or help them find gainful employment. . . . . . in nigeria especially, once you're rich, you're expected to assist others from your LGA. however, i see your point. Make God dey provide, abi how for do. |
marrying someone from a rich background entails much more than just simply wishing to be part of their riches. and not wanting to marry from a rich family also doesnt mean someone is planning to marry into poverty. imo, dating or marrying outside your class has its own risk, whoever is up to the task, well, that's their prerogative. btw, i think this topic has been discussed before. but, i think the key thing most parents whether rich or poor, would like to see in suitors, is seriousness, not singlet wearing bling bling or some such. Trouser dropping, butt displaying, etc. |
luvable sam: I called up a friend recently to tell him I was getting married, guess what he did.true, because with globalization especially, women are advancing much more rapidly than before, and chances of a man snagging a rich woman are probably on par with, if not actually greater than, a woman snagging a rich man. Same goes for ladies too, if theirs even isn't more pronounced. Like a friend once said 'perceived ugly girls get married every weekend while the ones that think themselves beautiful buy "Aso ebi or anko" to attend such occasions hoping to meet Dangote's sons.yes, ugly girls tend to settle down faster, on average. as per who marries the average or poor girl, well, somebody does eventually, since i doubt there are enough rich girls to go round? ![]() |
the "rich" being referred to in the op, is someone from a rich background. some folks like daydreaming about marrying into such, but reality is 100% different. and no, not everyone wants to marry into money. |
